Scorpiox Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Nice new Guts. The hood and cloak thing is awesome, but I'm hoping that that is just a mask. Quote

Scorpiox Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 The party journeys to the Eastern Bridge to Staugh Castle. There is good news, and bad news. Fortunately, there are no Vikings or Canutes or Gnorfs guarding the bridge. But there was someone, a Black Knight, guarding the bridge. "None shall pass! Come, fight me! En garde!" Shall the party engage this lunatic on the other side? I trust that everybody here has seen Monty Python and The Holy Grail? His special is probably 'Bite your legs off!'. Literally one of the best films ever. I use diplomacy to ask him to move. Again, if you have watched Monty Python, then you will know that 'None Shall Pass!' Quote
Poison Ivy Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Again, if you have watched Monty Python, then you will know that 'None Shall Pass!' And that's why Alisha is literally going to dismember and behead him. She's also probably going to flip him off, but I'm still deciding on that matter... Quote
Scubacarrot Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Can someone in my quest please DO something? Quote
xxlrocka Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 I sense a quest idea coming up....oh, I lost it! Quote
Rumble Strike Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Sandy, really like the vignette with Ellaria and the baby. Great work! Be really interesting to see where you take it story-wise. Quote

Capt.JohnPaul Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Oldest does not, by any means, mean the most accurate. There are many tests that need to be done and the amount of texts found with the 666 number is almost certainly enough proof to make it accurate, unless you subscribe to the "The Early Church Banned the Original Scripts and Put Their Own Ones in Its Place" theory, which, frankly, does not hold water, but...I guess I'm not on topic. That is a good point, but legobodgers, do you have any source you got that from? I believe you, and what you say sounds true, but I just want to see for myself, such as if there is a blog or news article or something. Also, Monty Python and the Holy Grail is the best, especially if you gallop with coconuts in public. Quote
CMP Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Sorry, Scuba. Was on hotel internet yesterday, and everything but Eurobricks was working fine on my laptop. Quote
CMP Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 Sorry for the double post, but darkdragon, I think Cinna still has that Witch's Talisman. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 (edited) Sorry for the double post, but darkdragon, I think Cinna still has that Witch's Talisman. You would be the one to remember that wouldn't you It now seems like Docken has three challengers, he could probably take on all three at once and still come out on top Edited March 27, 2012 by Waterbrick Down Quote

legobodgers Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 After looking at the current battle in the arena I have a question. If a hunter rolls marking the favoured in an arena battle will the triple damage against humanoids last for just the battle or will it stay when he next goes on a quest? Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 (edited) After looking at the current battle in the arena I have a question. If a hunter rolls marking the favored in an arena battle will the triple damage against humanoids last for just the battle or will it stay when he next goes on a quest? It actually does not come into effect at all during the arena battle, the shield rolls have been tweaked (see the first post of the arena thread ) though I am slightly disappointed that Hunter's no longer get their mark of the favored If this were a real quest the Hunter would do triple damage until either shield was rolled again or till the end of the battle. On another note, I know that during Zepher's last quest that he let free hit's do at least 1 damage against heroes with shields to prevent them from camping, but what is the consensus on making that a general rule at least as far as free hits are concerned. Though it may be necessary to make that a rule for regular damage rolls as well given that Brick Doctor can basically go up against a level 30 enemy and only have to worry about special damages or effects. I'm fine with how the upcoming arena battle is going to work and don't want to change the rule midway to help me (I'm doing it more for role-playing anyways) but I am theorizing for what may occur further down the line in other quests. Sandy Posted March 27, 2012 Author Posted March 27, 2012 If this were a real quest the Hunter would do triple damage until either shield was rolled again or till the end of the battle. I don't know if it's been clear enough, but Hunters get to keep their favoured type of enemy from battle to battle. They can only change it by rolling a SHIELD in a battle, though. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 Hmmm...Elphaba needs to come to the Marketplace when I am not on a quest! Lots of goodies I'd like to buy. Quote

Yeah, I think that's something that should be changed. We split the duties of converting classes to Arena rules, and I didn't write up Hunter, so I'm not sure why it was done the way it was done. K-nut? Quote

I definately missed that, I was considering Hunter as an intermediary class before Skrall's final choice of an advanced class, but now the Hunter has garnered a second look from me. Quote
CMP Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 Basically, I am one of the few- if not one of the only- rogues with at least a hint of royal blood, if you can call it that. Because every fantasy world has a distinct lack of runaway or exiled royalty turned into rogues.... Quote

CMP Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 Hey, if you count the Shadeaux as royalty, Heroica has two! I'm just pointing out it's a very common and typical cliche, and just about every fantasy world has one. Of course, Dak is a melting pot of 'em, so it's not surprising there. Quote
