CorneliusMurdock Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 I envy the people in Cralegoboy's quest. Did you see that awesome loot they keep finding? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 I envy the people in Cralegoboy's quest. Did you see that awesome loot they keep finding? Yup. Hoke picked up a sword worth 350 Gold in WP, not counting the value of Fire Elemental power. Quote
posades Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 The people in your quest are plotting to go up against eleven guards. Mine have a distinct numerical advantage. And I think they hacked my random number generator. We'll see if it really is hacked after this battle. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Yup. Hoke picked up a sword worth 350 Gold in WP, not counting the value of Fire Elemental power. I am stoked. Can't wait to use it in battle. I'll have to work up a detailed description and reveal as Hoke 'inspects' the sword at Heroica Hall after the quest is completed. Hopefully it's not a story item that Hoke has to give up. Quote
K-Nut Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Sure, Nobody marvels over my dagger. What do you expect to find in a cave with mysterious noises, normal stuff? And if we have to give these up, I should've gotten a smoke bomb. Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Mwahaha! Most fun challenge yet has got to be in Quest 8. Quote
JimBee Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Here's just an idea for the Barbarian job trait: what if they regained half of the health the were missing? For example, a Barbarian's health after a battle is 8/12. They're missing four health, so they would regain half of that and their health would be restored to 10/12. IMO this would be a fair compromise since Barbarians would be nearly indestructible if they gained full health after each battle. Quote
Zepher Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 There's a reasonable idea. I agree, Barbarians are friggin' invincible as of now. They just have to survive a battle at a time, where usually the challenge is surviving numerous battles in a row! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 That does sound like a good idea. By the way, players of Quest 4, never fear! You'll be getting your own nice lot of loot at the end of the quest. Quote
Tanma Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 (edited) That does sound like a good idea. By the way, players of Quest 4, never fear! You'll be getting your own nice lot of loot at the end of the quest. If we survive, that is. Still, the 2000 gold on the sign up will make up for any pain we feel, even though I believe it gets divided into 250 gold apiece. And with new weapons and improved relations, what more could there be? Edited September 27, 2011 by Tanma Quote
Zepher Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Wouldn't it be more effective to not buy canteens and just use potions? Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Wouldn't it be more effective to not buy canteens and just use potions? Stop finding loopholes!! No because in the desert you need water... and no magic can change that simple fact! Quote
Bricksandparts Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Wouldn't it be more effective to not buy canteens and just use potions? If you run out of water, you'll have to travel all the back to town. Quote

Don't count your chickens before they hatch, gentlemen. I've been planning that one since the beginning. Quote
Tanma Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Don't count your chickens before they hatch, gentlemen. I've been planning that one since the beginning. Yeah, as an outsider I think that sword won't last. The Ancient part of its name screams rusted and battle worn to me. Quote

Sisco Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Not cool. Sorry, I honestly thought that I'd have a rogue on the party, but there were none that weren't wanted by the other QM's or I just didn't want. Quote

Brickdoctor Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 I should also point out that, if you haven't noticed, players of my quest are probably going to be in more battles than there were in Quests 1-3. You'll probably come out with twice the XP of one of those quests. Quote

Zepher Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Well, I've found my problem with my quest! I want to make quests that foster character growth and interaction, but this one, with all the one-on-one fights, sadly doesn't do that. But my next one shall, I promise! I'm really excited for that in the quests I participate in and really am going to look to force it upon others in other quests. That being said, the reason I'm sad I didn't leave much room for it is because these are some of my favorite characters. Thanks for questing with me so far guys, and you are far from out of the woods. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Thanks for questing with me so far guys, and you are far from out of the woods. Don't worry! We'd be quite upset if the Quest ended now. Some of us haven't even gained XP! Quote

swils Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Oooh, the potential of even more new lewtz. I'm intrigued! These sure are a patient bunch of wookPongcanae, it's a shame we're going to have to kill them (eventually)! Quote
