Sisco Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Just took the survey. Boy, did I choose the wrong class or what... You Are A: Neutral Good Human Ranger (2nd Level) Ability Scores: Strength- 14 Dexterity- 11 Constitution- 14 Intelligence- 16 Wisdom- 14 Charisma- 12 Alignment: Neutral Good- A neutral good character does the best that a good person can do. He is devoted to helping others. He works with kings and magistrates but does not feel beholden to them. Neutral good is the best alignment you can be because it means doing what is good without bias for or against order. However, neutral good can be a dangerous alignment when it advances mediocrity by limiting the actions of the truly capable. Race: Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like. Class: Rangers- Rangers are skilled stalkers and hunters who make their home in the woods. Their martial skill is nearly the equal of the fighter, but they lack the latter's dedication to the craft of fighting. Instead, the ranger focuses his skills and training on a specific enemy a type of creature he bears a vengeful grudge against and hunts above all others. Rangers often accept the role of protector, aiding those who live in or travel through the woods. His skills allow him to move quietly and stick to the shadows, especially in natural settings, and he also has special knowledge of certain types of creatures. Finally, an experienced ranger has such a tie to nature that he can actually draw on natural power to cast divine spells, much as a druid does, and like a druid he is often accompanied by animal companions. A ranger's Wisdom score should be high, as this determines the maximum spell level that he can cast. TheBoyWonder Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 I could just imagine what Haldor would say if Jess had a Yellow Slave Leia Torso and Legs. Quote
CMP Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 I honestly forget sometimes Jess is a rogue. I mean, she has armor, a helmet, and she doesn't fit the personality, in my opinion. Switch out a sword for a shield and you have a knight. Quote

Zepher Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 For my part, Sandy asked for RPGers who would volunteer for the experiment, I hollered a "Hell yeah!!" and played the test quest, which was tons of fun. I guess I just never stopped. It's a good thing you did. Not only is it important that we have at least ONE original still around, but I can say that Boomingham and I agree that Nyx is one of our favorite characters. She's consistently played, a good companion, and fun to joke around with. Quote

Switch out a sword for a shield and you have a knight. Shush, we aren't supposed to notice that. It's like how we aren't supposed to acknowledge that De'kra is a Jawa with a witch hat. Sure we all know it, but we don't talk about. Quote
Tamamono Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 (edited) Oh, duh, just noticed that there's an actual survey. I guess I don't follow this topic closely enough. EDIT: Whoops, it appears that Sandy asked everyone to stop. I really do need to follow this topic more closely. Sorry! Anyways, back on topic, do any of the QMs think that their quests will be ending soon? The only available people who signed up for Scubacarrot's quest are me and Jedi master Brick. Zepher Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Also, Sisco, I wouldn't worry to much about Jess, she's a great character, if not too heavily rougish! WBD, sorry for the confusion. Should you fill out the survey as your "character" and see if they chose the right class, or fill it out as you and see if you're playing who you should play? Sisco... not to push, but it's been three days, and you seem pretty active. A quest update would be nice, but I understand if it's a lot. Sometimes I dread updating quests (especially with big confusing quest... why do I keep doing this to myself ). Quote
Scorpiox Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 (edited) I could just imagine what Haldor would say You if Jess had a Yellow Slave Leia Torso and Legs. Something along the lines of: and . Moving on... And I agree that Jess is a great character played very well, not everyone has to have visions and coloured text, sometimes less is more. Edited February 12, 2012 by Scorpiox Quote
Brickdoctor Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 I don't think my quest is close to finishing. I'm going as fast as I can without it seeming like I'm rushing the players, but I think this might be turning into another epic. I had planned for five to six battles, though, and the third is coming up, so we're probably around half way through. Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 (edited) Atramor has not loved anyone in the hall. Leo and possibly Tarn- Ellaria Haldor- Jess Althior- Alexis Atramor is the only epic male character without a love interest. Edit: I forgot Cronk, hybros and Dekra. I just have to make up find the stats for Crozen and figure out her credentials. She's gotta have something to counter your impressive resume. Quote

