Flipz Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Rogue is such a good class. You get good gold at nearly every battle. But I am sticking with Mystic Knight. It's a good class IF you have the patience to set it up. At low levels, you're low-to-mid range in terms of damage (especially before you can upgrade and imbue your weapon(s)), and mid-range in terms of survivability. Once you've upgraded and imbued your weapons and started investing in Nostrum, the gold starts to roll in. Hybros is so rich and strong because he patiently worked for it. If I ever decided to get rid of Arthur, I'd make a Rogue. Unfortunately for me, my most Rogue-like face that no one else is using is...well...Arthur's, so I'll just multiclass to Rogue at Level 15 and keep him forever. What time is it? Adventure TimeRandom Question Time! If you could pick one Advanced Class to play that your character DOESN'T have access to, what would it be? * By "multiclass to Rogue" I, of course, mean I'll pick Sorcerer, which is a combination of Mage and Rogue. Just in case anyone was confused. Quote
CMP Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Honestly? The Rogue advanced classes are just too badass. Assassin, Black Knight, and Sorcerer all the way. If I ever changed classes, I'd go Knight, but would still probably end up as a Black Knight. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 What time is it? Adventure TimeRandom Question Time! If you could pick one Advanced Class to play that your character DOESN'T have access to, what would it be? That's a tough one. My second favorite Advanced Class is Druid, and it's accessible to me......probably either Paladin or Sage. The former is tanking at its best, and the latter is a very nice balance of offensive and healing power. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 What time is it? Adventure TimeRandom Question Time! If you could pick one Advanced Class to play that your character DOESN'T have access to, what would it be? I would like to try Black Knight at some point, as it really incoporates the role-playing aspect of the class into it combat techniques. Quote
posades Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Weeelllll if Xander had stuck to the plan he'd still be conscious so it's not De'kra's fault. There was a plan? Quote
RPGer Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Witch. I just love it, but I loved Mages and Sages more. And I'd start with rogue too. Quote
Masked Builder Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 What time is it? Adventure TimeRandom Question Time! If you could pick one Advanced Class to play that your character DOESN'T have access to, what would it be? Well I like assassin but I could be that class....but I;d probably go sorcerer. (Yeah I can't get away from mages.) Quote
Sandy Posted May 2, 2012 Author Posted May 2, 2012 BREAKING NEWS ABOUT JOB CLASSES! I have decided that there will be seven expert job classes open to players over Level 30, and each of them is tied to a main faction. To gain access to a certain faction's expert job class, you need to have a great reputation with a faction, having completed at least two quests for the house in power. Furthermore, accomplished Quest Masters are also welcome to pitch their own expert job class that is tied to a faction presented in their own quests (for example the Lion Knights, the Brobric Elves or the Wren Hunters). The tentative job classes tied with the main houses of power are: Minstrel (The Hinckwells) Dragoon (The Shadeaux) Necromancer (The Ziegfrieds) Cannoneer (The Bonapartes) Alchemist (The Guild of Invision) Chi Monk (The Ji Pei) Beast Warrior (The Wolfgang) Adding to that, players that reach Level 50 can opt to choose one of three master job classes that combine the talents of the basic job classes. The master job classes are: Mime (open to everyone) Paragon (open to original barbarians, knights and rogues) Prophet (open to original clerics, mages and rangers) Further details of these are provided once their skillsets are finalized. Flipz Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 (edited) Welp, looks like I need to play some Zeigfried Quests! It also seems that if I succeed with this Quest, I'll be qualified for Minstrel AND any potential Lion Knight class Doc makes up once I hit 30. What's a "Dragoon", though? I only know of the Dragoon ship...thingy...from Kirby, and I only know its Super Smasho Bros Brawl version... EDIT: Ha ha ha ha, how long has my sig been changed? Nice one, whoever did it. Scubacarrot Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 (edited) This... Looks... Great... Hmmm, back to the drawing board, must design an expert job class for the town guard.. Would be difficult, I feel... Edited May 2, 2012 by Scubacarrot Quote
Tanma Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Must...become...Chi Monk... I am rather excited about this, though I will need to validate De'kra's shift from Assassin to Chi Monk. Odds are that I will rank up enough to become an Assassin on this quest, so I will have to start planning now. Which reminds me, I need to get a camera so that I can show off De'kra's new form. I found the perfect body for it, though the legs could use some work. Quote

Dragoons are basically armoured cavalry, in Fantasy they are often knights in heavy armour with huge weapons. Quote

Same goes for you, Sisco, I really want to build Haldor and Jess, but I can't do that if I don't know what parts/sets I need to pick up next shopping trip/BrickLink order. Quote
Tanma Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 I have a 1000 posts. ...in other news I am not exactly sure how to search for his new design in this "Bricklinks" you speak of. I know what the parts look like and I can find figures with them, but I am thus far unaware of how to get results of individual body parts. Quote
Sandy Posted May 2, 2012 Author Posted May 2, 2012 Dragoon Prophet, here I come! You can still play only one job class at a time. The expert job classes are quite a bit of deviation from the basic and advanced classes, since they're all unique, so some people might choose to skip them altogether. Quote

Which minifigs have the parts you'll be using, then? Quote
Sandy Posted May 2, 2012 Author Posted May 2, 2012 What's a "Dragoon", though? I only know of the Dragoon ship...thingy...from Kirby, and I only know its Super Smasho Bros Brawl version... In the Final Fantasy videogame series Dragoon is another name for a Dragon Knight. That's what I'm going after with Heroica as well. Quote
Sandy Posted May 2, 2012 Author Posted May 2, 2012 What's Paragon supposed to be ? The job class in this game is a combination of barbarian, knight and rogue. I toyed with names like "Champion", "Warlord" and "Warhero", but ultimately decided that "Paragon" was ambiguous enough as well as going well together with Prophet. If you were talking about the meaning of the word, then Google is your friend. Quote
Etzel Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Oh, interesting! I place dibs on making an expert class for the Paladin Order, probably a priest or something similar. Quote
Sandy Posted May 2, 2012 Author Posted May 2, 2012 I place dibs on making an expert class for the Paladin Order, probably a priest or something similar. Not "Super Paladin", then? Just to clarify, the expert job classes created by other QMs don't have to be tied with the reputation system. You can give them out as a quest reward, for example. They still need to be approved by me prior to that, and the Level 30 rule must apply to them as well. Quote
