Hybros mugs the jailor not once, but twice in a row, causing a total of 132 damage... To Hybros, Calm down. That is too much Damage output. You are not a barbarian. - Jebediahs "I've got Z-mail." Bricksandparts Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 If I was on quest 14, I'd like to wait the whole day so the chicken comes back, though I know it's time-based. Those chicken drumsticks look mighty nice... Quote
LEGOman273 Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 (edited) Sorry. I'll try to stay IC from now on, and let Arthur take care of Pretzel. Dak's got enough problems already, what with Alisha wanting to be his girlfriend. I think that he was referring to me. Edit: Never mind. (I did hack the Z-Mail system, though.) RPGer Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 I'm sure you guys are smart enough to figure it out! Actually, the 4th Wren quest is ACTUALLY currently very much modeled after a mafia game, but we have a while before that. I can't wait! What happens if a Taunt like Jeb's in Q12 came into play against a Berserker? Would the Berserker keep its first target or what? This has been asked before, and if I remember correctly, the general consensus was that it is either up to the GM, or the taunt has priority. I'm waiting for Sandy's verdict and yes, that was me. The Legonater Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Haldor stood watching Wren and the others. Hoke was frozen still, with his sword in his hand, and Jess was standing there, a look of confusion on her pretty face. Haldor looked to her, then back to Wren. He looks at her, before asking his question. "Wren, why? Why do you deal with chaos and demons? You used to be like us, a hero, you used to help those in need. You must have got that feeling, to feel good about yourself because you knew that you had done something to help another. Why would you turn from that life? You gave up on those who needed you, why?" Haldor walked over the the still Jess, frozen with Wren's magic. He wrapped his arm around her slender waist and smiled into her eyes. Soon they would be bright and full of life again. He spoke again. "You could have been great, renowned accross the lands for heroism and bravery, but you turned from that life, why did you do it. You abandoned friendship, hope, and love. Why" Sadly, she isn't Jess, but she could be if she turned from her evil ways and returned to Heroica Quote
Scorpiox Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Sadly, she isn't Jess, but she could be if she turned from her evil ways and returned to Heroica Hell yeah! I can't resist the temptation to put a meme in there... Quote
Peppermint_M Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 I only know old memes... Gonna have to roleplay some stuff once we finish, got to clarify Tesni a little! Quote

Sandy Posted February 20, 2012 Author Posted February 20, 2012 I hope the people on my quests aren't totally fed up yet, even though both of the quests have gone on much longer than anticipated. I can say that both parties are possibly on their penultimate battle, depending on their choices before facing the final bosses. This means that the quests might both be over by the end of this week. So enjoy the quests while they still last! I will have to make a mental note on not to include so many battles/other things to do into one quest, but at least many of you are now past the level 15 mark. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 I don't mind, as long as there's lots of loot and XP. Quote
Tanma Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Why so many seductive foes in Quest 14? And why are all of them only effective against those that like females? True, the bulk of the party is male, and I am sure that if the group was mostly female they would be fighting an incubus, but that still doesn't explain away why there are both Sirens and a Succubus in the same quest. If you tie in Ellaria's current condition, Heroica seems to be taking a turn for the public service announcement. Am I just paranoid? Quote

A note to those on these Quests: When you get back, stay in the freaking hall. I can't meet you if you run off on another Quest! But seriously, Cinna, Tomas, don't go anywhere. You too, Atramor. And De'kra, get back to the Hall. Quote
RPGer Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Why don't you send a Z-Mail letter to the Ziegfreds to ask if they would rather have a zombie than him being taught in Baba's ways, Heros of Quest 14? Though their reaction will be Quote
Sandy Posted February 20, 2012 Author Posted February 20, 2012 Why so many seductive foes in Quest 14? Is two kinds of seductive enemies too many? I've prepared 30 different kinds of enemies for the quest, I don't think two that can instill the "enamored"-effect out of that bunch is that much. Besides, there is a roleplay-related reason to add another seductress into the quest, as a sort of continuation for the first battle on the ship. But it's nice that you keep on showing the interest in my quests, Tanma, even if it is by picking them apart. Quote

But seriously, Cinna, Tomas, don't go anywhere. You too, Atramor. And De'kra, get back to the Hall. It isn't my fault, Quest 21 has messed up the space-time continuum. Winston Churchill is now caeser, Pterosaurs are a common scene in parks, and Area 51 is a Pyramid. It is totally out of my hands. Ignore the babble above, but De'kra will wait for Arthur if Quest 17 ends after Quest 20. By the way, has Arthur replied to De'kra's last message yet? Likewise Bluto joined the quest around that battle, and he will leave the group here. Nice storytelling element then. Yeah, I suppose only three enamored foes aren't too much, I guess I was still burned out from the love plague haunting Heroica. After all those petty romances, all aspects of attraction just seem overdone. (except magnetism, I would like to see a quest incorporating that attraction. Kind of like in the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess) Edited February 20, 2012 by Tanma Quote

Brickdoctor Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 I was sure I asked this before, but I've forgotten the answer. How does the Dread Hat ( ) affect Free Hits? Quote
Zepher Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 And here we are on the final battle. Good luck, questies! Also, just a side note, but you guys really did some of the best speeches in Heroica while you waited for Wren to explain. You guys are more jaded because of her. Congratulations, she forced your characters to evolve in a realistic way. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Durkon vs. Olinn: Hit Olinn vs. Durkon: Critical Hit Durkon attacks Olinn, dealing 3 damage. Obviously pissed, Olinn wheels back, firing an Arrow into Durkon, dealing 6 damage, KOing the Mage. Olinn is victorious! Both Heroes are back at full health and Ether. I'm slightly confused, could one of the arena masters enlighten me? If both heroes attacked from the back row, wouldn't they each receive half the damage or is this only the case when they roll "damage"? Quote
JimBee Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 I am in awe of Quest 19's semi-conclusion. Quote

Congratulations, she forced your characters to evolve in a realistic way. I knew an evil monologue was coming up and I wanted to do my best to stymie it a little This is one of my favorites Darth's and Droids and I always wanted a chance to do it. I actually like the character development and wish that Skrall's arrow had struck the false Felton as it would have made his progression a little more interesting, but ah well, the villain always gets the last word . Quote
Zepher Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 The reason I didn't have any of the heroes kill Felton is because they had all drawn weapons after you fired your arrow. So I just had Wren burn him. Who says your arrow didn't hit, perhaps it did! Also, you knew an evil monologue was coming up because I told you it was. And thanks for the JimBee. Quote
