Sandy Posted April 11, 2012 Author Posted April 11, 2012 By the way, De'kra asked Byblos for information on Dastan, can you reply? I have already answered a question about Dastan in the Library in the past, just look it up. I'm kinda busy at the moment, if you haven't noticed... Quote
Flipz Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 I know, but I am waiting for a reply in the library. Of course I could use my time distortion excuse to explain how De'kra could write a letter in the middle of talking to Byblos. Just say Byblos was too busy eating a banana to talk, and that he slid a book on Dastan over to De'kra, with the info from the previous conversation in it. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Wish I could make the Wren quest! Love another shot at a Zoot's plaything. Quote
CMP Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 For the Bright Armor/Aurora Helmet, is it implying that enemies have been dealing specific elemental damage this whole time? I'm a bit confused on that, because if Fiery monsters have been dealing fire damage, what deals darkness damage? Demons/undead? Quote

I'm a bit confused on that, because if Fiery monsters have been dealing fire damage, what deals darkness damage? Demons/undead? No, all enemies deal non-elemental damage by default. But some QMs (me included) have made some specials dealing certain elemental damage to the party. It's up to the QMs how they wish to use these elemental properties in their battles. Quote
CMP Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Oh, so it's a QM discretion thing. All right, thanks. Quote

But some QMs (me included) have made some specials dealing certain elemental damage to the party. It's up to the QMs how they wish to use these elemental properties in their battles. What about the Arena? Those armors make the wearer immune to enemy Mages in the Arena that attempt to use those elements, right? Also, I don't remember if we went over this, but does Darkness do double damage to Heroes in the Arena or not? I'm pretty sure it has on Quests, but... Quote
CMP Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 The ends of your quests never cease to amaze me, Doc. Quote
Masked Builder Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 The ends of your quests never cease to amaze me, Doc. Yes, that was amazing. Epic quest Doc! Quote
Flipz Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 To be concluded... Spot freakin' reserved! Great Quest, Doc! Off to the marketplace so I can become overpowered now... Quote
K-Nut Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 It feels so weird posting in the hall this year. Althior gets the center spot in the last shot! Woot! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Althior gets the center spot in the last shot! Woot! Only 'cause you're the Party Leader. And you have to share the spot with Xander. Everyone else was arranged based on how visible they'd be. (William is off to the side because of his huge bow that I didn't want in front of someone's face [the repeating crossbow has illegal connections], and Arthur and Arasmyth are in the back because their hats and staves make them easily recognizable, for example) Quote
K-Nut Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Only 'cause you're the Party Leader. And you have to share the spot with Xander. Still, it's the center spot. Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Althior was on the Heroes picture at the end of quest 4 as well. Quote
Tanma Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 To be concluded... Poor Breach... ...Never thought I would say that about a Yandere, although her status as one is debatable. More on topic, I have to say I am almost sad that Quest 17 has ended, it was a lot of fun to read, and to try to come up with ideas for De'kra to suggest. Especially since De'kra's advanced technology doesn't line up well with Uland tech. Quote
CMP Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 When Atramor spoke, she bursted out even more: "Don't even get me started on the bloodbath you started in my jail! What the hell happened in there?! I almost believe my predecessor's words, that you Heroes are all useless! Now, take your money and go, get out, GET OUT!!! The party sees it is best to leave, and returns to the hall. Also a good way to end a quest: failed attempts at extortion. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Althior was on the Heroes picture at the end of quest 4 as well. He was in that one because when I said 'Heroes.' at the end of Quest 4, I wasn't referring to the heroes of the quest. I picked out three distinctive heroes whom I could make with my available parts. To be completely honest, I was going to have Ellaria in that spot as a support class (with Docken as long-range offensive and Cronk as melee defensive), but then I decided that I wanted Finnegan in the picture, so... (as it turned out, I have Althior as long-range offensive, Cronk as melee defensive, and Docken as long-range support) This time, I just decided to use LDD. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 So. My quest has finished as well, before anyone says it: The ending sucked. I know. There is a reason for it, as there is for everything. I would love some feedback! Quote
JimBee Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Scubacarrot: I didn't mind the ending. It was a little sudden, but loose ends leave room for sequels. On another note, Zepher, Brickdoctor and I are all excited to be hosting the three Dastan quests (and hope you are too!). In case anyone was looking for it, Sandy did make a post in the library about Dastan, here. In case anyone was curious. Quote
Zepher Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Its been a long time coming... I just had an idea (and since we're just throwing out general Heroica ideas, and because it concerns you, and because I like you guys) I'm just going to throw it out there. We should totally at some point in the far off future do a SUPER QUEST, where a number of Quest Masters do a number of complimentary Quests. The quests would effect each other, but never meet. That way we'd only have to manage a few players each (I don't know HOW you manage 8 players Brickdoctor, six is still seeming like a lot to me), but the quest could be epic and involve tons of heroes. Just an idea for the far off future, but it could be cool! Quote
Flipz Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Its been a long time coming... Heh, and I suggested the same thing to you in PM about a month later--suggesting you and Brickdoctor, nonetheless! 2 out of 3 less than a month later ain't bad, right? Quote
Sloop Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Althior gets the center spot in the last shot! Woot! Hah, well I'm um, *searches for some way he is unique*, the only one holding TWO items! Oh yeah. Quote
K-Nut Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Hah, well I'm um, *searches for some way he is unique*, the only one holding TWO items! Oh yeah. Actually, I have a dagger in my hand too, so you're still not unique. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Also, Isabella has a dagger in her other hand which can't really be seen in the silhouette from this angle, Alexandre has a shield that's behind Althior, and William is holding his bow with two hands. Helm is the only one holding a torch and wearing a satchel, though. ...bag of silver nobles...copper common... Someone's been reading Irregular Webcomic! recently. Quote
