Scorpiox Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 5) Look at you, now at me, now back at you, now back at mmeeee. Sadly, you'll never look like me but if you stopped spamming ZMail and followed my tips, you can date like me. Where am I? I'm on a battlefield, fighting the people you hate. Look again, the elves are now Althior and Alexis, because anything goes when you don't fail. I'm on a horse. Best of Luck Harkenshire." "I've got ZMail!" Sound advice, but you ripped off Rone's training! Quote
Flipz Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 (edited) Sound advice, but you ripped off Rone's training! Yeah, but William is actually on a horse. Edited February 15, 2012 by Flipz Quote

LEGOman273 Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 I have a question: Potions restore 10 Health to a target, but what happens if the target can only have less than 10 Health? Does it restore the maximum Health or all 10? Also, can you use multiple potions on the same target at once? Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 Hey, I can talk to you! Thothwick has the ability to translate whilst unconscious! Quote

Does it restore the maximum Health or all 10? Also, can you use multiple potions on the same target at once? Potions can only restore up to 10 health. They cannot restore more health than you started with, so if your health totals 7, it can't go higher. You can only use one potion per turn. Edited February 15, 2012 by Rumble Strike Quote

Tanma Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 As I mentioned I am considering doing bios for the wildlife of Olegaia. Any thoughts on the format below? Species: DirewolfClassification: Canine (Beast) Average Level Range: 4-5 Abilities: Able to summon another Direwolf with a howl, if three Direwolves are present the Direwolf absorbs six health from a foe, pups can flee from battle if no adults are present Lifespan: 19 years in the wild, 34 in captivity Diet: primarily sheep, though forest subspecies will hunt deer. Habitat: forests, meadows, mountains Locomotion: quadruped Senses: smell, hearing, sight, touch, taste Behavior: rubs around in fallen sheep wool to create a disguise, preference to using stealth to get food rather than direct force, hunts alone but work together in fights, mates are chosen by how long they can stalk a potential mate without being spotted, (a concept foreign to some knights) prefer to hunt domesticated sheep because they are more docile and put up less of a fight, forest subspecies actively hunt deer and are a little smaller and quicker, mountain Direwolves also have better agility, as Mountain Sheep are a bit stronger than domesticated sheep Conservation Status: Endangered (except Forest Direwolves) Additional Data: because of their habit of killing livestock Direwolves are hunted aggressively by farmers, which has caused their numbers to plummet. At the moment only forest Direwolves are still common, though farmers will go after them out of habit. On the other side of the spectrum, Direwolves are often used as emblems for groups praising trickery; the Wolfgang among them. Mages and Rogues also will use their fangs as blades; rogues doing so for the association with trickery, and mages for a supersition that Direwolf bones can grant frequent shields. This superstition has yet to be proven. Quote
RPGer Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 (edited) RPGer, read the quest description, please . Oh, sorry I thought that you didn't have to be Level 10+. EDIT: So both me and CMPOD thought the same thing at least. Edited February 15, 2012 by RPGer Quote
CMP Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 Oh, sorry I thought that you didn't have to be Level 10+. I don't think you do, you're just less likely to get picked. Well, that's how most other quests have done it, anyway. Quote

Well, that's how most other quests have done it, anyway. I did specifically state that I wanted lvl 10 plus heroes, so yeah, Its a requirement... There should be new quests up not too long from now, anyway, so don't worry, RPGer! By the way, isn't Skrall married? Quote
RPGer Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 Does anybody on here read RPG parody comics like Darths and Droids, The Order of the Stick, DM of the Rings, or Irregalur Webcomic? I read them all. Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 Darths and Droids If you were to read this entire thread, you'd be sure to find a few references to this particular webcomic. There are many future Evokers planning to Summon Bigger Fish quite soon! Quote

There should be new quests up not too long from now, anyway, so don't worry, RPGer! By the way, isn't Skrall married? Technically Skrall is seperated at the moment, he has to send child support back home from his quest earnings, but he's wife doesn't allow him to see the kids. I just saw a few parallels between him and Scheherazade, both characters are somewhat older and have grown up around orcish prejudices, each have dealt with those prejudices in their own way and achieved some semblance of a life, both are estranged whether physically or emotionally from their spouses, both don't really get to see their children, etc. And as the letter stated the meeting and intent was strictly platonic in nature Anything you hear about Skrall being a "player" are only annoying rumors spread by a certain earth mage Does anybody on here read RPG parody comics like Darths and Droids, The Order of the Stick, DM of the Rings, or Irregalur Webcomic? I read them all. Flipz is our resident expert on those, you'll see a link posted by him every couple of hours or so drawing a parallel between Heroica and one of them. But yes I do as well (read them that is). Quote

I've posted strips of Darths and Droids and Irregular Webcomic! on more than a couple occasions, but usually I do so during a Star Wars discussion because of some comical fault of the franchise. Fred Daniel Yam Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 This, this is great. I have to wonder though if he learned this through experience, or mere common sense. 2,3,5 were from experience and 1,4, are common sense. Quote
RPGer Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 Wow, that's a lot of response in little time. Thanks! Also, I'd like to become a Sage at Level 15 but I love the Sorcecer's shield. Any insight on this? By the way, has anybody liked my Mage. Nobody's commented on him ( or me,excluding Darth N. and Flipz ). Quote

I read them all. I read Darths and Droids, and I reference OOTS on occasion. One not on your list, although it is currently dead, is the classic 8-Bit Theater, an adventure based off of Final Fantasy I. So many great characters came from those tales, the Generic Half-Elf Ranger, Red Mage, White Mage, the Thief formerly known as Prince, and of course the dynamic duo of Black Mage and Fighter. Truly it will be missed. Edit: Alf's match against a level one hero is very...different compared to Leo's, in that Alf didn't take like five rounds to win. I think Alf and Leo were equal in level at the time of their matches too. Edited February 15, 2012 by Tanma Quote
Mibbiwocket Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 OOTS is the best thing ever to exist in the entire universe ever. Oh, um, except for this RPG, of course! Quote
