Flipz Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Althior, he'd probably just strap it to Finnegan. Though Arthur would try to come up with some nifty fancy pants siege engine. *Hides papers behind back* blueprints? What blueprints??? Quote

K-Nut Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 I can see it now......Bomb launchycorridorydoorystairythingy. Perhaps Heroica's first remote controlled bomb? Quote
Poison Ivy Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Perhaps Heroica's first remote controlled bomb? Or he can just stick it in a jar and call it "Bombergan". That would probably work. Quote
Tanma Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 I suggest taking a page from Link's handbook, and make bomb arrows. Or alternatively attach a bomb to an Australian weapon, and make a Boom-erang. Quote
JimBee Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 I think Sandy did the encouraged-effect differently, at least for mugs. In Quest 15 she calculated the encouraged effect before the mug multiplier. I'd say it makes more sense to calculate the encouraged effect after everything else, though. I disagree. it already got nerfed by a 50% price increase. Agreed with Scubacarrot. One of the few advantages of being a Rogue is the ability to buy more stuff (because we get more gold). So by getting nostrums, meads, and smelling salts Rogues become much more useful in battle. That die... Quote
Rumble Strike Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 (edited) Darth Nihilus, Tarn never went straight back to the Hall. He is currently wandering around near the marketplace, wondering if he should buy a couple of gems to enfuse with Kyrferath, and if so, which ones. Edited April 5, 2012 by Rumble Strike Quote
Tanma Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 (edited) Edit: so this post was pretty much out of place, so I decided to destroy it. Instead I will ask the more on topic question, who has been your favorite opponent in Heroica? Which enemy combatant, named or otherwise, has interested you the most? Khorne Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Just wanted to say that I'll be gone 'till Monday. In case I still get picked for Quest 27: Badger Badger Badger, the party leader can decide my actions until I'm back . Quote
Scorpiox Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Edit: so this post was pretty much worthless and just weird in my book, so I decided to destroy it. Instead I will ask the more on topic question, who has been your favorite opponent in Heroica? Which enemy combatant, named or otherwise, has interested you the most? Donny was pretty cool. I also really like the chaos beasts and Wren. Quote

Didn't actually fight them, but I have to say: Haroka and Sorona. Until we meet again Quote
Rumble Strike Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Thanks Scuba, although she didn't become an actual enemy, Sorona was a blast to use as an NPC. The fact that your quest guide was so bloodthirsty was a lot of fun, but I appreciate that you guys in the Quest had to deal with that. Quote
Tanma Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 I would go with the mirror in Quest 10. Of all the enemies, it was the closest to killing all the heroes of a team. The only way it would have been better is if the mirror copies it spawned talked to their counterparts, toying with them and abusing their flaws. It also would be interesting if the foes weren't constructs, but versions of the heroes from a "mirror" universe. Quote
Flipz Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 It also would be interesting if the foes weren't constructs, but versions of the heroes from a "mirror" universe. Quit stealing my plot points! Quote
Sandy Posted April 6, 2012 Author Posted April 6, 2012 I wonder when i'll be added to the Hall's list of heroes? Thanks for the picture, Endgame, now I can finally add your character to the Gallery. Quote
Jebediahs Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Which enemy combatant, named or otherwise, has interested you the most? I like the sleeping ogre guard from Quest 14. He worked hard to perfect his open-eyed sleeping technique. Quote
Palathadric Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 *Drake notices people walking out of hall* "They must be the people chosen to go on quest 27! Might not be hard, I mean, they only have to go deliver something....I think. Now, I'm bored, so I shall get drunk and sing silly songs from the balcony of the stairs! Or more like, do it and not get drunk. Ooh, rum!" *Sips some rum and stands on balcony of stairs* "Twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are!" Ummm...I don't think you can be fighting in the arena and singing, "Twinkle, twinkle in the hall at the same time. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 As I said earlier, I am looking to add two gems to my existing Water one. Looking at Ice, Lightning, Light and Darkness. Any opinions on which are best in play? Quote
Masked Builder Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Light and darkness are both gems you have to have, you see enemies that are affected by them the most. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Yes, that's true. I guess I'm then asking if it's worth picking up Ice and Lightning from Elphaba while I can. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Darkness & lightning. However, I decided to separated my gem from my sword so it wouldn't be useless against anything. Lucky for me I have the Cultist Hat that helps out with non-imbued weapons. Quote
Masked Builder Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Yes, that's true. I guess I'm then asking if it's worth picking up Ice and Lightning from Elphaba while I can. Yep, you have to have Lightning, go for it. You do not have to have ice though. Quote
Tanma Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Yes, that's true. I guess I'm then asking if it's worth picking up Ice and Lightning from Elphaba while I can. It all depends on the quest you are on, but I would say that they are both useful. Also, if you bind a Topaz to your battle ax of water, it will nulify your gem's current weakness to aquatic foes. The ax would be useless against electric foes, but you also be able to deal major damage to mechanical entities and fliers, along with flaming foes and rock monsters. That is, if I understand the rules right. Quote
