Quarryman Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Yes, of course. The QMs have the power to take away items that they've given you, after all. If Quest#3 would have been failed, the party would have lost all the gems they had been given at the start of the quest, because they were part of the reward. Out of academic interest, what would it have taken for us to fail Quest#3, all of us getting knocked out in the same battle? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 I know, but as this quest has so much more to do. The quest so far has been awesome. Well done Brickdoctor! Thanks.Remember, each turn can last up to twenty-four hours for a reason. The whole party isn't always online at the same time, and sometimes if they are, they don't appear to be posting because they're reviewing other things. They might also have multiple tabs/windows open to EB. Quote
Sandy Posted September 21, 2011 Author Posted September 21, 2011 Out of academic interest, what would it have taken for us to fail Quest#3, all of us getting knocked out in the same battle? Yes, being defeated in battle was the only way to fail that quest. I admit the quest was very much on the easy side, especially since you had such good luck with the spells during battles. But I had fun hosting it, at least! Quote

Well, when you have 3 mages in the party it is rather likely that at least one of them will roll a Magic Burst. Quote
K-Nut Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 But I had fun hosting it, at least! And I'm sure we all had fun playing. I never did thank you for hosting the wonderful quest. Thank you! Quote
Sandy Posted September 21, 2011 Author Posted September 21, 2011 Well, when you have 3 mages in the party it is rather likely that at least one of them will roll a Magic Burst. But Pandora rolled it at least twice, and she was way more powerful than either you or K-nut. I don't remember you guys having any trouble with any of the battles, anyway. Quote

I don't remember you guys having any trouble with any of the battles, anyway. Indeed she was, some mightily impressive fireworks at times. And no, we didn't have any trouble with any the battles, pretty sure at least two of them, maybe three, only lasted one round. Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Don't forget that Cronk slept through the last battle and it made no difference. It was a great quest, Sandy. I think we had the right amount of freedom to explore and a good amount of puzzles for the length of the quest. Not all of them have to be hack and slash adventures. And we all had a ton of fun, let's not forget that. Quote
Zepher Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Sorry if folks find this part of my quest boring. I promise, you will continue to have options shortly, and I'm going to try to keep these battles quick. And hopefully not everyone will be as lucky as Docken so there is SOME on the edge of your seat action. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 It wasn't boring. It was more like, hilarious. Out of curiosity, what would've happened if I tried to build a bomb? Quote
Tanma Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Should the Library be updated with the two new quests that have started? I only ask since quest five was added, though it has not ended yet. Also; What the heck, I'm no chivalrous Knight. I attack the Orc Contestant from the back row. I was laughing at this, until I remembered I am in his quest... Quote
Zepher Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Out of sand? The Orc probably would have cut you to bits. Also, everyone be warned, the Orc was by far the easiest of your fellow contestants! Quote
K-Nut Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Out of sand? The Orc probably would have cut you to bits. Also, everyone be warned, the Orc was by far the easiest of your fellow contestants! Lucky Doc. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Out of sand? The Orc probably would have cut you to bits. And what if I'd tried to scale the wall and kill Draco and Lady Wren? Also, everyone be warned, the Orc was by far the easiest of your fellow contestants! You're so kind. Quote
K-Nut Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 (edited) And what if I'd tried to scale the wall and kill Draco and Lady Wren? Final bosses anyone? Edited September 22, 2011 by K-nut Quote
Zepher Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 And what if I'd tried to scale the wall and kill Draco and Lady Wren? You're so kind. Hey. I can't answer that, another character is free to try that one! And the luck of the draw is so kind. Both times around, actually. You got both great position and great rolls... I'm excited for the next few rounds of battles. Fred Fred Burger get online so we can get moving! Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Out of sand? Didn't you know? Ranger Docken is one of the earliest ancestors of Macguyver. Docken constructs a rudimentary bomb and blows up the entire arena. Quest Solved! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Hey. I can't answer that, another character is free to try that one! Now someone has to try that. Didn't you know? Ranger Docken is one of the earliest ancestors of Macguyver. Docken constructs a rudimentary bomb and blows up the entire arena. Quest Solved! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 cralegoboy, Sentinel doesn't take effect until the round after it was rolled. Quote
Jebediahs Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Good luck with the shuriken in arena! Those fights seem like they're going to be the most challenging to me. Does the cleric shield/miracle ability work as damage on a group of undead mobs or is it heal party only? Quote
Peanuts Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 The Arena doesn't look that boring at all, I'm rather afraid if I'll have a chance against my enemy. Well, time will show. Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 I am enjoying Quest 4 so far. Come on Brickdoctor! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Come on Brickdoctor! Flare hasn't posted yet, and he has five more hours left to do so. Quote
Tanma Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Flare hasn't posted yet, and he has five more hours left to do so. I assume that if he doesn't, the team leader will decide his course of action? Quote
