Pandora Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 It's a good thing you did. Not only is it important that we have at least ONE original still around, but I can say that Boomingham and I agree that Nyx is one of our favorite characters. She's consistently played, a good companion, and fun to joke around with. Uhm, thank you! I must say Boomingham is also one of my favourites too, and I'm really glad Nyx has had the chance to interact with him so much. I really think Nyx is developing a soft spot for the old man, especially after his most recent 'farewell'. Sisco... not to push, but it's been three days, and you seem pretty active. A quest update would be nice, but I understand if it's a lot. Again, I don't want to push either, but I'd really like it if Nyx could also be able to do something? She's having a lovely time drinking tea, but I'm pretty sure she'd like to set something on fire. Now I fear I've talked myself into an impossible battle that will fail the quest for everyone. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Althior was a mild mannered Mage, until he was bitten by a radioactive goatee! From that day on he was Goatee-Man, with the fantastic power to give people facial hair! Now he fights evil with his sidekick Zit-Lad! Radioactive objects are the secret to superpowers! Quote
Peppermint_M Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 I have plans for Tesni, the coloured text will leave soon, I am sorry to have started it off Not sure if anyone is going to try me in the arena though, heh. Quote
Jebediahs Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 I honestly forget sometimes Jess is a rogue. I mean, she has armor, a helmet, and she doesn't fit the personality, in my opinion. Switch out a sword for a shield and you have a knight. I thought Jess was a lithe melee fighter type rogue that fights alongside heavily armored friends as opposed to a sneak type rogue who hits from behind. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Username MDM, do you think Quest 20 will speed up a bit? It has been going pretty slow... often taking 48 hours for the next thing to happen. Guts is getting restless, if he doesn't find a helpless npc enemy to punch in the face, he might go crazy . Quote

Guts is getting restless, if he doesn't find a helpless npc enemy to punch in the face, he might go crazy . Agreed. Not to be rude or anything, but if De'kra is to catch up the rest of the Quest 4 heroes he is going to need opportunities to catch up. Maybe we should force some drama? Arthur suggested that Dak's amnesia might be a result of Abraxas possessing him, so we could use that idea to past time. Maybe this could also explain his earlier split personality. That is, if Dak's puppeteer agrees. Quote
Scorpiox Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 But Peppy, you roleplay so well so coloured text is fine. Quote

Masked Builder Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Not sure if anyone is going to try me in the arena though, heh. Alexis will! That hastened effect will be handy. Quote
Zepher Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 I know, I know... I'm such a bad QM. Not at all! I think everyone should have to QM before they're allowed to knock a Quest Master, it's very challenging, there's a lot to keep track of and a fair amount of pressure. Look at me, I try to update regularly and quickly, and generally screw something up! That being said, promptness as a QM is fairly important. Just bear it in mind, if there are breaks every once in a while, that's fine (you do have a life) but most weeks people expect at the very least a daily update. Quote
Tanma Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Quest 20 is going to turn into a soap. Believe me I don't like soaps either, but we have to do something to pass the time. If we don't I might get so bored that I end up spamming the rules and discussion topic with totally random comments, instead of my usual seemingly random comments. The randomness will infect the other players, and it will spread into their posts all over Eurobricks. People reading those posts will become corrupted by the irrationality, and their posts will become random. Soon enough the entire site will descend into utter chaos, and anarchy will consume as all! See what I mean? Only the first sentence had anything to do with Heroica. And already I am planning the opener for a hip television series staring De'kra, Zane, Radar, Ryo, Hybris, Arthur, and Cinna as they fight the Order. of Greedy. Evil. Legends. and try to clear their names for a crime they did not commit. Three of those characters aren't even in Heroica. We (I) need something to do, or boredom will claim us all. Quote

Sisco Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Alright Zeph, it's almost ready... Just don't get too mad at me when you see it... Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 ...and Skrall's name pleases De'kra. (plus he is an ogre who fights with a bow) Skrall's already actually been married and is currently seperated from his ogress so he's not looking to be on that list anyways, but thanks for your vote <Sorry, I said a while ago I changed the stats of the captains, their special only targets one hero (or these battles would be impossible). I must not have changed the actually written one, sorry. As for free hits, in battles (and I have omitted this rule since no one called me on it ) but I have set it up so free hits are a minimum of -1, or else people would be literally invincible, and I didn't want to hike up the stats of the oppenents too much, or it would be too hard of a hit. Dyric back-rowed it .> Correct, but Dyric also attacked with a ranged weapon, or has this already been gone through in that he automatically switches to a melee weapon when shield is rolled, which if that is the case then he shouldn't need to retrieve his dagger? Other than that, thanks for the clarification on the other questions, now I have to change my strategy. Quote
Zepher Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Dumb, dumb, dumb. That's aimed at me . You're right, ranged should still do total damage. Let me fix it one more time! Quote
Tanma Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Go read a book. I can't, as at the moment I have assimilated all knowledge in regards to my many series of preference. (I have already read all the books I like) Quote
Sisco Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 I can't, as at the moment I have assimilated all knowledge in regards to my many series of preference. (I have already read all the books I like) Read them again. It's possible to miss something the first read-through. Have you read The Belgariad or its sequel series The Malloreon? Those are some amazing books that will whittle away hours of your life. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Go read a book. A book?! What is this madness? Quote
Flipz Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 (edited) I can't, as at the moment I have assimilated all knowledge in regards to my many series of preference. (I have already read all the books I like) I'm waiting for Doc to possibly give Arthur a random encounter in the woods and/or award bonus XP for roleplaying. http://www.darthsanddroids.net/episodes/0134.html Edited February 12, 2012 by Flipz Quote
Rumble Strike Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 (edited) I liked the Ellaria > Tarn > Tesni love triangle and had planned on Tarn reciprocating Ellaria's feelings later. But I guess Sandy has something a bit more dramatic in mind, which is cool. Be interesting to see where that goes. Edited February 12, 2012 by Rumble Strike Quote
Bricksandparts Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 JimB, that's not fair! You don't even give us a chance to catch up to them? The quest was good, but the end just kinda ruined it. So we can't get our award, and it wasn't our decision... BTW, how does one man command a ship? Quote

So we can't get our award, and it wasn't our decision... What did you expect? When there's a pair of evil brothers, one always ends up getting away. I think you're taking this game way too seriously. It's for fun, not to explode about when things don't go your way. Quote

Zepher Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Also, sometimes villains just get away. Let Wren remind you, heroes aren't perfect, and are relatively small. Quote
