To members of Quest #29: How are you feeling about the pace? I know I update more than once a day, but I don't want to advance the quest too quickly. For situations like now, all members of the party can participate, there doesn't have to be just one person talking or doing an action.

It's fine, I am having trouble sometimes finding where to jump in, but the pacing is still good.

By the way, interesting race in Quest 29. Might they happen to worship a dragon, and be descended from fish men perhaps?

Is the first picture of the bathtub in Q27 also the first appearance of Modulex in Heroica?

Not sure...maybe? (modulex rocks)

I think so (nice piece use, darkdragon). I wonder who will be the first to use Duplo.

(Thanks) Well if it hasn't been used yet, you might see duplo first in 27. No primo though (I don't have any).

I'm quite happy with the pace.

I have started sketching plans for a quest I would like to host someday which would take place in Duplovia -- where (old) buildings would of course be made of Duplo.

"Off to the crack room."

Given Heroica's new "R" rating, I don't think I'm the only one who spotted this...:devil:

Doc, if you keep naming your weapons and artifacts so predictably, I'm going to start changing their names in the treasury...

I have some more creative ones written down, but they're not appropriate for this battle.

The pace is excellent. It's just one of the things I'm enjoying about the quest.

Thanks guys, I'm glad I'm not moving too fast. :sweet:

"And the heroes?"

"The Emperor should never have brought them into this. We kill them immediately."

Yet another SW reference?

Do you have any that are just plain inappropriate?

Erm, I mean... :wacko::laugh:

Actually, MB and I have been working on a Duplovia quest for a while now. To be honest, the connection didn't dawn on me until a couple days ago default_laugh_new.gif

I did say in the Library topic that Duplovia is a city that was built by now-extinct giants.

"Rumor has it the last of the Duplovian giants, a young seafaring Admiral by the name of Cameron, struck a deal with a powerful Zeigfried wizard whose name has been lost to time. In exchange for extraordinarily long life, the Duplovian promised to serve the ancient, magical family for the rest of his days. Presumed to be another Zeigfried experiment gone wrong, "Big Cam" can often be found running errands near the docks on behalf of the mages, wistfully remembering his days as the pride of the once-mighty Duplovian navy."

That's insane asylum material...

Duh, everyone knows that nudity is worse than all of those things combined. :sadnew:

I could have my character drop the f-word in every post and we could see how many people complain about that as apposed to one post with nudity in it. :sweet:

I have a question for the newer players (excluding Flipz, who I know the answer to):

Do you go back and read ALL the old quests, or do "older" heroes occasionally (or often) reference quests or events that you flat-out don't know about.

I have read most of them. When I was chosen for BrickDoctor's quest I read all of his older quests and all of the current one. I'll probably do the same for any quest I am chosen on.

Just a check on something. I have a poisoned enemy with one health remaining that the party are not looking to target. Would the free hit occur before the poison finishes it off? I'm thinking that the poison effect would be first, which would then mean no free hit.

I think you would be right, yeah.

Bah, one has only to look to Pokemon old classics to see that DoT effects take effect at the very end of a round.. Let the mob get it's free hit before it eats dirt!

I've played it so that damage caused by poison is reduced at the very end of the round, meaning that the enemy would get a Free Hit before it passes out.
