Brickdoctor Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 I love riddles! As do I. Much better than anagrams. Sorry, Zeph. Quote
Flipz Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 "Ignorant bliss?" "Honor?" "Selflessness?" "Where are you getting these?" "He said it's something heroes seek but don't have. I'm listing your missing qualities." I'm loving Barty and Boomingham, really great usage of the character. Quote
Tamamono Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 I'll respond here as to not spam up the quest thread with OOC posts. QM Note: I gave too many Items I think... I think you're probably right, but they're not particular useful items (7 bones ) - save for the deadly venom and possibly the skeleton decoys. It was the right amount of loot in proportion to the amount of enemies, but the trap kind of slaughtered them all in one turn, so it seems like more items than it really is. Quote
Bricksandparts Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 I hope 26 finishes soon... I want to get back to the hall, get some stuff at the magic shop, and get on one of the Dastan quests, hoping that they are interlocking. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 It is kind of in poor taste to tell one QM to hurry up so you can go get into another quest, just my opinion. This isn't aimed at you specifically Bricksandparts, but I think I've seen this sentimentality in other quests as well. Quote
Zepher Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 WBD - loving the Lion Rug. As do I. Much better than anagrams. Sorry, Zeph. I was young and naive. My second one had personal written riddles that I personally thought were pretty clever. It is kind of in poor taste to tell one QM to hurry up so you can go get into another quest, just my opinion. This isn't aimed at you specifically Bricksandparts, but I think I've seen this sentimentality in other quests as well. I'm an offender. Sometimes QM's (including my self) need a poke in the ribs to get a move on. Quote

It's a bear but ah well Yes I still crack up thinking about that riddle where I think it was Haldor who goes and jumps off a cliff? Quote

I agree, it is a lot, but we also fought a lot of enemies, and most of the stuff is mainly for the quest. Quote

Yeah, some of us have a knack for really long quests. Quote

Still don't know why he gets selected for quests. Quote

If you are interested in leaving the quest before it is completed I am sure I can arrange that. Quote
The Legonater Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 I was young and naive. My second one had personal written riddles that I personally thought were pretty clever. If by 'second one' you mean Quest 19, I totally agree. I had a lot of fun with those riddles. Quote

I'm sorry, I do see I put it that way. I like the quest, I just have wanted to get into Doc's quests, and it seems that we are almost through the quest. Quote

This isn't aimed at you specifically Bricksandparts, but I think I've seen this sentimentality in other quests as well. I think I am guilty of this early on in Quest 20, though I wasn't trying to get another quest to occur, I just wanted updates. Still, it was rude so I apologize. On the matter of the earlier question of De'kra's fighting style, I always thought of him as always trying to move about in battle. Because he is smaller than most minifigures he would have less strength and weaker stamina (as Quest 4 proved) but would in turn be lighter on his feet. The way I picture him in battle is dodging his opponents' blows, and using the momentum from avoiding blows to deal some hits. Always in motion, because if he stops he is down. Like a fragile speedster. I like to think his vastly different luck in battle in Quest 20 is just because he got better at dodging during the course of Quest 4, which is why he started to improve in the later half of his first quest. Waterbrick Down Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 "..." "Wow. That's one Hell of an enemy!" Taking a stance next to Haldor, Jess prepares for battle. Jess will attack from the front row. Actually taking into account that the entire party can do 220 damage simply by rolling hits in one round, not to mention Nur being Lucky, having 2 cleric and 2 knight base classes, and the chance for a 1/6 assassination, I should imagine it shouldn't be terrible. Hopefully Quote
Zepher Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 (edited) I love challenges. I think it's a perfect enemy. I'm already enjoying the Quest. Mystery, puzzles, strong enemies, beautiful settings... just like the Salamanda Quest, I feel like this is a diverse and colorful Quest. Exactly what I think fantasy should be. Hopefully Yeah, it seems fair to me. Nevertheless, I think you, for now, have the distinction of QM with the enemy with the highest Health. Quote

Flipz Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 For the sake of roleplaying, I hope that Dyric does not go on the same Quest I do when Arthur encounters Wren. He'd end up trying to kill Arthur on sight every time they met in the Hall. I've said this before, but I'll say it again: there are too many awesome characters in Heroica that I want to Quest with! Skrall, Cronk, Atramor...among many others! Let's hope that a few of my top picks get on Quest 31 with Arthur. Quote

I like the quest, I just have wanted to get into Doc's quests, and it seems that we are almost through the quest. You don't know that. If you wanted so bad to have a chance to get into BD's quest, perhaps you should not have signed up for this one. I think Xarrzan is doing an awesome job, both at the speed of his updates, and the quest in general. Quote
Flipz Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 The Party perceives that Balthazar has been stifling for quite some time in the rug and only upon defeating it shall he be released. But hey, bonus points for originality, right? Oh, Doc, you won't mind if I come up with ways to short-circuit all your battles, right? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 But hey, bonus points for originality, right? I was still in Q17 mode there. If that was Q17, I would've allowed it. Oh, Doc, you won't mind if I come up with ways to short-circuit all your battles, right? You mean if you get picked for Q31? Sure; I'm probably going to be allowing quite a bit of freedom. Not on the scale of Q17, but the party will be welcome to try. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Flipz is right, I actually should have covered more of my bases. Thus for insightful game play on the part of Brick Doctor, the problem has been rectified albeit slightly. Quote

Thus for insightful game play on the part of Brick Doctor, the problem has been rectified albeit slightly. Awesome. I'm seeing an unusual item (artifact?) in the listed loot and a winnable battle, though, so I think the other players would probably prefer that we just do this the traditional way. Quote
