Yeah, Mon Calamari. (the name "Teuthisal", by the way, is a combination of the words "teuthida", the order of which squid are a part, and "salata", a Vulgar Latin word from which the word "salad" is derived - Phil Tippet named the Mon Calamari species after the calamari salad he was eating)

(you can see him, right? I tried to make him fairly easy to find)

I was debating whether to use the crossbow or the cannon and you picked what I would have done. But now I have realised the downside of having a long screenname. Noone can spell it right.

WBD, sorry, I just don't buy that that was a complete surprise. I saw it coming, and I wasn't even thinking about Hans.

Then again, I'm addicted to TVTropes, so I'm crazy Genre Savvy, though admittedly Wrong Genre Savvy at times. :tongue:

Also, Doc, this is why I love your loot: because it always has some kind of special property to it. Because of that, and because of how you make your enemies, it's always a super fun game of fiddling about with the arcane micro-aspects of the battle system to do cool things like render the strongest enemy unable to KO a character. :wink::thumbup:

It gets really bad when I keep dying in games. I still get Legend of Zelda flashbacks, and I still am slightly scared of segmented arthropods. Help me Medli...Quill...Tetra...anyone...

...Yeah I was dying repeatively in the first dungeon, De'kra's luck in Quest 4 is actually realistic for me.

The first time I encountered the aforementioned, I was 9... I nearly soiled myself when the screen panned up to reveal a glowing eye staring me down from the ceiling...

But it wasn't til I reapproached the game a few years later that I overcame my fear of the ReDeads. *That* said, I think I need to figure out an encounter (or perhaps, recurring enemy) that features the ability to stun a target whilst sapping life from them, all following a blood curdling screech... (dibs on that, btw). In case *anyone* was curious, yeah, I've still got a quest or two in the works on paper, but I don't want to commit to them until I have both the time and resources to properly host them (read: at the very least, get my lego collection up to AK from MD).

"Thormanil" as a recurring entity has always been a bold, somewhat reckless person. Usually incarnated as an older character (I just have an affinity for gray/white haired characters in games), in most medieval/fantasy MMO's, I find myself associating the name with a Dwarf, usually wielding two hand-axes, heh. Some might have a problem with reusing a character concept, but I enjoy experiencing Thormanil's adventures in varying contexts, ages, universes, and styles. He's my own personal Link, always becoming the same sort of person (when I RP him, at least), though his tools and means may vary.

He sort of embodies a set of character traits that I wish I could add to my own pool of qualities: a boldness, confidence, and willingness to both speak his mind and act on his gut instincts despite the opinions of his peers. I know for a fact that the anonymity of the internet enables me to step into his shoes, stepping into a leadership role that I would otherwise shy away from. I know that I haven't exactly displayed that yet here (aside from saying that his attitude is such while OOC), but I'm sure this Thormanil will come into his own in good time.

If I were to meet Thormanil, I'm pretty sure I'd make him teach me his secrets to a perfectly-toned core. What can I say, I'm shallow. I've always been on the scrawny side, and couldn't even achieve a build like his when I was wrestling :laugh_hard: .

Yeah I eventually freaked out so much I just stopped playing it for about five years. Then I found Twilight Princess, which for some reason was much easier (I blame the fact that I actually knew how to use fairies then) and now TP is one of the five real video games I have beaten. (I sure have mad skills) After that I resumed Windwaker.

It was a last minute thing, so he didn't really have time to give a warning... Actually, I might recall him telling me to alert you guys and say to have Scubacarrot control his actions until he got back... :blush: Sorry about that, I totally forgot.

I don't see any reason it shouldn't. Summoned creatures are party members too, I'd think.

It can always be justified or explained to make sense (as much as something can in a fantasy RPG) by saying that the summon derives its power from the magic user, and the magic user is Encouraged, so...

I would have to qualify this to say that the effect only would work on the summon if it was summoned before the War Cry was made.

OOC: If by some miracle I get a Magic Burst, I'd like it to be Darkness elemental. Also, WBD, I'd like to act first just in case that happens. :wink:

Mages can't choose which element they use in a Magic Burst, it's random.

I agree with darkdragon on this issue. The summoned spirits can be encouraged (and hastened) but in the War Cry's case they must already be summoned for it to take effect.

I'm sure this has been answered before, but what piece was used for Wren's face in her first two appearances? What about for her current one? (I have no idea if it's the same face and/or appearance, I'm avoiding the other two Dastan Quests like the plage. With great difficulty, mid you, but I've been successful so far! :tongue: )
