Tanma Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 (edited) So if Alexis gets this, the room will have Althior, Alexis, Finnegan, Sadie, A horse, and a Phoenix! A Phoenix is a really good investment, for one thing they are immortal. A Phoenix you buy now could be questing with your descendants generations down the line. They will always be there, and when you die you know that at least your children will never have to watch their Phoenix friend pass away. Plus they can teach children how to read, (or is that Phonics?) and if Phoenixes here operate like in a certain movie franchise, they can cure you of poison with their tears. Which could be really useful in a battle with poisonous foes. Edited February 16, 2012 by Tanma Quote
Xarrzan Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Do you want to just write the quest off, send everyone back to the hall and re-run it when you're back together? What do others in the quest think? I think the battle with Boomingham's new holy powers and the ancient (weak cant actually kill a true Naga :p) magic of the opponent disrupted the time travel spell and we all get sent back to our time. The brothers will need time to figure out how to get their spell to work again so we can all go back to the hall until they get it fixed. Then the brothers can post again when they are ready and see which heroes are available. Thats my idea for the quest. Good luck with your comp, having no working comp really sucks. Quote
Bricksandparts Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Sadly, the Phoenix is just for role-playing and therefore cannot use it for game mechanics. Quote
Zepher Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Sandy, would you mind either myself or you writing a quick conclusion to the quest, leaving it so it can easily be picked up if or when Sisco so chooses? Quote
Tanma Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Sadly, the Phoenix is just for role-playing and therefore cannot use it for game mechanics. Yet there is a weapon entitled Tongue on a Stick that has a unique ability. Where is the justice in that? Quote
Bricksandparts Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 That was granted by the QM. You can't create your own items. Trust me. Quote
Jebediahs Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 A future QM could create an ability for the phoenix that works in Quest-only. Maybe all characters that roleplay with a pet could get a bonus ability in such a quest... Quote

Hell yeah! +30 power for demonic chickens! This just gave me a very interesting idea for an optional miniboss and associated mechanics. Quote
Scorpiox Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 If it's okay with Sandy, all of my questers can go back to the hall. We can re-start the quest when my computer troubles are fixed. Again, I'm dreadfully sorry guys. In quest 19, can someone please take control of Jess? Scorpiox, you're welcome to. And yes, I will be extremely inactive for a while. I'm sorry. I hope it gets fixed soon. I'd be happy to 'control' Jess! Just joking, but I'm perfectly happy to do your actions for you. Quote
swils Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 If you have more than one Highlander sword, I'd REALLY Like to see you chrome-ize or silverize one (you know, with paint or something) for Cronk. The shape is great, it just needs to be shinier. Of course, I'm being a total hypocrite here, as I've never painted a part in my life. Quote

TheBoyWonder Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 (edited) Durkon should quit. 3 battles 3 OHKO's. Nasty. EDIT; Capt.JohnPaul, when will there be an update to the battle? Edited February 16, 2012 by TheBoyWonder Quote
Jebediahs Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 (edited) Aww, you're just going to sell the Phoenix, Jab? Quick, someone buy it off Nur! I thought about passing the bird on to a ranger eventually but the opportunity presented itself quicker than I'd anticipated with Alexis' offer immediately after quest. Nur has only enountered three rangers, Erdathcath, Skrall and Alexis. He doesn't feel close enough to Erdathcath, he thinks Skrall and magic don't mix well, and Alexis already has a couple of magical summons so he went with her. He was never going to sell the baby to the wrong person, I wouldn't let him. ATTENTION MEMBERS OF QUEST 21 My computer has suffered massive failure. All of my text files for the entire quest were wiped, and my computer will be in the shop for some time. So quest 21 is on an indefinite pause. I sincerely apologize. This message has been posted from a public computer. Sandy, would you mind either myself or you writing a quick conclusion to the quest, leaving it so it can easily be picked up if or when Sisco so chooses? Is there any way the members can get the two levels of experience they were supposed to achieve upon Boomingham's win? Or at least some compensation in the form of experience or gold for the long waits? EDIT: edit instead of double post... OOC: Don't know if this is the case, but wouldn't it make more sense to try to defeat the other two as soon as possible and leave the North Warlord for the end since he seems to be more defensively inclined. It would seem somewhat pointless to waste unnecessary strength on him when he will only regain it. Don't know if I'm being clear. You're only sending the monk alone to the Gnorf Raider because you want the monk stunned. Yeah, I was agreeing with you on this when you posted but you got overruled. From the battle results, if they'd have followed your plan two enemies would have been defeated and players' attacks defaulted to the raider preventing free hits anyway. Also the special doesn't state you get hit for full damage in back row so I'd call shenanigans on your KO. Good roleplay trying to convert your target. I lol'd. Sandy Posted February 16, 2012 Author Posted February 16, 2012 WBD did PM me about it and the reason I did it was because of a character building purposes. In the future, concentrate on roleplaying your own character, and have some respect towards people who've built up their characters for months. When roleplaying in this sort of an open environment it is always important to discern what YOU know and what YOUR character knows. If your character wasn't there and nobody told him directly, then he has no way of knowing what happened. I hope that is clear to everybody now. Sandy, would you mind either myself or you writing a quick conclusion to the quest, leaving it so it can easily be picked up if or when Sisco so chooses? You can write it. Since the quest is about time-travel anyway, you could just invent a time vortex sucking the party back to current time. Very sorry to hear about your computer troubles, Sisco. It was just bad luck it happened in the middle of hosting a quest... I know I would have a total nervous breakdown if I'd lose all my computer files... Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Leo has a new appearance, and wishes he too was in the hall as The party of quest 21 return. Quote

UsernameMDM Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 You are the one giving me an ultimatum mate, but whatever. Your whining because your character got knocked out for 1 fight. I don't recall this much concern for Dak in the first fight. Quote

I am not whining, I am correcting your mistakes, which is something else entirely. If you want to be dick about it, do that, but dont drag this out. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 I agree with Scuba in that the Giant Spider's Special is poorly worded, with an ambiguous meaning (and possibly a tad overpowered on a level 10 enemy with 100 health), but Username MDM is the QM in this instance and we (the party) have to go with what he says. Scuba, I don't want to lose you from the Quest as you are a lot of fun to have around IC and OOC. Please reconsider your choice. I'm sure we can win this battle and get you digging again. Quote
