Rumble Strike Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Quest#13 was definitely failed because the heroes did not come back to the Zeigfrieds with the Darkstar. Scuba's interpretation of it is because Sorona ended up with the Darkstar anyway, but that isn't enough! Quote
Darth Nihilus Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Nice, I like the shield, it fits. But where is his famous scar Alisha wants? The final version was supposed to have the Kai face from Ninjago, but then I looked over the archives, and many, many Heroes have that face (Leo and Alf, to name a few), so I went with Jay's face. Leo used to have it, but since TheBoyWonder has since changed it, I think that it fits. It does have a scar, it's simply hidden beneath the hair. Quote
Jedi master Brick Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 ELgar would of sided with Maurice. The Bonapartes have to tax to fund their fleet to stop the pirates. Quote
Darth Nihilus Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 (edited) ELgar would of sided with Maurice. The Bonapartes have to tax to fund their fleet to stop the pirates. Me, I think Dak would have sided with Eric, Hybros, and the rest. Despite taxes being needed to fund a war of such a magnitude, even though few people consider it a real war, opressing a population to the brink of bankruptcy just because you can is unfair. Reno had the right goal, just the wrong means of achieving it. Edited March 13, 2012 by Darth Nihilus Quote
Scubacarrot Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Not that different, they're both really stubborn and arrogant. That'll probably make future contact more than a bit difficult . None will want to bow down to the other . Yeah different not in character per se, they actually have some similarities, but I was thinking more along the lines of viewpoints. Should get fun! Quote

Darth Nihilus Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Would you rather be taxed or dumped on an island after your ship is stolen with all its goods? Most islanders don't have ships, and if the Bonapartes need revenue that much, then they need to tax larger, richer cities like Eubric, not small areas that need all the money they can get. Quote
The_Customizer Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Would you rather be taxed or dumped on an island after your ship is stolen with all its goods? You forget that Reno stated he would try a different way to stop Nemo, he wasn't going to be a pirate any longer. Which is the main reason why I decided it would be best to let him go. Quote

Darth Nihilus Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Pirates would still exsit. If anything the tax would go up so the Bonapartes can repair lost ships. Yes, they would, but Jolly Roger united many of them into a formidable force, and that's why the Bonapartes wanted him gone. If the pirates are broken up into small groups of two or three crews, they will do a lot less damage than a huge, unified force of pirates would. Quote
Jebediahs Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 I like the updated pic, Customizer. Can actually see Erdathcath clearly now. If Maurice gets into a fight at the Hall, Nur will be there to back him up. Bartholomew places three arrows on his new bow, but none of them affect the vermin snakes because of their elemental properties. [i'll attack Serpivine C from the back row with my Mockthril Longbow] oh no! Hoptep give back that bow you damn dirty ape! Quote
Sandy Posted March 13, 2012 Author Posted March 13, 2012 EDIT: Sandy, what do I do with all those keys from the Quest? Can I just delete them from my inventory? I don't think I can sell them, can I? Yes, you can just delete whatever keys you have from your inventory. They're not of any use anymore. EDIT: Oh, and you can delete the remaining rum bottles as well. They were quest-specific items as well. Quote

Indeed, which was the reason I believe removing him as Jolly Roger would be ideal, not to mention that The bonapartes killed the remaining pirates that were in the fortress. I like the updated pic, Customizer. Can actually see Erdathcath clearly now. Yeah, it is about time I updated that, though after my next quest I shall have to update it again as she will be gaining her 15th level. (most likely) Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Don't delete the keys, Khorne! The Jolly Roger's not using that island as a base anymore but that doesn't mean Eric can't. Why build a house when you could have a pirate fortress? Quote

CMP Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Khorne, I literally cannot recognize Eric. At least stay true to your barbarian ways and lose the sleeves. Quote
Darth Nihilus Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Khorne, I literally cannot recognize Eric. At least stay true to your barbarian ways and lose the sleeves. The hair is what got me, looks a little too neat to be either Barbarian or Rogue. Rogues are meant to be dashing and handsome (and/or beautiful, depending on the gender of the rogue), so that means messy hair! Quote

Actually, I can see a pure Rogue with this sort of hair, depending on what vein of Rogue you are. There's the short, dark, but deadly Rogue (Hybros/Dek'ra) the tall, dark, and self-styled handsome Rogue (Dak/Dyric) and the somewhat weathered, dark, and gruff Rogue (Atramor/Guts). Of course, the Roguish constant is drinking, so points for that, Khorne. Quote

Rogues are meant to be dashing and handsome (and/or beautiful, depending on the gender of the rogue), so that means messy hair! Looks don't mean everything, it's the actions which define you. Eric can still smash a man's face to bloody pulp in true Barbarian fashion. Also there exists such a thing as a fine dressed gentleman rogue. Plus, messy hair doesn't necessarily mean beautiful, tastes change depending on culture/history period/personal taste, ... . I really like the contrast between the stereotypical version of Raider/Barbarian/Rogue and this one. Makes it interesting . It's also a way to show Eric's change in mentality. I think he looks like a perfect Rogue. The red sash really ties things together . When I saw the pic I keep on thinking that the sword was a baseball bat! Yeah, I wanted a different pose than the previous picture, but there's only so much you can do with this sword. It so big you can only put it down or in a pose like it is in right now. It's too big to just place it in front of the fig . Edited March 13, 2012 by Khorne Quote
Darth Nihilus Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Plus, messy hair doesn't necessarily mean beautiful, tastes change depending on culture/history period/personal taste, ... . No, but I'd rather not argue about it. That's just how I see a Rogue. Also, I'm putting in some Bricklink orders as I type for some pieces I need to make Black Knight Dak look a bit older, with longer hair. Can't wait for these parts to arrive. Quote
Khorne Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 No, but I'd rather not argue about it. That's just how I see a Rogue. It's not really worth arguing about it. Everybody has their own views on such things . Quote
Tanma Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 It's not really worth arguing about it. Everybody has their own views on such things . Right, everyone sees things differently. For instance, I think all Rogues should have brown hair with a white stripe. On a more serious note, I have to say I enjoyed the pay off of Quest 15. I hadn't expected Reno to be the pirate king, or for the "brutal" questers to sympahnize with his goals and let him escape punishment. They had different reasons, but it was an interesting shioft from their rough handling of that scientist. Quote

I have to admit that, somehow, I immediately had a feeling something was off and that Reno would be Jolly Roger. I really can't explain it any other way. It's just an idea I had the minute Quest 15 started and it never really left my mind. EDIT: As to the shift, apparently #15's heroes are very pragmatic thinkers .
