Flipz Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 I'd like to help, though don't trust me to build anything Super big... I tend to get bored of one giant model after a while. Eric and I will help. Our LEGO collection isn't as extensive as we would like, but we still have a fair deal. Just tell me what you have in mind and I'll be happy to start. Great! There's two main "parts" to the Quest, so having two different building styles would be most helpful! I'll PM both of you. Quote
K-Nut Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 I may be able to build something small, but as I'm building for my Current Quest, I may not be able to. PM me with what you're looking for to see if I can do it. Quote
Poison Ivy Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Great! There's two main "parts" to the Quest, so having two different building styles would be most helpful! I'll PM both of you. Okay! I hope you don't mind if I build in real bricks, I don't have LDD installed on my current computer. Quote
Flipz Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Okay! I hope you don't mind if I build in real bricks, I don't have LDD installed on my current computer. Like I said, two different parts in two different styles. A brick built part and a LDD part would work quite well. Quote
Bricksandparts Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Now I just won't be able to be on the quest... Quote
Tanma Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 ...I...I'm not sure how to respond to that, so I'm not even gonna try. In other news, I have an almost finalized Quest plot ready, now I just have to make the enemy stats, prepare the puzzles...oh, yeah, and figure out how the heck I'm gonna build all this. Even using straight up LDD (which I'd prefer not to use for the whole thing unless I had to), the builds are going to take a fair bit of time, it'd go MUCH quicker with help. Any volunteers? I was referring to the MST3K viewings of Gamera, Catalina Caper, and The Touch of Satan. The MST3K Mantra is taken directly from the teme song, which in turn links to Tom Servo's tendency to write love songs for random characters in the movies. The fact that the logical fallacies of Tom Servo's love for Tibby the Turtle is not really questioned by me was also an acted example of suspending disbelief, and not questioning fiction. It is quite logical, just in a different level of logic. Also, it appears than an aspiring mage has learned from his prior defeats in the arena. At the risk of being the largest kill-joy on the planet, I think that you have to finish a Quest to host one. I could be totally wrong about this and either way Quest 17 could be finished by the time your quest is ready, plus in all likelihood it isn't my place to say this. You know what, just ignore this part of the post. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 ...and that is why the Mage is a purely offensive ranged class. Quote
Scorpiox Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Do I see a Chuck Noris influence? If that is Chuck Norris then it is factually incorrect, it should read 'Roundhouse: Kills everything and makes everything else wet themselves, effective against giraffes'. Quote
Sandy Posted February 19, 2012 Author Posted February 19, 2012 ATTENTION EVERONE! The Ethereal Letters is getting overly ridiculous. My biggest gripe is that you are not staying in character when it comes to what your character knows and is able to do. These are a few of the most glaring examples: Virus detected. Your message cannot be sent because there was a virus detected in it. It has been immediately returned to the sender. If you are not the sender then please forward it to the sender, if you do happen to know the person. This is a confidential matter and viruses are not meant to be shared. Please do not share the contents of this message with anyone else. It may contain soft(or hard, of course)ware. Proceed with caution. Warning! Warning! This is not a drill. This is...Z-mail. Who gave you permission to tamper with the event? He makes his own auto-response system, addressed to this guy whose name sounds like a food. How exactly can a rogue manipulate a magical mailing system? Dear Thormanil Nihai, I am interested in a piece of Bright Armour and I believe you have one, would you be willing to sell it for 100 Gold? Harkenshire. Dear Cinna the Dark, I am interested in an Aurora Helmet and I believe you have one, would you be willing to sell it for 100 Gold? Harkenshire. "I've got ZMail!" You are not in the quest, how would your character know these people have acquired such items? The bottom line is that if this sort of behaviour continues, I will close the event earlier than planned. So please use the event as it was meant to be used. Quote
Fred Daniel Yam Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 So sorry about that Sandy, no more business in letters. And why do people think I'm a rogue? Quote
Sandy Posted February 19, 2012 Author Posted February 19, 2012 So sorry about that Sandy, no more business in letters. And why do people think I'm a rogue? You can do business, but you are not psychic. I did not call you a rogue, I was referring to Darth Nihilous's character. I'm pretty sure nobody will think that a forestman is anything other than a ranger. Quote
Etzel Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 OoC: Throwing a bomb at an ally will affect the whole party. Bah, can't Hybros go switch side for just this round? He is a rogue after all. Quote
Khorne Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 That's a pretty bad-megablocks jailor we've encountered here. Hopefully for us Jolly Roger's less tough than his personnel . Quote
Etzel Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Sandy, the knight's Sentinel doesn't protect against friendly fire, right? Quote
Sandy Posted February 19, 2012 Author Posted February 19, 2012 Sandy, the knight's Sentinel doesn't protect against friendly fire, right? I have to make a decision on this unparalleled situation, but I'd say the most logical solution is that Sentinel protects from all damage for the round, including friendly fire. I'll add this to the FAQ. Quote

Deepest apologies. Outside of combat, it's one person fully healed per one Ether. And inside combat? Quote
Etzel Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 And inside combat? Depends on what you roll. Heal more, Heal and Heal less depletes 1 ether, Shield doesn't. Quote
Darth Nihilus Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 How exactly can a rogue manipulate a magical mailing system? Sorry. I'll try to stay IC from now on, and let Arthur take care of Pretzel. Dak's got enough problems already, what with Alisha wanting to be his girlfriend. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Zepher has just turned quest 19 into a mafia game Alright who's the investigator, we need to figure out which Felton is Town. Quote
Zepher Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 I'm sure you guys are smart enough to figure it out! Actually, the 4th Wren quest is ACTUALLY currently very much modeled after a mafia game, but we have a while before that. Quote
RPGer Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Zepher has just turned quest 19 into a mafia game Alright who's the investigator, we need to figure out which Felton is Town. What happens if a Taunt like Jeb's in Q12 came into play against a Berserker? Would the Berserker keep its first target or what? Quote
Zepher Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Sorry MDM. One more battle folks. I'm sorry this quest ended up being so much longer than I expected, I hope it's not too awfully long. I'm excited to get critiqued, I think I've gotten better since my first quest and learned even more from this one, but want to hear what you have to say! I also think I'll critique the players/characters (though it's a good 90% nice things and a good 10% questions) if no one is opposed to it! Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 (edited) As I've said before, no problem on the length Zepher. I'm actually starting to enjoy the quest and can't wait for feedback from you. Keep up the good work Nerwen returned to the hall, glancing at the questboard as she went past. The return time travel had been difficult and she had spent several days meditating to recover. Now she was feeling more like herself. Looking around, the hall was subdued. Most of the heroes were in bed.Walking around the corridor to the Heroes' Gallery, she flipped through the roll to find... Points to Chromeknight for keeping Player knowledge seperate from Character knowledge Edited February 20, 2012 by Waterbrick Down Quote
UsernameMDM Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Sorry MDM. One more battle folks. Bring it! I XP! Quote
Scubacarrot Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 What happens if a Taunt like Jeb's in Q12 came into play against a Berserker? Would the Berserker keep its first target or what? This has been asked before, and if I remember correctly, the general consensus was that it is either up to the GM, or the taunt has priority. Quote
