CMP Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 Fix'd. Admit it, you just want this thing so you can summon a Balrog. That would be better suited as a Demon/Fire, as a monster, instead of a summon. scribble scribble Besides, I can't be an Evoker. I just think it would be an interesting item for those who are/can, they're already the most popular advanced class. For another advanced class artifact, maybe something like Black Knight's Sigil - When a Shield is rolled, the Stunned effect only has a 50% chance to take place. Suitable for Black Knights. Quote
Kadabra Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 (edited) Flipz, I missed one of your Questions of the Indeterminate Time Period, so here's my belated answer: Arasmyth's current feelings can be best reflected by Uncle Kracker's In a Little While. Although it's obviously intended to represent a separation from a lover, I think it describes Arasmyth's homesickness quite well. As for a Black Knight specific artifact, I'd like to see an Empathy Link: Forms a bond with one of your party members. You may drain their health as well as your own for Mortal Hits. That'd be interesting, I think. Edited May 21, 2012 by Kadabra Quote
Darth Nihilus Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 Oh yes, I missed that one too. Dak can currently be described by Linkin Park's , which I think also describes his change into a heartless Black Knight pretty well. Quote
Endgame Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 All the pople bashing the undead and necromancers in the hall Oooh, Syntax would love to give all these pople a walloping right now. Unfortunately, he has a maginastra to defeat... Quote
Brickdoctor Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Quick question: I'm building the Kingdoms Joust, and, naturally, I'm starting to think about what parts of it I want to integrate into Heroica quests. So, Sandy, since the new Falcon Knight's coat of arms is so similar to that of the Black Falcons, is the new Falcon Knight to be associated with the Bonapartes, or is it okay to use for other factions/independent knights? Are you talking about the shield? Because the knight itself does not bear the emblem anywhere in its armor, so you're free to use him for whatever. It's of course possible that a foreign faction also uses a falcon as a symbol, but I'd appreciate if no Eubrican faction would use the same symbols that already established factions use. Quote

Yes, I was talking about the shield. Thanks. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 That's why, when I used Lion Knights as the Ve'er Town Watch, I made sure I picked ones without the crest on the torso. I may have locked out the Musketeer torso with Captain Hlin Horkkba though, but as far as I am concerned anyone else can use that. They just won't be as cool as Hlin Quote
Sisco Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Alright, here's Assassin Jess 2.0: I took Flipz's suggestion about Hawkeye's legs, and he was absolutely correct. They look great, IMHO. I also changed the hair to Bellatrix hair. I wanted to keep it dark because Jess is not necessarily a good or light character. Special thanks to K-nuT and Masked Builder for their assistance in photographing this character while my camera is MIA. Couldn't have done it without you guys! Quote
Sandy Posted May 22, 2012 Author Posted May 22, 2012 Looks much better, if I can give my honest opinion. Here's a close-up avatar to commemorate Jess's makeover: Quote
Sisco Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Thanks Sandy! I'll definitely be using that close-up avatar. Quote
Masked Builder Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Yep you're welcome Sisco, it's good to see Jess with the new outfit. Quote
Scorpiox Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 (edited) Snip Haldor likes big hair. Mmm... On another note, I'm going to answer Flipz' question of the Indeterminate Time Period. Haldor's thought can be best described at this moment by How You Remind Me by Nickelback. Great song. Edited May 22, 2012 by Scorpiox Quote
CMP Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 In fact, if they'd try to go back into any of the rooms, they would discover that all the doors are locked up tighter than Atramor Gibbin's... purse of gold. Except the entrance door, obviously. Yay, I got referenced. Quote
Zepher Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 The answer is clear! Just look for the man behind the curtain! Quote

Zepher Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Game for the Interim (Unless that's Flipz's ©): One of my favorite parts of playing (and particularly hosting) is imagining different combinations of players on different quests. What characters would you must like to see quest together (doesn't have to be your favorite characters necessarily, or the people you want to quest with) and what sort of quest should they go on (Ennoc, Wren, Wolfgang, etc.)? Quote
K-Nut Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Ooh, tough one. I'd probably say a four person quest with Althior, Atramor, Tesni, and maybe Arthur on any sort of quest. The butting heads of Althior and Atramor with Tesni trying to get things in order by smashing their heads together. I also think that Arthur and De'kra on a Wren quest together. The Roleplaying would be epic. Quote
Kadabra Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 I'd like to see Boomingham and Cronk go on any sort of Quest where the Wolfgang show up and bribe them to do something morally ambiguous. Battle of Wills between our two resident badass paladins. Quote
Palathadric Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Yep you're welcome Sisco, it's good to see Jess with the new outfit. I still prefer the old one. That hair... Quote

The Roleplaying would be epic. I've said this a LOT, I know, but I want to see Atramor, Tomas, Cinna, De'kra, and Arthur on a Wren Quest. Tomas/Cinna/De'kra is a combo that Tanma has already said is important to De'kra's development, and I for his roleplaying; I also want to see Atramor and Arthur Quest together, and Arthur and De'kra. Wren Quest chosen simply because all of these characters (save for Tomas) have some degree of darkness, and because she tends to bring out the epic roleplaying. To round out the party, I'd probably want to see Cronk, Hybros, or Tensi, all of whom have history with Wren. In terms of JUST others' characters, I want to see Atramor, De'kra, Cronk, Skrall, Tensi, and Boomingham on a Quest together, preferably some kind of "investigation" Quest, lots of questioning suspects, finding vague clues in the streets, that sort of thing. Bonus points if the "criminal" and the "victim" are not exactly distinct from each other; a Hinckwell-Shadeaux Quest would actually be quite interesting for that. Quote
CMP Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 OoC: I do think it is unfair to take a players RP actions into context if they weren't possible and wouldn't have happened that the player couldn't have known. You should instead say why it wouldn't have worked OoC instead, not just call the person delusional. Well, you're not leaving much room for him to move. It's generally considered bad roleplaying to autohit other characters, and godmodding them so that don't have a chance to react to your actions. Quote
Zepher Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 I still prefer the old one. That hair... Don't be a Negative Nancy. As for Kadabra and B&P - I agree, no one should pretend that the other character is rambling to themselves, it takes away the RP from them. Likewise, B&P, it's not fun if you show off your badassery by throwing knives and kicking groins. Alf is going in a nice direction right now, don't make all the other characters (and players) hate him because he flawlessly can wreck anyone who he feels like. Assume that if you can throw a knife into a staff, Kadabra could block it, so why bother at all? Quote
