Brickdoctor Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 I assume that if he doesn't, the team leader will decide his course of action? Or I would choose it for him, as stated in the Rules. I know everyone's anxious to continue, though, so I'm going to go do some die rolling, and if Flare's action doesn't change whether the battle is won or the battle continues, I'll end this turn early. Masked Builder Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Just to tell you guys, Flare is pretty busy with school and stuff. I can't say how much he'll be on. Quote
Darkdragon Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Why do people keep signing up for quests when they know they will be busy? I know you can't answer, just venting a frustration. Quote

Well with Flare I think he thought he wouldn't be busy but he was surprised by some of his work or something like that. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 I suppose I'll give Captain Tamamono control over his character permanently, and Flare can come in and give his own actions whenever he's able. Quote
Sisco Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Attention all participants to quest 5; A close relative of mine died today. I'm going to have to be away until Monday or Tuesday attending their funeral, which will be on the other side of the state. During this time, I will have little to no Internet access. I'm terribly sorry about the inconvenience, but she was in perfect health when I began the quest, and her death has rocked my family. Quote
swils Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Hey doc, you mentioned in the Arena thread that you're using the acronym feature in your signature. I rather like the idea, and could definitely see it being useful for keeping track of individual stats (like the modifier to Thormanil's power, for instance). I tried to use it in my signature, but the code just came up as text. Is this another feature that will be "unlocked" as I become more active on EB, much like the line limit in signatures? Quote

Could be some of the characters you've used in the Inventory. You'll need to get rid of all punctuation except for periods and dashes. Quote

Ah, that'll do it. Had some +'s and #'s in there. I'll give it another go later today, after my lab. On that note, off to lab! Quote

It reminds me when my grandmother died last Christmas. Very unexpected. I wish you and your family the best. And the brief hiatus doesn't bother me, My Death Star's getting here this weekend. Quote

swils Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 (edited) Heh, lucky Chris! Had the barbarian landed a normal hit, the poor knight would be lying face down on the arena floor right now. Interesting to see how the scaling mechanic of the proc on the hammer actually hindered it's user on that last turn. Edit: Cralegoboy, I just read back a few messages on this thread and realized I'd missed what you'd said between my posts. You and your family have my best wishes. And since the Hammer takes away only half the health, rounded in the hero's favor, when Fred reaches 1 health, he'll be immune to the Special attack. I'm sorry to hear about your loss, cralegoboy. Hope you have a safe trip. Quote
Zepher Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 Everyone still hasn't caught the two fun twists. And last round it didn't help him, though this round it will, if it lands! Quote
swils Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 (edited) Everyone still hasn't caught the two fun twists. And last round it didn't help him, though this round it will, if it lands! "Him" being the barbarian contestant, or Chris? Edit: Disregard question that was here. The above stands, though. Edited September 23, 2011 by swils Quote
Zepher Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 Well, I guess their not "twists" but rather something that people may not have realized yet. And I'm happy to see that this battle is a little more of a on the edge of your seat sort of thing! Quote
Fred Fred Burger Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 Man just being able to attack sucks:hmpf_bad:. Not having all your items, though it sounds good, leads to really boring and predictable fights. Not having my shield really hurt me on this one. And Cragleboy: Sorry about your loss ,I wish the best for your family:sad:. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 ... QM Note: That's right, eight enemies. What about the rat? Quote
Sisco Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 Thanks for the best wishes, everyone. I'll be leaving tomorrow. Quote

CorneliusMurdock Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 Safe travels and take care, Cralegoboy. The barbarian rolls an attack, too. I assume then, we'll be pitted against one another. Will Sir Christopher be out of the quest if he fails? That would suck. Quote
Zepher Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 Will Sir Christopher be out of the quest if he fails? That would suck. All in good time, all in good time. Losing has it's consequences, but I wouldn't worry too much, and I'm rooting for Christopher anyway! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 What about the rat? Long story. Got all my animals mixed up, lost, and other stuff like that, then threw them into the shot, realized I was showing nine enemies, and had to cut one because it wouldn't be fair to a party of eight. The rat was the easiest to cut. Quote
