Capt.JohnPaul Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 No, you have to upgrade one level at a time. To get to SP: 22 from SP: 5 would require 60+70+80+90+100+110+120+130+140+150+160+170+180+190+200+210+220=2,380 Gold. You currently have enough to upgrade to SP: 8 at a cost of 210 Gold. Oh, right! :wall: No wonder something seemed fishy. Quote
Flipz Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 This is revenge isn't it? Just because De'kra couldn't reply because he was waiting for Byblos to respond doesn't make it right to ignore me when he is standing next to Arthur. Echoes of the past have feelings too you know. Ah, no, it's because I keep getting interrupted every time I go to reply. Quote
Sloop Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 Why is it that wherever I run into you, you always end up being the guy who gets picked on by everyone else? It isn't my fault you always show up right as the bombs start going off. It's because of the girl hair. I thought I was a hippy! This is funny for two reason. One, after allowing my elder brother to cut my hair I have practically none. Two, I know someone who claims to be a hippy, and they are totally bald. Quote
Flipz Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 Darkdragon, if Cinna still wants to get rid of that Shovel, Arthur will take it off your hands for cheap. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 I'd be willing to lend Arthur money, Flipz. I'm set for the next Quest. Quote
Flipz Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 (edited) I'd be willing to lend Arthur money, Flipz. I'm set for the next Quest. That'd be awesome, thanks! Now if Arthur gets lucky and ends up with a Topaz in Dastan, he'll have all of the equipment he'll need until he reaches Sorcerer. Edited April 12, 2012 by Flipz Quote
JimBee Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 Out of sheer boredom I calculated Atramor's Ratsbane elemental effects: 4x Beasts Plants Vermin 2x Electric 1x Flying Ice Fire Everything else Ineffective Rock Mechanic I think this is a rare instance in which it is advantageous to have so many elements in one weapon. Luckily the ineffectiveness against Rock is shared by three of the four gems, so few enemies can stand against Ratsbane. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 Hey CorneliusMurdock, would it be possible for Skrall to obtain that Heavy Crossbow of yours? I haven't figured out how to roleplay the transaction quite yet, but I'd be willing to either buy it after my next quest or trade my WP:10 Hunter's Crossbow for it. I've been looking for a weapon like that for a while as it realistically represents the power behind an Ogre's shot. Quote
Flipz Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 (edited) If he adds a Topaz he'd lose out against Electric enemies (which are semi-rare) but gain additional damage against Aquatic, Flying, and Mechanical enemies, all of which are fairly common foes... EDIT: Oh, and can someone post in the Hall so Arthur can come back in and talk to Docken before he leaves? Edited April 12, 2012 by Flipz Quote
CMP Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 (edited) *Snip* I think this is a rare instance in which it is advantageous to have so many elements in one weapon. Luckily the ineffectiveness against Rock is shared by three of the four gems, so few enemies can stand against Ratsbane. Close, but both the Ruby and Garnet have an advantage against icy monsters, so even with the Opal it deals double damage. I'm a bit upset that I realized the Black Katana had a Garnet instead of an Emerald, but the enchantments on that will have to wait until I get some more gold. Or until I find a more interesting weapon to enchant. I just need to find a rat as soon as possible. With one Critical I can break the damage record at 576. I hope my math is right on that... No, I'm just about done with my enchantments on that weapon, maybe unless I get a hold of a Diamond or Amethyst. Now I just need an entirely different weapon made entirely to destroy rock monsters, which are the bane of Ratsbane. Edited April 12, 2012 by CallMePieOrDie Quote

I've been looking for a weapon like that for a while as it realistically represents the power behind an Ogre's shot. I was planning on selling it anyway. I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to get Cronk to loan it to you, Orc to Orc, until you can pay him for it. I'd hate for Skrall to lose the Hunter's Crossbow since I think it's been a part of his character for so long. Besides, I'm sure there'll be times when you won't want to knock your opponent to the back row so your Hunter's one would probably be a good back up weapon. We can haggle price in character. Quote
Flipz Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 This is gonna sound SO noob-ish, but I really can't decide...should I buy a Shovel and two Tonics, or a Shovel and a Magnifying Glass, or should I try to buy Cinna's shovel at a reduced cost from her and buy a Tonic and a Pickaxe from the Marketplace? None of the above. Buy a Magic Compass. Those things drive QMs crazy. It's funny. (even if you've signed up for my Quest ) Quote

I would say two tonics and a shovel. Statistically speaking, there is generally someone in a party with a pickaxe and sometimes the magnifying glass. These two items generally benefit the entire party and thus it's repetitive if multiple party members have the same item. Shovels on the other hand, have the capacity for benefiting the individual owner, assuming they're not sharing their finds with the rest of the party, who will then invest in shovels of their own. In conclusion, to be a party member everyone will love, try and get the Magnifying glass and the Pickaxe. If gold, glory, and XP is more your taste, go for the shovel and tonics. Now when will that class analysis be up? Quote

Right now, it's just the six basic classes, I need to familiarize myself with the other Classes (especially the ones that have been used in Quests already) to get their analysis written up. Quote
Palathadric Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 Nice quest endings Brickdoctor and Scubbacarrot. I have to admit that your ending, Scubbacarrot was very surprising, but different and...well, rather interesting actually. Quote

I have to admit that your ending, Scubbacarrot was very surprising, but different and...well, rather interesting actually. I agree that Scubacarrot's ending was good, a nice reflection of the way Quest 6 ended. Doc's ending was epic as is normal with his quests. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 I forgot to comment on this: The three tied in quests look great, very interesting to see what the connections between the different quests will be. Are there enough heroes in the hall, to fill all the spots though? Or is any quest close to ending? Quote

Zeph hasn't PMed his list of players signed up for Q30, but comparing JimBee's and my lists, it looks like there should be enough. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 I should have signups soon, but what I don't want is these 3 high profile Quests all on at the same time, leaving no players. Although mine will be pitched at new players, so perhaps there will be a few left afterwards. Quote
Sandy Posted April 12, 2012 Author Posted April 12, 2012 Welcome to the game, zakura! Nice to see another female character joining the ranks, I don't think we've had one since Alisha... Here's a good close-up avatar for you as a joining gift. I should have signups soon, but what I don't want is these 3 high profile Quests all on at the same time, leaving no players. CMP Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 "Maybe it's an arrow pointing towards the exit? If that's the case, we should follow it in the other direction" Eric suggested. Jeez, you'd think anyone could recognize the sign of the Deathly Hallows... Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 Jeez, you'd think anyone could recognize the sign of the Deathly Hallows... I had to Google to find out what that was ( ), but doesn't that have the circle inside a whole triangle, instead of just the one point? Quote

Scubacarrot Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 I honestly thought the Illuminati had found their way to Heroica, Hmmm, more quest ideas... Quote
