Flipz Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 The gloves, quiver, and statuettes are all considered artifacts. And I haven't gotten around to updating the Treasury because I keep screwing up and losing like 2 hours of work. Any way I could help? Quote

Maybe it is an idea to have the QM's send you item lists, in similair fashion as Zepher does it? Quote
CMP Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Any way I could help? Not really. I've got free time now, may as well take a crack at updating it with Quest 14's stuff. Again. If you have any suggestions for how I'm organizing stuff, though, shoot. I'm not sure if it's even worth the effort of recording non-interactable quest items. Maybe it is an idea to have the QM's send you item lists, in similair fashion as Zepher does it? Maybe, but all the quests up to this point I still have to go back and record. If the QMs want, it would help, but it's not really necessary. Quote

One thing I might list would be how many of a given artifact exist, if you know it offhand. (I.E. there are only three each of the Scrolls of Frailty and Weakness at this time, only one Scroll of Luck, only two Lucky Dice, etc.) It would also be a good idea to list similar consumables under sub-sections; i.e. have a subsection for health-restoring items, a subsection for Ether-restoring items, a subsection for the Orc consumables, etc., just for the sake of your own sanity. Nearly every artifact there's only one of, but (Insert Spoiler of Quest 30 here) has cropped up again, so I guess it's worth doing, and I do like the consumable thing. Quote

Ooh, EXCELLENT suggestion, it would also tell other QMs who to contact about an artifact's special properties! (I.E. if a QM had a question about Isabella's cloak, they could look in the Treasury and see that it was from a Quest of Doc's, and so they could know to PM Doc about it.) Quote
Bricksandparts Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Is it just a coincidence that Rumblestrike chose Sorrow, also the name of the main NPC in his last quest, 13? Quote
Rumble Strike Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Technically my Sorrow's real name is Sorona, but yes, it's a complete coincidence! Quote
CMP Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 (edited) Is it just a coincidence that Rumblestrike chose Sorrow, also the name of the main NPC in his last quest, 13? Yes. He chose all level 1s who signed up. Zepher, I really hope am pretty sure that's not how Magic Burst works. The wording is causes damage to all opponents, not the target. Bricksandparts Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Chase XX! I want to see my Fire amy! Quote
Jebediahs Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Scroll of Luck - Grants target the lucky-effect for one battle. Costs 10 ether. That's a good amount for ether cost. Will keep players from spamming it and using it on every player in every battle. Quote

Endgame Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 I saw Rumble's Sorrow a few months after I signed up. Whoops! But hey, Sorrow's real name is... Sorrow. Well, after he was reanimated at least... Quote

But if he lives down there forever he can consider himself having taken one for the team...or whatever. Wow! I finally managed to catch up and keep myself updated with the latest happenings in the current quests. Is Quest #26 over? Quote
CMP Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Xarrzan, can I assume the Quiver of Poisoning is only suitable for rangers? Quote
Xarrzan Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 Xarrzan, can I assume the Quiver of Poisoning is only suitable for rangers? The Gloves of counterstriking were meant to have an "(artifact)" label on them, I will be adding that to my last post. The Quiver of Poisoning is only suitable for rangers and those who can use a bow or crossbow. I can send you a list of the loot, it will be after the quest though. Quote
CMP Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 I've got all of the other stuff listed, I just wanted to clarify that. Thanks, though. I usually wait until the end of a quest to record stuff too, but if you have another fight after the third boss battle, you're a very unorthodox QM. Quote
Flipz Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 if you have another fight after the third boss battle, you're a very unorthodox QM. That's a nice way to express that thought! In all seriousness, though, Xarrzan, you've done a great job, I've really enjoyed watching this one come along. Quote

In all seriousness, though, Xarrzan, you've done a great job, I've really enjoyed watching this one come along. I too have enjoyed the quest, at first I was a little pessimistic because of the photos, and at parts I was a bit confused about the battle, but I guess I do that in my quests too. In the end (I think this is the end) it pulled out to be a good quest. Quote
JimBee Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 I love how Maurice hoarded the loot for himself. It shows that even the holiest of holy, like Etzel's character, can have a darker side to them. EDIT: And also, Quest #32 looks promising. Nice MOCs, RumbleStrike. The plot seems very eerie so far. Quote
