Peanuts Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 I must say, I've never seen a better use for the Clone Wars figures! I totally agree. BTW, Doc, what exactly does the name "Pongcanis" derive from? Just wondering? Quote
Masked Builder Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Don't mess with the King of Clone Wars (New Nickname) Flitwick, He could get Mutly (How do I spell that?) to send his army at you. Uh oh I'm in trouble now! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 BTW, Doc, what exactly does the name "Pongcanis" derive from? Just wondering? From Pongo and Canis, genera of orangutans and dogs, respectively. The orangutan and Lucas' dog Indiana were the basis and the inspiration behind Wookiees. Uh oh I'm in trouble now! Call madoka. I'm sure he can crush mutley's army. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Sorry for the double post. William Harkenshire silently stalked into the grand Library to read up on the powerful houses and other significant factions when he noticed a huge ommision. "good day, metasimian librarian, I couldn't help but notice your records have no information about the Forestmen, if you would like, I would be happy to document some information about them." Just wanted to let you know that buried somewhere in the Heroica Hall topic is a post about the Forestmen, by yours truly. It basically just adapts TLG's storyline to the Heroica world. (Forestmen live somewhere other than the lands of the Heroica Library's map; Forestmen oppose the Crusaders but regard them as honorable enemies; Forestmen have hideouts in the forest; Forestmen raid traveling Crusaders) Beyond that, nothing's defined, but I just want to make sure all descriptions match up. See especially my posts here, here, and here. Quote
Bioniclover Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Kadabra has convinced me to join this in order to raise my post count. I was reluctant at first, but I read through all the Quests in the library and it seems like it should be really fun. Great job creating this RP, Sandy. (About the character - I was planning on being a Rogue, but then I read The Missing Matriarch. I can't help but emulate Cronk, he's just so badass! Also, the Diplomat skll seems like it will come in handy.) Quote
Quarryman Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 OOC: R'klif = Rock cliff ??? It's "R'kilf", and I do believe it's because it's Flickr backwards. Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Haggling is hilarious! Dannylonglegs- that was some bamboozle you fell for! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 It's "R'kilf", and I do believe it's because it's Flickr backwards. Yep. Without the 'c', though, because it's easier to pronounce this way. Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Our party is having epic results, apart from Dekra that is! Please Doc, anymore than 8 and we kill Isaac Shawe! Quote
Jebediahs Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 I find it humorous that the "short" race players such as Dekra and Hybros often get the short end of the stick during quests. Quote
Tanma Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Our party is having epic results, apart from Dekra that is! Please Doc, anymore than 8 and we kill Isaac Shawe! Well I did finish off the barbarian with a critical hit. But yeah, in all the prior fights De'kra ever got hit, missed, or the foe was defeated before his turn. He has not had the best luck in combat. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Sorry for the wait; RCB 3 is finishing today, and I've got to get everything finished up, color corrected, saved, screenshotted, and uploaded. Quest 4 should continue in a few hours, though. Quote

Sandy Posted September 29, 2011 Author Posted September 29, 2011 I have to say it's been a breeze hosting a quest with just three (active!) players. Sure, there have been some minor hiccups at least on my part with the numbers (those damned numbers!!!), but since all three players are so active and keen-eyed, it's really been easy to keep track of everything despite of that. Thanks in advance for your participation, guys! Quote
Rumble Strike Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 I agree Sandy, I am loving the interaction between the three. They are all playing up their characters very well. Quote
K-Nut Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 It does seem like three participants would be a breeze, but then again you just hosted three quests each with six heroes. Quote

Thanks in advance for your participation, guys! I agree, with only 3 of us, things are going pretty smoothly. Sorry if we're stretching it out longer than you expected Sandy, you probably had everything ready for a final battle with Donny before we decided to go in the complete opposite direction . What can I say, it's giving me more time to build the scenes for my own quest after this one and I just love how you illustrate the settings with your Moc's. Keep up the good work Quote
Rumble Strike Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 I knew that Resurrection Special would bite us in the behind. This is the bloody Direwolves all over again! Except Undead ones :/ Quote

Thanks in advance for your participation, guys! Yeah, like mentioned, you did just host three quests @ the same time with more players! I know you meant it to be a quick quest so I try to keep that in the back of my mind at all times so you can take a break and focus on your non-hosted quest. Keep up the good work I think our quest progresses smoothly due to our small party size as well as the fact we try to keep out of character comments to a minimum. Your settings are awesome and are discouraging me from hosting a quest as my building skills are the opposite of awesome. I'll give myself a few more quests time to practice my building and photography skills before attempting to host. :-D EDIT: Oh yeah, Sorry I keep forgetting to post the Order of Action after each round. If I'd seen a need to change the order mid battle, I know I would have changed the order (I'd like to think so). If everything's going fine I don't even think about the order so I honestly forget to post it. oops. Edited September 29, 2011 by Jebediahs Quote

Capt.JohnPaul Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 This stall keeper must make a killing from all of the unwary foreigners that come. By the way, why did I get the best deal? I didn't really plan for anyone getting a "better deal". It's just luck. (Though I kind of cut you some slack as you are new and have limited gold. It wouldn't be fair that everyone else is having a good time as you're dying of thirst.) Quote
legobodgers Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Oh, so it wasn't my extreme good looks, wit and bartering skill then? Great quest by the way. Quote
Sisco Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 I knew that Resurrection Special would bite us in the behind. This is the bloody Direwolves all over again! Except Undead ones :/ I thought you guys would enjoy that. Quote

Oh no, on the contrary I was prepared for a longer quest, but you just seemed to find all the fastests solutions. Quote
Tanma Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Just curious, but are there plans for a bank in the hall? You could store some of your money there, and not worry about hostile rogues and other foes from stealing all your hard earned funds. Quote
