xxlrocka Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Ummm...I don't think you can be fighting in the arena and singing, "Twinkle, twinkle in the hall at the same time. Let's just say I left the arena just to sing that song and do some stuff. Quote
Bricksandparts Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Bricks, Sage still can't use shields. Ok, I won't add it into the effects. But the other advantage is that he has already had experience with Direwolves. That's why I gave him an advantage. Quote

Jedi master Brick Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 The dragon is a strong foe for a ranger who had to run away from spiders . But with our luck from the last round it would be easier Quote

Rumble Strike Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 I think you Quarry Questers are in serious trouble here, that dragon has a raft of specials and such high level and health. Quote

Meh, kinda, It would be better in my opinion if it had not the possibility of one-shotting people, and if it was a Beast, but yeah, we are pretty much screwed . And: NOOOO, My name shall forever not be in black anymore Quote
Tanma Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 second foe, actually Really? I guess I must have merged two quests together in my mind. I blame the fact that De'kra 's last quest featured a giant spider. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 Erik climbs in the window before crossing over to the quest board and signing his name under quest 29. Erik Tyrvarr signs up for quest 29: Journey to Dastan No offense or anything, but there is already a character named Erik, I suggest you rename yours, to avoid confusion. Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 No offense or anything, but there is already a character named Erik, I suggest you rename yours, to avoid confusion. No, not really. Firstly, Khrone's character is called Eric, not Erik, so when it is spelt in the game threads there is no confusion. Secondly, Myrddyn has provided a surname with his character, to further differentiate himself from Eric. Thirdly, in the real world, people share the same names. In past jobs and classrooms many have had the same name (including one class with four Beckys, two of whom shared the same surname), so I don't think having a similar name is cause for change. Quote

Sandy Posted April 8, 2012 Author Posted April 8, 2012 No, not really. Firstly, Khrone's character is called Eric, not Erik, so when it is spelt in the game threads there is no confusion. Secondly, Myrddyn has provided a surname with his character, to further differentiate himself from Eric. Thirdly, in the real world, people share the same names. Those are the same reasons why I did not ask Myrddyn to change his name. Darth Nihilus's character was originally going to be called "Eric" as well, and that was changed by my request. Of course I hope that all new players check through the heroes' gallery first to see if the name they are thinking for their character has already been taken, but as long as most people stick to original, fantasy-themed names, there should be no worries about mixing up two characters. The party has almost every consumable in game available to them. Drink meads and stay in the back row. Apply venoms and deadly venoms to help with the damage. Hybros can play healer with all those potions. The team can flee or use a smoke bomb if necessary. If everyone is in dire straights, all can sit in the back, consume a potion and the orc can take a little bit of damage from a free hit. You also have the bard. It's a dragon. The fight's not supposed to be easy but it's nowhere near impossible. Quote

I don't doubt that they could take him down, although the thing does worry me is that this is pretty much just the beginning of the quest. That could be an indication that the worst is yet to come. I have a question about imbuing elemental weapons. Basically, how do they stack? For example, Leechfeather is currently a fire/wind elemental. Neither of them have an effect on Rock Monsters, but since they're both imbued, does it...heal Rock Monsters if I try to attack? Also, if I were to an add an Opal, would I be dealing x4 damage to Beasts and Vermin? Edited April 8, 2012 by CallMePieOrDie Quote

Also, if I were to an add an Opal, would I be dealing x4 damage to Beasts and Vermin? We talked about this quite a lot of pages back. So basically, if you have a ruby and aquamarine gem in the same weapon, the ruby will displace the water's ability to even do ANY damage towards fiery and rock monsters. No matter how many gem you stack up, any gem that doesn't effect a certain enemy cannot be changed by adding other gems that counteract that. For reference: Quote

Yeah I understand that, I was just saying that this was what Sandy said, to show I'm not trying to be a make-up-the-rules or this-is-what-I-think kind of guy. Oh, and the elemental damage does multiply each time you add another gem with a common effective power. So a Sapphire and opal would do 4x damage against vermin. Quote
