Brickdoctor Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 The only problem is, who's party do you go to? Will you all come to my party if Superman is there? Quote
Rumble Strike Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 I already updated Tarn's age, from 21 to 22 Didn't really think to have any ropleplay aspect to it. Quote
Zepher Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Sorry everyone, Fridays are my busy day. I'm travelling this weekend, so I'll try to update once a day, but it's not as much as I'd like. Quote
Sandy Posted February 18, 2012 Author Posted February 18, 2012 I think it would be fairer to let the questers keep any items and gold or experiance they recieved during the quest. Or else it seems just like there was no point to going at all. They at least earned something by spending time in the quest. I have to say I don't agree with you. You guys didn't win a single battle in the quest, and specifically said that you'd want your spent items back. It's not fair if you get to keep both the new items and get back the items you've used. It's either or. Your time was wasted on that quest, yes, but you can only blame Sisco's computer on that. I've been toying with this idea for a month or so but never gotten to anything more than that. Anyways, the one thing I've noticed that this game doesn't have, nothing against you Sandy, are birthdays. So then that got me to thinking about time and how it works with the game and I've decided that one day here equals one game day. I think this would probably be up to Sandy but I think it'd make a cool addition to the game. You are free to roleplay your character's birthdays however you like. I've always thought that outside the quests the time flows like in our world - that's why Ellaria is about seven months pregnant. The time difference in quests can be explained with skipping the travelling bits. Quote

All of our traveling was documented by the days and nights of travel, and some battles still took days. Likewise certain quests take place solely in Eubric, and thus barely have any distance to cover. Those quests can't take days in travel, as they are still in the same city as the Hall. Quote

I guess thats why its easier to not have a time-system for the whole of Heroica, it would just be confusing and illogical. Quote

I think this would probably be up to Sandy but I think it'd make a cool addition to the game. I don't think there should be time equivalents in-game. The seasons and time are different for everyone on EB, and quests take place over different periods of time. I think it's fine as it is. The only problem with that is how this works on quests. Quest 3 for instance took place in one in game day, but took much longer in real life. Quests were time zones affect game play can take much longer than necessary, which throws off the one to one scale. Plus some days in the quests are multiple real days. swils Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Sandy, hurry up and roll the dice for Q14 so that I can see what happens before I hop a plane to Seattle in 3 hours! Sure, I'll be back on the ground by this afternoon and able to check it... but I'll be out cold ASAP. Going on 48 hours of no sleep. Never again. Quote
K-Nut Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 *cough*After the battle everyone gets their health back*cough* Actually, they don't. Fallen heroes come back with 1 health, and anyone at less than full health needs to use potions or be healed. Quote
Poison Ivy Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Actually, they don't. Fallen heroes come back with 1 health, and anyone at less than full health needs to use potions or be healed. Except Barbarians, whose Natural Respite skill gives them back 1 HP per level. So that would mean Alisha has 3/9 HP, not 1/9. Quote
LEGOman273 Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Does this mean that I have 7/8 Health instead of 8/8 Health? Quote
Palathadric Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 (edited) Does one unit of ether enable you to bring everyone on your party to maximum health or only one person? Edited February 18, 2012 by palathadric Quote

Bricksandparts Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 1 more post and I'm a count! Just realized that.... and happened to be just in time to say this... Quote
Jebediahs Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 GM Note: I said it would be that way for now, we're in the planning of Team Battles. Nur & Sarick challenge the new paladin friends Cronk & Boomingham! (if you need a test match) Quote

Masked Builder Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Do I see a Chuck Noris influence? Special II: Roundhouse – Deals 11 damage to all opponents. Used only if all ether is depleted. Quote
Tanma Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Allow me to introduce you to these three pages. Okay okay, I get the point. Robots and turtles should be allowed to fall in love, and who am I to disagree? How can we judge Tom and Tibby for their feelings? We all know that Tibby deserves him much more than Creepy Girl, at the least Tibby doesn't have any silly lines. Still, at least Creepy Girl didn't go around saying, "this is where the fish is," like some witch we know. ...Wait, you meant we should willingly suspend disbelief? I suppose that makes more sense in context. Quote
Flipz Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 ...I...I'm not sure how to respond to that, so I'm not even gonna try. In other news, I have an almost finalized Quest plot ready, now I just have to make the enemy stats, prepare the puzzles...oh, yeah, and figure out how the heck I'm gonna build all this. Even using straight up LDD (which I'd prefer not to use for the whole thing unless I had to), the builds are going to take a fair bit of time, it'd go MUCH quicker with help. Any volunteers? Quote

Eric and I will help. Our LEGO collection isn't as extensive as we would like, but we still have a fair deal. Just tell me what you have in mind and I'll be happy to start. Quote
