Flipz Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 And what would the -mancy for tampering with dimensional gateways and portals to other Planes be? Planeomancy? Spacetimeomancy? Arthur'sfamilymancy? Although "Familiomancy" actually sounds pretty good...but whay would that represent? Some sort of magical adoption spell? Quote
Scubacarrot Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 All this talk about weird -mancer things, reminds me of the game dungeons of dredmor... Just take a look at the skill list: http://www.dredmorwiki.com/wiki/Skills Quote
LEGOman273 Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 @Flare: If you want to sell the Jo-No Tree Seed, I'll buy it for 50 Gold. (I doing so, I will owe you 48 Gold, but I'll pay you back as soon as I get a Mug or two on my next Quest.) Quote
Flipz Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Drake clearly heard what everyone was saying. "Look, I was pretty good at fighting then. They thought that they should hire me so if some thief tried to get in, I would beat them until I saw some blood. Unfortunately, I was guarding the castle one day, when a goblin disguised as the king came riding on a horse. He asked to come in and I let him in, thinking he was the king. Unfortunately, I found out he was a goblin, and destruction followed. The disguised goblin revealed that he was the king, but he was the king of goblins. So, there I was, angry. I was angry because that idiot made me fail my duty. I ran after the goblin, hoping to kill him, when suddenly the king appeared. The goblin king stabbed the king and got his army to wipe out the other people in the castle....and the castle itself. Nobody made it out alive...except me." Drake said, sadly. Seriously? Did you even READ the first post in the library, or, you know, the backstory for Heroica listed in the rules??? Quote
Sandy Posted April 24, 2012 Author Posted April 24, 2012 Seriously? Did you even READ the first post in the library, or, you know, the backstory for Heroica listed in the rules??? It's alright, having everyone else know the truth about the matter makes Drake's lie for a story that much more pathetic. He really is a sad figure... (perhaps unintentionally?) Quote

Speaking of which, if you could hang out for five minutes, that'd be awesome, I have part of it ready to show you. Quote

I can guarantee it won't overlap, here, this is something different. Brickdoctor Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Random question of the [undefined time period]: If you could somehow meet your Heroica character in the real world, would the two of you get along? Yes, if only because both of us don't talk much (in real life in my case, that is). We'd probably just sit around doing our own thing and interjecting a couple comments here and there. Quote

I love your random questions, like how I love Tanma's speeches. Probably. Haldor would get on with most people unless he seriously disagreed with something they did or how they dealt with things. I'd scream. Then, we'd watch all the 'Planet of the Apes' films. Then Thothwick would understand my aforementioned terror. Quote

Tanma Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 I think me and De'kra would get along, I already have a one-sided friendship with him outside of Heroica. Quit ignoring me! Fight, talk, do something! Why do you keep laying there! Why won't you talk to me! Why... Aside from that the main obstacle would be my inability to separate myself from the characters I play. There is a point where I forget where I begin and De'kra ends, and it is hard to be friends with yourself. (and kind of sad) But most of the time I recognize the boundry between what humans call reality and fiction. And other times I get depressed when characters insult De'kra and have to wait to calm down before I can reply. But at least that helps me figure out how De'kra should react at points when our behaviors are parallel. It gets really bad when I keep dying in games. I still get Legend of Zelda flashbacks, and I still am slightly scared of segmented arthropods. Help me Medli...Quill...Tetra...anyone... ...Yeah I was dying repeatively in the first dungeon, De'kra's luck in Quest 4 is actually realistic for me. Quote

Dannylonglegs Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 I think that he would mostly ignore me if I met Sylph in the real world. He might try to convince me to join a cult of dark druids, but I'm not involved in the same circles as those who might fall into such an organization. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 I guess Skrall and I might get along, I'm not sure what we'd talk about really though. I've written Skrall as someone who I would hope I don't become in the next 25 years, so I guess our conversations would be more of me listening to his reflections on life. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 OOC: Because Rouge, as listed for your character, is a colour, not a job class. And both palathadric and Sandy seem to think Monk Pretzel is level 5, in his signature and the list of heroes. Every time someone misspells 'rogue' as 'rouge', I can't help but think of Werewolf Mafia. Quote

JimBee Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Random question of the [undefined time period]: If you could somehow meet your Heroica character in the real world, would the two of you get along? No. I would probably find him annoying after a while, even without considering the fact that he's an imp dressed like a kid going Trick-or-Treating. Also his lack of dialogue. Quote

Of course! No character could get closer to my personality than Alexandre. (Sorry, not much of a Star Wars fan) Yeah, Mon Calamari. (the name "Teuthisal", by the way, is a combination of the words "teuthida", the order of which squid are a part, and "salata", a Vulgar Latin word from which the word "salad" is derived - Phil Tippet named the Mon Calamari species after the calamari salad he was eating)(you can see him, right? I tried to make him fairly easy to find) Quote

Also I just wanted to say that as it concerns the rebel "I shoot it." Edited April 25, 2012 by Waterbrick Down Quote
