CMP Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 "Mind control?" Arthur frowns. "I don't like that. I don't like that one bit. My most hated foes have all been those who twist others to their will. The Oculoids, the Harvester, Baba, Regret...even Wren did it, with what she did to Passion..." From what I know regarding that, that is some super selective blame. I'm furiously working on the set list and sets as we speak. I should be ready to launch in 4-6 weeks, barring more delays. Also, awesome. Quote
Endgame Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 From what I know regarding that, that is some super selective blame. Masson was clearly getting mind controlled by the weapon that he made. Obviously. Quote
StickFig Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Well it sounds like you need to host a quest. A Wolfgang quest. You should host a Wolfgang quest. Anyone, damn it. *cough*Wolfgang and Shadeaux quest*cough* 1 word: Bonaparte. Another word: Cannoneer! Quote

Endgame Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Time is weird, maybe 147 already happened. Regardless, the rest of the quuest only lasts a day in game time. Quote
CMP Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 I'm really just making a point about consistency. This is why you have to be careful trying to frame threats like this: I doubt anyone is Eubric is ever going to reference this in the future outside of quests to which it is relevant, despite the fact that everyone in Quest 147 is acting like it's the end of the world. Zepher Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 In regards to a relatively recent discussion about unsettled deals when people went a bit MIA, I'd like to post this so that it doesn't seem like Boomingham suddenly gained a bunch of gold between the end of 130 and now (I'm re-collecting his stats right now): Boomingham definitely gave Sarge more gold than we thought: http://www.eurobrick...75#entry2374346 <that's 780! Maybe Sandy messed up somewhere? We can discuss it in the discussion thread. But then he should also get a share from the treasure we sold. http://www.eurobrick...75#entry2439595 <That's the post that you calculated my gold off of. So I should have gotten: (292+780)*1.5=1608 gold And then we will have to all get gold from the crystal skull. So how much gold do I owe you? (I've already given boomingham 438 gold) Well, you owed me 1608. So, 1608-438=1170. And then we all get some from that Crystal Skull too! ^So that's what I'm going to calculate my gold off of. If Pyro returns, I will be sure to remind him. Quote
Zepher Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Also, has anyone else discovered that the simple text editor is buggy and lists every line straight until you hit an "enter" so that each block of stats is listed on one long horizontal and you have to scroll side to side to see it? Why on earth does my internet have so many issues with this server? I already switched from Safari to Chrome, should I switch again? Quote

Zepher Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Well it really makes it impossible to edit stats. Which I had been doing for the last half an hour, until chrome dicked me over and "swiped back" and deleted all my progress. So back to square one... working on it. Quote
JimBee Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Well it really makes it impossible to edit stats. Which I had been doing for the last half an hour, until chrome dicked me over and "swiped back" and deleted all my progress. So back to square one... working on it. Try refreshing or using the full editor. Lately I've been having trouble with the rich text editor switching to simple on its own and doing something similar to what you described. Might have to do with EB switching servers a few weeks ago. OoC: JimBee, I have added your gained ability from the Dragon Heart's Flame. I also added back the added back the consumables you loaned the allied NPCs. I don't think you loaned them weapons, but if you did, please check that they were also returned! Abilities: First Breath (Hybros may sacrifice a turn of combat to focus and gain +3 power. Power resets at the end of a battle or when the hero is KO'd), Dragon's Heart Flame (Once per quest, Hybros may spend a round reviving a KO'd ally with full health. The ally will also receive the blessed and lucky effects) Woah, cool! I didn't know it came with an ability. Quote

Flipz Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Yeah, the behavior you're describing has always happened for me, and it's why I don't do anything involving stats on mobile. Guess it's a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" sort of situation--rich text adds unnecessary formatting and can crash Firefox/eat your post when they get past a couple thousand characters, while plain text doesn't automatically do new line line breaks and you have to learn the formatting codes (which are not that hard, but it does take more effort than clicking the buttons in rich text). Nowadays, though, I tend to type things up in Notepad++ or MyInfo first and then copy/paste into the plain text editor, at least when stats or a lot of formatting are involved. ...I go to quote the "Of Power and Mortals" ability, and this is the first thing I see:
Inventory: • Iustitia (WP:12, causes blinded-effect; light-elemental dagger), Heavy Flail (WP:5, deals Fragile on successful hits; Flipz Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 In the manner of Zeph, for the sake of mentioning things for fairness: I got my two Scrolls of Elemental Aura back when I was claiming my stuff from our allies, they just didn't get listed in the final stats. I also took back my Stingy Gloves from Purpearl, but gave her the Enchanted Bracelet outright. I also deleted the Love Potion that I used in Dastan but never managed to disappear from the inventory for whatever reason. Also, I broke down one of my Silver Ore for the Gold I gave Sorrow to hold for Heckz. Quote
Zepher Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Woah, cool! I didn't know it came with an ability. Matthias will be gaining some as well with his two ancient artifacts! I wrote them out, but then the editor crashed. I'm hoping to power through most everyone else's stats over the next 48 hours. It's such a pain in the behind. I'm excited to see how the abilities play out. I'm hoping they'll add some more options to the game, but don't totally over-burden it. I think that Hope's and Regret's blessings were a good test drive - too powerful for normal settings, but they made the battles more dynamic. Oh, cool! I'd expected it to be part of the Frozen Room side-Quest, but I'm more than happy to be wrong! Just for clarity, how does it work--is it a passive buff that exists as long as I have the book, or is it granting me a permanent +1 Power every time I successfully complete a Quest? It works like you've described it! I wanted to give you a reward for going out on a limb . And it shouldn't be too wild - we average about 3 quests a year per hero at this point (if they're lucky) so it's not crazy powerful. Quote

Endgame Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 (edited) When?? I believe Dyric hopped on board late? I may not be remembering things correctly. EDIT: Yep, Dyric was not in the start of 53. Not a precedent I'm setting. Upon further inspection, though, it appeared he did join a lot earlier... Same day, in fact, so I might as well be wrong. Edited April 12, 2016 by Endgame Quote
