Etzel Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Not "Super Paladin", then? Maybe "priest" is just a code name for that. In my mind I've thought of the Paladins as the fighting force of the Order, so opening up the possibility to advance on the more sacral path too could be interesting. I'll get back with a more detailed pitch. Quote
Khorne Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Nice list with interesting names. 'Necromancer' seems a bit dark/evil for the Ziegfrieds (as I know them now), I wonder what dark secrets you have in store for them in the future. Are these classes mixtures of previous classes or just something completely different and standalone? Quote
Tachyon Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 The job class in this game is a combination of barbarian, knight and rogue. I toyed with names like "Champion", "Warlord" and "Warhero", but ultimately decided that "Paragon" was ambiguous enough as well as going well together with Prophet. If you were talking about the meaning of the word, then Google is your friend. Wikipedia told me you got Paragon from Guild Wars Nightfall. Quote
Masked Builder Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Wow! I can't wait until we find out more about these. Must become beast master. (If that wasn't apparent. ) Oh Sandy, any idea as to when some quests (Wolfganag would be nice!) will be up? It's getting a bit boring in the hall... Quote
Scorpiox Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 (edited) It's a good class IF you have the patience to set it up. At low levels, you're low-to-mid range in terms of damage (especially before you can upgrade and imbue your weapon(s)), and mid-range in terms of survivability. Once you've upgraded and imbued your weapons and started investing in Nostrum, the gold starts to roll in. Hybros is so rich and strong because he patiently worked for it. If I ever decided to get rid of Arthur, I'd make a Rogue. Unfortunately for me, my most Rogue-like face that no one else is using is...well...Arthur's, so I'll just multiclass to Rogue at Level 15 and keep him forever. What time is it? Adventure TimeRandom Question Time! If you could pick one Advanced Class to play that your character DOESN'T have access to, what would it be? * By "multiclass to Rogue" I, of course, mean I'll pick Sorcerer, which is a combination of Mage and Rogue. Just in case anyone was confused. Definatly Sorcerer. Anything that Jeb is must be awesome. And the gold. Welp, looks like I need to play some Zeigfried Quests! It also seems that if I succeed with this Quest, I'll be qualified for Minstrel AND any potential Lion Knight class Doc makes up once I hit 30. What's a "Dragoon", though? I only know of the Dragoon ship...thingy...from Kirby, and I only know its Super Smasho Bros Brawl version... EDIT: Ha ha ha ha, how long has my sig been changed? Nice one, whoever did it. [historynerd]Dragoon was a English Civil War type of cavalry. They rode on horseback, but dismounted to use muskets and short-swords. They were primarily used to flank enemy positions and assualt from behind. They would wear leather coats and steel breastplates and morion helmets.[/historynerd] Thats the actual meaning of 'Dragoon', but as others have said, the fantasy version is massively different. BrickLink links, please? Same goes for you, Sisco, I really want to build Haldor and Jess, but I can't do that if I don't know what parts/sets I need to pick up next shopping trip/BrickLink order. Haldor is just: Hair: Orange Mutt Williams hair Head: I'm sure you have it, just a Vikings one. Torso: Any chainmail torso Legs: The CMF Viking legs, or any tan ones Extra: The Indiana Jones bag I'm going to change Haldor's costume soon, shirtless only works for a while. -------------------------- The advanced classes seem really good, maybe I'll have to get myself some reputations... Tanma Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Congrats on Count-hood! Which minifigs have the parts you'll be using, then? Upper torso of a Space Police III officer, head of a Jawa, brown cape and hood of a Jedi, short brown legs, black colored hands, one of those silver Ninjago "dagger-tridents" in his right hand, and a small downward facing gray knife in his left hand. Jedi master Brick Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Awesome expert classes. I realy can't wait to get there but it might be a while Dragoons are acctually soldiers that ride on horseback but fight on foot. They are normmaly used for ambushes (see battle of Naesby) Quote
Scubacarrot Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Done, designed it, no numbers yet, would have to see the other expert classes to do that, here is a blurry picture in the same style as Sandy's: Quote
Kadabra Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Those are town guards? They look more like ninja. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Swashbucklers? Yes I agree, I know it will be awhile before we see the stats but I want to make sure any ideas I have don't overlap with an existing class first. Quote
CMP Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Those are town guards? They look more like ninja. Hey, we don't have a ninja class yet. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 I have decided that there will be seven expert job classes open to players over Level 30, and each of them is tied to a main faction. To gain access to a certain faction's expert job class, you need to have a great reputation with a faction, having completed at least two quests for the house in power. Furthermore, accomplished Quest Masters are also welcome to pitch their own expert job class that is tied to a faction presented in their own quests (for example the Lion Knights, the Brobric Elves or the Wren Hunters). Adding to that, players that reach Level 50 can opt to choose one of three master job classes that combine the talents of the basic job classes. The master job classes are: Awesome. Minstrel and Dragoon probably fit my character best, but I'll see what the stats are before making a decision. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 I was thinking along the lines of: Infiltrators. Quote
Tanma Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Shouldn't Xander be able to attack in this turn, since he was revived and all? I have noticed that occuring in other quests. Quote
Sandy Posted May 2, 2012 Author Posted May 2, 2012 Oh Sandy, any idea as to when some quests (Wolfganag would be nice!) will be up? It's getting a bit boring in the hall... I'll have my two quests up later this week, most probably. Quote
Flipz Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 I'll have my two quests up later this week, most probably. Please not Loren and Nuitan, please not Loren and Nuitan, please not Loren and Nuitan, please not Loren and Nuitan... :puppydog: Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Please not Loren and Nuitan, please not Loren and Nuitan, please not Loren and Nuitan, please not Loren and Nuitan... :puppydog: If Arthur has a mental breakdown midquest Sandy, I'm blaming it on you. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Leo Aragon walks into the hall. He tosses his Garnet and sword to Daxus, His Ruby and Topaz and shield to Benji and his Emerald to Monk Pretzel. It is time to leave the hall. I cannot progress any further here. Farewell. If you are going to make a new character, I don't think it is fair to give others your stuff, to be honest, it gives certain players a very strong unfair advantage Quote
Brickdoctor Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 If you are going to make a new character, I don't think it is fair to give others your stuff, to be honest, it gives certain players a very strong unfair advantage I agree, especially when you're giving out gems, but, unfortunately, I don't think there's a rule against it. Tanma Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 (edited) If Arthur has a mental breakdown midquest Sandy, I'm blaming it on you. So he was sane while he ate and tortured that NPC? I have got to learn more about the culture of Arthur's Homeland, they sound like a very interesting nation if they do that while rational. I probably don't have all the facts since I still can't look at that quest. When will we crossover? Edit: I just realized that Scubacarrot's avatar is a carrot wearing air tanks, A.K.A. a Scuba Carrot. I get +5 basic observation skills. Edited May 2, 2012 by Tanma Quote
Scubacarrot Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 I agree, especially when you're giving out gems, but, unfortunately, I don't think there's a rule against it. There is already a rule that if you make a new character, everything from your old one is gone, this is bypassing it, I feel... Quote

It is time to leave the hall. I cannot progress any further here. Farewell. I'm sad to see you leave so abruptly, so please don't do anything you'll regret later. Anyway, you cannot give your items to other players if you're really leaving the game. Everything your character owns will be lost along with him. This rule was imposed to prevent people from transferring the stuff on their old character to a new character. You should know this, since Leo is your second character... Quote