Leo and possibly Tarn- Ellaria Haldor- Jess Althior- Alexis Atramor is the only epic male character without a love interest. De'kra is a little epic... But on a serious note, why isn't Cronk epic? Or Bartholomew? Or En Sabah Nur? Or Tomas? Or Skrall? Edit: Never mind, you edited your post. Still, En Sabuh Nur not only made a secret deal behind the backs of the Town Watch and the Hall, but he also won an impossible battle. Quest 10 was a bloodbath that every other battle pales in comparison to. And he won. He is epic incarnate. (I need that die!) Also, Bartholomew has an eyepatch. Either he is an evil universe version of some other Bartholomew, or he is just awesome. Tomas also is the first Cleric as far as I know to reach level fifteen, and Skrall's name pleases De'kra. (plus he is an ogre who fights with a bow) Edited February 12, 2012 by Tanma Quote

Pretty sure most male characters dont have a love interest... Your character is 17, and in love with a pregnant girl? some mtv stuff going on there.. @ Tamamono If I am not mistaken quest 18 is close to finishing up, and Ive stated my quest will not start until the end of February, so there is still some time, don't worry . Brickdoctor Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Also, Bartholomew has an eyepatch. Either he is an evil universe version of some other Bartholomew, or he is just awesome. Yes. The eyepatch is evidence of my awesomeness. :pir_sweet:But in all seriousness, Bartholomew is sort of a no-nonsense character who's just concentrating on the mechanics of the game to be the best he can, and he doesn't do that much roleplaying, so I'm not surprised that he's not considered an 'epic character'. Sandy Posted February 12, 2012 Author Posted February 12, 2012 Leo and possibly Tarn- Ellaria Well, Tarn blew his chances with Ellaria by ignoring her over Tesni, and I'm pretty sure Ellaria has only met Leo in the passing (plus he is awfully young to become the father of her unborn child). Who knows, maybe Ellaria will seduce both Alexis and Tesni and form a sapphic coven to look after her infant. Quote
Tanma Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 It looks like the "heroes" of Quest 15 are taking a dip in the evil side of the alignment pool. I will never look at Rangers that same way again. Quote
CMP Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Chaotic Evil Human Rogue (3rd Level) Ability Scores: Strength- 15 Dexterity- 17 Constitution- 17 Intelligence- 15 Wisdom- 14 Charisma- 10 Alignment: Chaotic Evil- A chaotic evil character does whatever his greed, hatred, and lust for destruction drive him to do. He is hot-tempered, vicious, arbitrarily violent, and unpredictable. If he is simply out for whatever he can get, he is ruthless and brutal. If he is committed to the spread of evil and chaos, he is even worse. Thankfully, his plans are haphazard, and any groups he joins or forms are poorly organized. Typically, chaotic evil people can be made to work together only by force, and their leader lasts only as long as he can thwart attempts to topple or assassinate him. Chaotic evil is sometimes called demonic because demons are the epitome of chaotic evil. Chaotic evil is the best alignment you can be because combines self-interest and pure freedom. However, chaotic evil can be a dangerous alignment because it represents the destruction not only of beauty and life but also of the order on which beauty and life depend. Race: Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like. Class: Rogues- Rogues have little in common with each other. While some - maybe even the majority - are stealthy thieves, many serve as scouts, spies, investigators, diplomats, and simple thugs. Rogues are versatile, adaptable, and skilled at getting what others don't want them to get. While not equal to a fighter in combat, a rogue knows how to hit where it hurts, and a sneak attack can dish out a lot of damage. Rogues also seem to have a sixth sense when it comes to avoiding danger. Experienced rogues develop nearly magical powers and skills as they master the arts of stealth, evasion, and sneak attacks. In addition, while not capable of casting spells on their own, a rogue can sometimes 'fake it' well enough to cast spells from scrolls, activate wands, and use just about any other magic item. Scorpiox Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Leo is rather young to be trying to seduce Ellaria, and it is not very kind seeing as she is pregnant. Ellaria just needs tlc, not a boyfriend wh is a large flirt. Why does he think everyone needs a relationship to be cool, just because of Haldor and Goatee-Man, for example, Cronk and Docken are epic, and they do not chase girls. Quote
Etzel Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 You need to step up your evil work now! I came out as Lawful Neutral Human Cleric, just as I wanted Maurice to be. But it is hard not to be Good in the game. Suggesting taking the professor hostage in Q15 was a step on the way. Quote

Althior was a mild mannered Mage, until he was bitten by a radioactive goatee! From that day on he was Goatee-Man, with the fantastic power to give people facial hair! Now he fights evil with his sidekick Zit-Lad! But seriously, I agree on the romance thing. This is one reason why I made De'kra incapable of love, so that his development would be ruled by more original things. Quote

This is unexpected. At least it got most of what I was going for right... Quote
