Flipz Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 (edited) I've got my own line-up as well. If Arasmyth dies, I'll start playing as a female dwarf cleric, if she dies, I'll play a male Dragonborn knight, if he dies, a Rockling rogue, if she dies, a Sharkling ranger, if he dies, a Orc herbomancer, if she dies, a naga cleric, the list goes on and on and on. And if all of them die you'll hunt down all of the QMs who are obviously conpiring against you Ignore this, blame Waterbrick Down, he knows the character I'm channeling here. Hey, Doc, any chance Thrawn Thraune will talk to Arthur or does he have a magical lizard that automatically Seals all mages and clerics in the area? EDIT: Have I mentioned it's hard for me not to get to see Pie and Tanma roleplaying? Really, really hard? Edited April 23, 2012 by Flipz Quote
Zepher Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Just think about all the marvelous stories you'll get to catch up on when this is all said and done! Since I never weighed in, I think it's a super interesting challenge, and I would certainly join in if I was a player! Quote

That actually might be fun, though I'd miss Skrall. He's eventually going to leave, but I want to finish his character arc first. Quote
CMP Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 (edited) We should form a group of six to kill off our characters at some point and have a balanced team to start at level 1. One level 1 amongst a hall full of heroes level 20 or so...it'd be difficult to get into a quest. Edited April 23, 2012 by CallMePieOrDie Quote

LEGOman273 Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Good point. Additionally, new people join Heroica frequently, so there are always going to be Level: 1's. Quote

It's slowed down a bit as of late, I'm hoping that around the 1 year aniversary we'll get another front page feature that will bring in another wave of players, but I'm happy that we have this many people involved already. Tachyon Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 You know how Nur has loaded dice which gives a permanent lucky effect, has anyone thought of or made an artifact which gives the permanent encouraged or blessed effect? Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 You know how Nur has loaded dice which gives a permanent lucky effect, has anyone thought of or made an artifact which gives the permanent encouraged or blessed effect? Masked Builder's Alexis has a quiver which imparts a permanent hastened effect, likewise with William Harkenshires repeating crossbow. I'm sure the items have been considered, the QM's just don't want too many of them floating around as they could easily upset the balance of the game. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Both my Quests will have been aimed at lower-level heroes. This solves two problems, it gets a group of newbies together in one place to learn the ropes, and it means I don't have to worry about the Advanced classes! Quote

Please read the rules again with thought, if you really want to play. Quote
LEGOman273 Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Nur has loaded dice which gives a permanent lucky effect. Where can I find loaded dice? I've checked the marketplace; nothing there. As they are Artifacts, can they only be found on Quests? Quote

You don't need a loaded die. Hybros has been achieving the same effect by consuming a Nostrum before every fight all quest long in #26. I'm actually going to take a page from his book and start buying more consumables. Quote

It's really quite smart, especially since he is a rogue, he gets gold on the best roll, and with the hit, there is a high chance he instantly gets more gold than the consumable costs. Quote
