Flipz Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Hmm.. I think the Beast may be predetermined... Just saying. Yeah, they are, after all, a Wolf-gang. Heh heh... Quote
Darkdragon Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 To get feedback and criticism. As you saw, my idea was ridiculously complex and OP, so by posting it here and getting an outside opinion, I can start working to make it better. Thought of another question in relation to this - wouldn't the discussion/advice/WIP be better served in the QM Lounge where it doesn't bother the non-QM folks (and by bother I only mean load up the thread with things that other player-only folks probably shouldn't really be advising on)? Sandy Posted May 3, 2012 Author Posted May 3, 2012 Yeah, they are, after all, a Wolf-gang. Don't make assumptions about something you know nothing about... Quote
posades Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Don't make assumptions about something you know nothing about... Transformation to a ninja turtle confirmed. Quote
Bricksandparts Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 I figured you would have said something but it's ok. I know, I'm just that nice of a QM! Quote
Rumble Strike Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Just a quick question! If an enemy has not been specifically targetted in the battle order, but has been hit by an attack that has damaged them, do they still get a free hit? Quote
Flipz Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Just a quick question! Yes, they do get a free hit, they have to be targetted to prevent Free Hits. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Cheers Flipz, I thought that was the case - it is worded that way at the bottom of every fight, but just wanted to make sure! Quote
CMP Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Yes, they do get a free hit, they have to be targetted to prevent Free Hits. But on the other hand, even if you don't do damage, as long as you target them they don't get a free hit. Quote
Sandy Posted May 4, 2012 Author Posted May 4, 2012 Just a quick question! If an enemy has not been specifically targetted in the battle order, but has been hit by an attack that has damaged them, do they still get a free hit? Yes, they do get a free hit, they have to be targetted to prevent Free Hits. Exactly. It's because targetted enemies are sort of "locked in a duel" with the hero, while the enemies that are not targetted are free to attack anyone they want - even if they suffer from area-of-effect damage. CMP Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 "Artifacts? I'm always interested in those. Very well, Master Hinckwell." What about the Dread Hat...? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 What about the Dread Hat...? I can always swap them out. The Marksman's Hats are only useful against certain enemies, anyways, and if I'm trying to insta-kill an enemy, chances are that the Dread Hat isn't effective. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 That's hilarious. Jeb is pitted against a Maa'ri, and I'm facing a Mopag. What have we created? Quote
Zepher Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 Didn't even notice, so cool WBD! Now I feel obligated to enter and see who my opponent would be. Unless this is random and mine won't tie into my quests. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 It was semi-random, though I knew I wanted to match a few archers with specific characters. I'll post the pictures of all the archers once everyone has decided whether or not to enter the competition. Quote
Zepher Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 NPC Index updated once more! Go give it a quick spin. QM's, I'm still missing NPCs from Quest 5 and the end of Quest 17. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 Right, I'll try to get mine in in the next couple of days. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 Could we not trigger Special damage for just one round, please? Tarn will end up looking like Sorrow at this rate! I'm definitely thinking Bezerker now to get a shield. Quote
Palathadric Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 Rogue is such a good class. You get good gold at nearly every battle. But I am sticking with Mystic Knight. Evidenly didn't stick by this for long, eh? Quote
Darth Nihilus Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 3 out of 5 party members in Quest #32 are hearing/seeing people that aren't there. Poor Rumble Strike-he always QM's the wierd ones. Including me. Quote

Rumble Strike Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 I don't mind a bit of characterisation and roleplaying as long as it doesn't interrupt the flow of the story for everyone else. As a QM I have had no issues with anything my players have done in either Quest. Quote
Darth Nihilus Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 ESPECIALLY you, Who else in Quest 13 had a character with mental issues? You. I mean seriously, what kind of man would insult everyone, everywhere, that he meets? Obviously Guts has, ahem, issues. Like me? Yes, like you. Especially you. I don't mind a bit of characterisation and roleplaying as long as it doesn't interrupt the flow of the story for everyone else. As a QM I have had no issues with anything my players have done in either Quest. Not even when I tried to cast a massive illusion by manipulating minds? Quote

Character development makes the quest interesting, and I don't mind as long as the quest keeps moving at a decent pace. And I'm the QM who had the character who died and lost his memory for multiple pages of roleplaying.
