"I answer only to my own kin and own only allegiance to them! I couldn't care less about these Bonapartes. These Quests are nothing but a means to an end for me. The pirate is right, the Bonapartes have no right in taxing the Sea so heavily. The Sea means freedom and belongs to us all, but I'm sure a landwalker such as you has no attachment to that whatsoever!" Eric replied the Cleric in his usual calm demeanor, but a heavy hint of aggression could be felt from his cold snarling voice.

The tall Nord then turned to Reno. "We accept your coin, pirate." he spat and then continued "get out of here and don't bother us again. Do what you must, but take down those Bonaparte bastards"

Eric drank the last of his rum and threw the empty bottle at the rocks below. It smashed in a thousand pieces. Pensively he stared at the blue waters surrounding them. "If I have to pay for my past wrongs and grievances, so will this world. Turmoil and chaos will rule, as they rule me. This world will burn and be torn apart as I have been."

Never before had Eric felt so alone and desperate. He had lost his last tie home on this Quest. If the gods no longer had a purpose for him, he was nothing but a loose cannon on the stage, without goals or directions. He was split. He wanted to go home, he still wanted to honor the gods someway and see his kinsmen once more. Those thoughts were quickly surpressed and made way for more enterprising thoughts. The world lay open for him, he had none to answer to. The riches lay there for the taking. Maybe he could stray of the right path. After all, don't all roads lead to the same place eventually?

Dear god, that's awesome.

Eric must join me when Arthur gets to partake in a Wren Quest now.

Is Alisha from the Norse lands as well?! :excited:

EDIT: You use the word 'Viking', who are you refering to by this? *Hopes Alisha is Norse as well*

No spoilers from me... to the general public, that is. If you really, really want to know, throw a PM my way. As long as you don't blab ( ), I'll gladly tell you.

No offence, but telling everyone in a public thread like this would kind of ruin a bit of the reveal(s) for Alisha's character.

I must concur, that is one of the greatest bits of text I've seen since Pie's introduction of his demon chicken or Boomingham's decision to become a paladin. Great job Khorne

OOC: Whatever. But you still can't really tell me how Monk Pretzel would react. What if Monk Pretzel is a fragile old man that would fall over if somebody spat at him. What would your punch do? He certainly still wouldn't be standing and glaring at her. Also you can't tell the party that they were staring at her in surprise. I wouldn't be surprised if they had been expecting all along given how annoying Monk Pretzel has been lately, especially to you.:hmpf: What I mean to say is it is not Alisha hitting Monk Pretzel that disturbs me, but that you have already written how he has reacted so I cannot exactly change that without ruining what you already wrote. :look:

See now I don't really know how to react because I don't see Monk Pretzel standing and glaring at Alisha. That does not seem to be in his character. He would be more vocal and less facial, if you know what I mean. Anyway...

OOC: As I said, Alisha has trouble seeing through stereotypes to what a person truly does. She saw Leo trying to make advances on her in the Hall, and that led to their duel. She sees Pretzel as someone who hates her, and thus she saw him glare at her. He didn't necessarily actually do anything other than look at her, but nonetheless that's what she saw him do. As long as he looks at her, none of my writing will be ruined.

Again, the point is not so much that Alisha hit him or even misconstrued his response from her perspective, it's that you wrote what Monk Pretzel's physical response was, i.e. he was still standing and "seemed" to glare at him. If you want to have Alisha hit Monk Pretzel than just say that you hit him and then wait for everyone's response. If you really want to develop your character and you need a certain response from someone, then you should ask them privately before stating what they do in a certain situation. I understand that Alisha misconstrues things from her perspective but the actual action of hitting Monk Pretzel will yield a response that only he is allowed to give, in addition to the party. :sceptic:

..and "seemed" to glare at him.

Him? Since when did Alisha have a sex-changing surgery? :look:

I think I'll edit the post, no reason to continue this debate any longer.

 Sorry, I was too caught up in one of my pet peeves to notice. This was a more appropriate place for the discussion anyways. I hope you both have smoothed it out now.

Also, great story twist with the broom Sandy

I agree, a great speech. :classic:

Eric needs to go on a quest with Haldor, Skrall and Wren, then they can all do what they do best and write epic thoughts and speeches.

I'm not. I sound so awfully stuffy  and honestly I really don't mind that much. Your making responses for me does force me to adapt my character accordingly which is rather interesting to do.

I just suddenly realised that there was a big shift in William's character from a silent guy to a really chatty guy. Maybe I could start writing long monologues everytime I do something.

Thanks guys. I wasn't really aware that people would find that text so great, but I'm glad you do like it  . I don't think Eric will be in another Wren quest anytime soon, because their self-healing bonus makes them nearly impervious to Wren's magic! (or at least that's the reason Zepher gave a while ago as to why Barbarians weren't allowed in his latest quest  )

I had never planned any of this to happen though. My bad dice rolls made me decide otherwhise however. It's only logical that such a continuing streak of bad luck would leave its marks upon someone's who used to winning and being the best.

Raider. :thumbup::laugh:

Ssshh, don't tell...

Just to add to the compliments...

Khrone, awesome awesome awesome. I love so many characters in this game.

EDIT: Scorpiox, perhaps I should have read your post before posting mine! Looks like Haldor and Boomingham have very similar birthdays, if not birth dates!

Here's your character picture in avatar-size (100x100 pixels):

Oh, thank you! *Adds to sig* Now I just need to get past the board signature sensoring so I can properly format my stats...

On other topics, hello everyone! This RPG is the main reason I joined the site, I have been lurking for a while and finally got around to typing up a backstory and digging through the lego buckets. Hopefully I can get into a quest fairly soon and I even have a few ideas for running a quest or two of my own (once I get a little more experience of course).

That's pretty much the problem. Joining this forum entirely for one game has its drawbacks. I believe when you reach Citizen you can have more signature lines.

Nice face, by the way.... :look::tongue:

It seems that once I hit 10 posts it went away. *Points at better formatted signature*

As for the face, I wanted something distinctly...barbarian. Wild and unkept. Plus I have been looking for a good use for that hair piece for ages.

Wild and unkempt is exactly what I had in mind...just in a more roguish and pirate-y sort of way. As for hairpieces, I could not say any different from the one I'm thinking of for Atramor.

Speaking of which, I don't think my camera is getting fixed anytime soon, so I likely won't be able to get a new avatar picture up for Witch Atramor. :sadnew: If anyone has free time and could help me with a new avatar, that would be fantastic. I can shoot a PM with details, but the important bits are just his head (this) and an interest in PotC....

Yeah, I set Haldor's birthday to the 12th of March, and, bar Boomers' time lapse, they seem to similar ages. How cool is that!

And now I get to interact with Larry again! :sweet:

I actually have no idea when Althior's Birthday is. I'll probably be posting one day and then just feeling like making it his birthday.

"The horn of Helm Hammerhand shall sound in the deep, one last time."

Favorite part of the whole movie!

It is funny you mention it, especially since my character is basically a homeric version of Theoden.
