Waterbrick Down Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 OOC: This might be better suited for Rules and Discussion, but...if Skrall were to use his Heavy Crossbow on an undead creature, I know it wouldn't deal any damage, but would it still knock the creature to the Back Row? I think this might have come up with whether a poisoned unelemental weapon still poisons undead. If this is the case with the statuses then I would assume it should apply to the knock back, but I leave it up to Brick Doctor. Quote
Palathadric Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Does the bedroll restore full health and ether after the battle? Or is it for taking a break during the battle? Also the arm-mounted shield I have can be upgraded right, or is it a special Draugr shield that cannot be tampered with? Something else I'd like to ask: If I have the Scroll of Confusion I have a 50/50 chance of confusing someone. If they are confused, do they still have a 50/50 chance of attacking one of their own players, therefore giving only a 25% chance of being effective? One other thing is, what is the benefit of having a healing staff, does it enable me to heal people better or to heal without using ether, or what? I guess the Nimbus Broomstick is a ranged weapon, right? Quote

Bedrolls can only be used out of combat to rest, to restore health AND ether, but can only be used at a QM's discretion, for example, don't expect to be able to use one in the middle of a battlefield, between waves or something. 2. It is an artifact, they can NOT be upgraded. 3. That is correct. But it lasts 3 turns, so in reality the chances of it being succesful is slightly higher. 4. It makes you able to heal people without ether, yes. It is also capable of damaging undead. 5. Yes, which means that it will attack at full power from the back row. Hope this helps Quote

Hope this helps Thank you so much, Scubbacarrot. But pretty much, I wouldn't really need tonics if I have the bedroll, right? Besides 1 or 2 maybe in case I need to take one during a battle. Would you advise me getting the Healing Staff or the Nimbus Broomstick? Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 I would advise getting the Nimbus broomstick, as it is a ranged weapon. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 I am by no means an expert, but a bedroll is indeed a very handy thing to have, but tonics are still useful, for example, Several quests so far have been something like a chain of battles, with very little time in between. QM's would not allow you to use the bedroll, in that scenario, so tonics are still useful. And obviously, if you run out in battle, they are good to have. On the second matter, I don't know, really. I see the nimbus broomstick as a very situational weapon, only useful when a single hit from the front row would kill you. Of course, it would also be good in the Arena, against other players, since you are able to attack at full power from the back. The healing staff is basically only good for support, since it heals what it hits, (of course it hurts the undead). So if you choose that, you still want to have another weapon to be able to go offensive. Quote

Palathadric Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Being a Level 5 Cleric and having a (WP:5) weapon makes my power 9 or 10? Quote
Palathadric Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 We are on. I think my stats are good, right? Quote
LEGOman273 Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 10 would be your power. I can't find anything that says how to calculate Power. How do I? Quote
Pandora Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 I can't find anything that says how to calculate Power. How do I? For future reference, all the information for calculating these stats is contained in the very first post of this topic (notably the second picture in the first post). I find myself referring to this when I level up to ensure my stats are correct. Speaking of which, I'd just like to point out to Zeph and Sandy that I finished Scuba's quest at level 17 not 16, as has been posted in the 'Closed Quests - Quest #30' section of the hall. Quote
Zepher Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Oops, it seems I forgot how to format the titles of the threads... if a staffer can/feels like fixing that, I'd be thankful! Updates will remain spotty until Sunday afternoon. Quote

Brickdoctor Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 QM Note: Welcome, please check your stats. Posades, could you please explain what the horse does, as well as the Robe of the Pongcanis Champion? Does it add WP/SP depending on your row? The Robe of the Pongcanis Champion increases his WP by 1 if he attacks from the Front Row and increases his SP by 1 if he attacks from the Back Row. Quote
