I have a question about the Greatsword: If you were to switch weapons after attacking with it, would you still be Slowed? For an example:

Hero A targets Monster 1 with the Greatsword of the Lion Nobles

Turn 2, Hero A switches weapons to Broadsword and attacks Monster 1 again. Is this possible, or would the Slowed effect transmit over to the other weapon for another Turn? (i.e. the Hero would still be Slowed for a Turn after switching weapons.)

I would imagine the actual slow would be applied after your attack, so for example, after each attack, you have to wait a turn, thats the easiest way to do it, I think.

Yeah, that's how I pictured it as well.

That's how I imagined it, too. Otherwise, you'd just switch to another weapon every other Turn.

Not sure, either from an Atlantis or Pirates set. Sorry.

Okay. Thanks, anyway!

I love Skrall's long talk to Arthur. Very good stuff! It's nice to see some deeper role-playing like that sometimes.

The only thing is it takes so long to write, my character class in real life, would be a lawful good knight, so figuring out how to answer from Skrall's perspective takes awhile.

I love how Boomingham interrogates his foes in the midst of trying to murder them. (If you can call sending undead back to the grave murder, that is!)

"Ah, you see, chocolate milk is a sweetened, usually cold, cocoa-flavored milk drink. It is created when chocolate syrup (or chocolate powder) is mixed with milk (from cows, goats, soy, rice, etc). It can be purchased at most farms or dairy merchants pre-mixed or made at home with either cocoa powder and a sweetener (such as sugar or a sugar substitute), or with melted chocolate, chocolate syrup, or chocolate milk mix. Other ingredients, such as starch, salt, carrageenan, vanilla, etcetera, may be added. Chocolate milk should be kept cold with an Ice spell like plain milk. A suspension is required to blend in the two flavors (milk and chocolate, hence the name of the mixed drink). When chocolate milk begins to spoil, it gives off a coffee-like odor, unlike plain milk, and due to the properties of the carrageenan, certain farmer's milks are known to, after a certain amount of time, coagulate into a viscous, chunky bottom layer and a thin, watery upper layer. Really quite an interesting beverage, wouldn't you agree?

Got it....wait, what did you just say again?

That's how long the post is.

Well, you do a very good job of it.

OOC: Stats look good, except I bought a WP:5 Throwing Knife from Atramor back at the hall and have 6 Gold left.

It was WP: 4, and it can be used a melee weapon too. :classic:

Random question/challenge time!

Pick a song that describes your character, as they are right now. If the song describes your character in general, that's OK, but I'm more interested in a song that specifically describes your character's current thoughts and mood.

NOTE: to avoid spamming up this topic, please post your answers to this challenge in the Eurobricks What Are You Listening To? topic. If there's any additional information about your choice, you can of course still talk about it here.

I'm not exactly listening to it a lot right now, so I don't think it would belong in the thread in Community, so I'll just post a link here.

It's instrumental, and from what I read it's probably overused as a score, but I think I'll go with

. I know Bartholomew is a calm, almost emotionless figure as far as the other heroes are concerned, but he obviously has a somewhat violent past, and, right now, he's depressed because he can't figure out why he's so attracted to pale sirens and white vampires. ( ) He's Lawful Good and in quests his main concern is to do what he was hired to do and not get into any trouble, but he also wants to be fair to the heroes who he's leading who seem to want to do other things, so there's always some sort of internal conflict going on.

The color, mostly. I kind of prefer the original Evoker Alexis anyway, this one looks too much like Erdacath in my mind.

Ditto. The braid was one of the things I liked about the other version. This one looks like Ginny Weasley.

That's something I dislike about that Ginny Weasley hairpiece in general, it makes any minifig look like Ginny Weasley. Even the boys!

Also, I have no idea where to find the pieces for the legs at all. Help, please?

Oh, and while I'm here: I know everyone I'm talking about probably knows this general rule about roleplaying by now, but: Count Knyghton's views are not my own. He just has a different perspective than most do.

I sometimes forget Boomingham doesn't care about people as much as I do. That's one of the hardest things to stick to.

Sandy, thanks for the U'Kin shout-out (I know Madame Butterfly was already around, but thank you for keeping the species name  ). Someday we have to put together an index of all the different races of Heroica. Pongcanis and U'Kin crop up every once in a while now. I think thats (yet another) one of the wonderful things about this game. As soon as a species or idea or group is introduced, other QMs jump at the chance to reference it and use it, because there is such a great respect between the QMs!

I can't speak to sticking to it per se, but I can say it is difficult to introduce to the character. Part of the reason I'm going a bit over-the-top with Arthur at times is because it's so difficult to find a middle ground. On the one hand, he does care about some people, he has relationships with other characters that are real, and I don't want to minimize those. At the same time, I don't want Arthur to be too heroic--yes, at first glance he may seem like a good person, but he's not necessarily so. Sometimes I worry that I'm making Arthur too likeable, too relatable, and at others I worry I'm going too far in the other direction and he just looks rediculous. My constant oscillating back and forth doesn't do much to boost my confidence in either aspect. :sceptic:

Consistency is a real pain in the megablocks!:blush:

I personally prefer the old look, but that's just me. The color is a bit weird.

Hm, well the braid is one thing I;ve wanted to change for a while now, the hair I want is so darn expensive though!

Oh those, those were edited on. But don't worry about it to much, the old outfit, in some for or another, will be back. :sweet:
