Really? I was under the impression that shields could be used by anyone. Oh well.

Than what would be the point of knights?

Cannon fodder/meat shields, of course!

The motto that should be all Rogues': Push the big guy with the shield out in front of you whenever you're in a fight!

Yeah, sorry I wasn't clearer on that when you got the shield. But it says here in the rules: Shields (protective equipment, suitable for knights.)

Yeah, gold doesn't rust. Iron rusts from oxidation, but not gold.

Seriously :hmpf: I was joking. Monk Pretzel was saying it sarcastically. Even so, at Eubric rusting gold is very possible.

Oh I don't believe there is no point in arguing, we both know I'm right after all...

Don't you mean I'm right? I was the first one to say gold doesn't rust. :hmpf::head_back::tongue:

EDIT: Oohh.... in Eubric, I see. But then it would have a completely different chemical makeup, and therefor wouldn't be gold.

In Eubric we call it gold because of the colour. Don't know how we got this twisted logic. The gold we have in Eubric has nothing to do with the element of gold. Besides, Monk Pretzel is a alchemist who has tried his hand at creating gold from other metals. We do not yet know whether he has been successful. :look:

However, it should be added, that if he really is human then it is not altogether impossible that he has discovered the secret of eternal youth. Although, perhaps, he discovered it a little late on.

You do mean 'life', right? Eternal life? Because if that's how young Pretzel looked, I'd hate to see middle-aged Pretzel.... or old Pretzel, for that matter.

Since when did pretzels age? I thought they were only good for a few days, then you couldn't eat them.... default_sarcasm.gif

Unless they're Frozen Pretzels.

Nice new images for the Mead/Smelling Salts/Nostrums, Sandy. Can't wait for the Soma to go on sale either. (Hoping it does :hmpf: )

Maybe that's why Pretzel is such a...... Wait, I'm not going to even finish that sentence.

Don't lie to us, there are only 18 Alchemists, plus that Alkahestry user. Although I suppose you could count Pride, but I won't. At least, those are all the important users, no one cares about the others. An example of these nameless unimportant people is that Xerxes Alchemist who started the plot by creating Dwarf in the Flask. Really even the bonus chapter guy got a name, but not the guy who made Father.

And even if he was an alchemist, how could he use a Philosopher's Stone? Those things are made from live humans! (Though judging by scenes from the Promised Day, humans are not the only species to possess souls)

...Sorry, wrong story. More on topic, (kind of) I can't help but notice the unfortunate sterotypes in quest 23. Not all primates like bananas you know, I for one am a hominid who dislikes the fruit.

I made a new picture of Mandy. (Thanks K-Nut. ) As she ages she'll get larger. :sweet:

mandy.png

Great design, it is both simple and easy to identify.

I would suggest not having her age too much too quick, if she grows too fast then pretty soon she will burst into flames and be a hatchling again. Of course I don't know how old Eubric Phoenixs live to be before they rebirth, but it is something to consider.

Oh, so we can't just magically pick one up? default_laugh_new.gif

Well, technically...... yes, indeed you could. It just wouldn't be able to help you in battles and such. It's just a roleplay thing, nothing more. :classic:

Well Mandy can't fight either. Actually, Alexis Bought, yes bought with real in-game money the phoenix from Nur.

Looks pretty sweet!

How exactly does one acquire a phoenix?

Thanks! I bought her off Nur.

Yeah, she'll age at about the rate of Alexis.

Just you wait 'till I get a Ruby. :devil_laugh:

Oh, well, maybe after this quest I shall have to pick up a phoenix of my own. Or may a falcon.

IMO phoenixes should be pretty rare and not something you can just buy. Alexis did buy it from Nur, but that was because he didn't want it and it was given to him in Quest 18. Just my two cents. :classic:

Yes I agree with you. Take Harry Potter for an example here, only Dumbledore had one and you never heard of anyone else having one.
