Scubacarrot Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 The one with the moustache and the hat talking to himself. He looks like a guard, anyway. He is not . Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 I know who the guard is, I know who the guard is! Quote
Scubacarrot Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Former guard? Possibly captain? Nope ;) Who wear blue uniforms? I know who the guard is, I know who the guard is! No you don't Quote
Scubacarrot Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 I was thinking the Guard on the door. Nope. Quote

Scorpiox Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 " Draugrs aren't people, skaavda*. Draugrs are the risen spirits of ancestors or loved ones who still have something to do in this world, usually revenge on their killers. Not something people are born as." OOC: *Skaavda = idiot in Alisha's native language. Checked on the translator, as far as I can see, doesn't mean anything. Yeah Draugrs is a singular plural. Quote
Zepher Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Question - Do Scrolls always work? If so, perhaps it would be in our best interest to make them a 50/50 shot of working. I know a lot of people have mentioned that they are extremely powerful, so it might be a good way to limit them! Quote

Never degrades away into nothingness, but can't be used repeatedly. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 I thought scrolls were a one use item. If not, I guess I just assumed that. Quote

I know a lot of people have mentioned that they are extremely powerful, so it might be a good way to limit them! This. This would be a great way to limit the power of scrolls, without turning them into consumable-type items (which would discourage people from using them--which is what happened to almost all of the combat consumables in LEGO Universe). Brickdoctor Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 I had always assumed that Scrolls simply allowed you to cast spells that dealt effects instead of Damage, so, yeah, the chance thing. If the normal action (Critical Hit, Hit, and Shields and Counters, depending on the class) would have resulted in a magical attack that would deal Damage, then the Scroll is successfully used. Quote

If the normal action (Critical Hit, Hit, and Shields and Counters, depending on the class) would have resulted in a magical attack that would deal Damage, then the Scroll is successfully used. If this is something the majority of players want, then sure, the scrolls can be included into the dice-roll-system. Or would the 50% chance of connecting be a better option? With rolling the die, there's always the chance of getting those pesky SHIELD skills... Please discuss, and I'll think about it. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Question for Sandy, if a miracle is rolled for a cleric when the heal is used offensive, what happens? Quote

Pandora Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 "I'll show you an old favorite drink of mine. Flaming Gumballs. It's a secret pleasure of mine... don't tell Barty, I don't think he'd approve." Nyx's legacy to Heroica: the Flaming Gumball! I'm (pleasantly) surprised King Earl Lord Laurence Boomingham would wish to be seen drinking a fruit-based (yet alcoholic) drink through a pink crazy-straw that's garnished with a small paper umbrella! Pandora Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Argh, why are you people so lucky! Directed at the people of my quest... Sorry Scuba but long may it continue! On the plus side, I don't have my old Mage's Shield effect anymore, so at least I won't be wiping out several enemies at once with a Magic Burst (as has happened a couple of times before ). Quote

Yeah that would be pretty terrible, but luckily you only got shield once, so far. Quote
CMP Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 I like the 50/50 chance of success suggestion for scrolls. Rolling a normal die for it has the issue of possible rolling a Shield or Damage, when scrolls are still technically items. Scuba, I hope these guards didn't take the prisoner's gold, I'm still hoping for a Mug... Quote
