Waterbrick Down Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 (edited) Yes. Wait, if Leo is KO'd then he cannot be healed, only revived, unless there is a typo in the stats. Edited April 9, 2012 by Waterbrick Down Quote

Sandy Posted April 9, 2012 Author Posted April 9, 2012 Wait, if Leo is KO'd then he cannot be healed, only revived, unless there is a typo in the stats. In quest #24 how are the non-elemntal weapons dealing damage to the undead type creature? Wait, wait, wait... Capt.JohnPaul, I thought you were experienced enough to know that if a player's health falls to zero, he has to be revived before he can be healed again - that's why there's Phoenix Essences in the game. And undead enemies can only be damaged by elemental attacks or spells. This is your second time hosting a quest, I shouldn't be reminding you of basic rules like this anymore... Quote
Rumble Strike Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 I hate to say it but I'm still confused about the multiple gems and what they're effective against or not. From what I've read, if something is ineffective then there is nothing you can do to counteract that. I'm guessing that's for balance. If I had a Ruby and an Aquamarine, the Aqumarine wouldn't counter the weakness against fire/rock? So it would mean that if you want multiple gems in one weapon that you are best off chosing ones that are effective against multiple types to gain double damage, with the balancing drawback that you are adding one or two types that the weapon will be useles against. Bricksandparts Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Yes, but as stated in quest 14, there is evidently a super gem that combines all of the gems. As of now, it is unreleased. Quote
K-Nut Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Yes, but as stated in quest 14, there is evidently a super gem that combines all of the gems. As of now, it is unreleased. Actually, that was Quest #15. I really don't care about that, I'm pretty happy with my fire power right here. Quote
JimBee Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Perhaps this ought to be put in the FAQs, as it's asked every 50 pages or so. If a weapon is imbued with two gems and they have overlapping elemental strengths/weaknesses, the resultant strengths/weaknesses happen like this: Both are weak (read: ineffective) against Element X - Ineffective Both are strong (read: 2x damage) against Element X - 4x damage Both are normal (1x damage) against Element X - Normal damage (1x) One is strong and one is weak against Element X - Normal damage (1x) One is strong and one is normal against Element X - 2x damage One is weak and one is normal against Element X - Ineffective Correct me if I'm wrong, but I hope this helps. And while we're on the subject of elements, if Tarn was looking for an effective element I would definitely get an Opal. It's the most valuable out of the ones that you can buy from Elphaba because it's strong against 3 types (one of which is very common) and weak against only one type (Ice, which is very uncommon). Bricksandparts Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Actually, that was Quest #15. I really don't care about that, I'm pretty happy with my fire power right here. No, it actually WAS quest 14: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=62722&view=findpost&p=1221712 "Although, I have heard of an exceedingly rare gem that combines all elements. I just do not know where to get one." Quote
Rumble Strike Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Thanks JimB, that does help. And thanks for the recommendation too, I will certainly be looking at Opal again. Quote
xxlrocka Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Go reread what you types. Makes it sound like you were on a quest that had the QM banned. It would be funny if a QM who was still doing a quest was banned. Everyone would be all like:"What should we do? Maybe cancel the quest?". Now that's a good idea. If a QM still doing a quest gets banned, the quest could be cancelled! Just an idea. Quote

xxlrocka Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 I love the bard in quest 26. By the sounds of what happened in his past, I assume he is called homer singerson? Makes me laugh every time I say that or think of it. And this play. Is it called the simpsons? Quote

Flipz Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 "It's three, three bedrolls. I'll find a use for them someday." Note to self: If I ever get the chance to QM for Tamamono, be sure that dozens of bedrolls suitable only for him are part of all loot. Quote
Bricksandparts Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Leo has fire and ice swords. Monk Pretzel heals the undead, and Benji threw an ice bomb. What's wrong? Regular attacks don't damage the undead. It must be a light elemental attack or healing to damage them. Quote
Fred Daniel Yam Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 ...you know, I have no idea. So mate, you are hypothesising about that a banned QM or user in general would be funny but now you don't know why? How would you like to go into the chamber and see how funny it is? Quote

That would be so great. It'd be awesome if you could come up with an idea for another use for bedrolls, too. Quote
