CorneliusMurdock Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Those bombs do 30 damage to the enemy party and 10 damage to the friendly party, ignoring SP/Row. One hit knockout. How wonderfully anti-climactic... I like it. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 QM Note: Yay! Finally Danny won't solve this puzzle! Ha! In your dreams! Face it, you're stuck with me like gum to a tire! ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote

swils Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 (edited) So I have to ask, did the three of you have a plan if we had realized what the Shadeaux had done? Go along with it, of course! Thormanil is relatively new in town. Sure, he's made friends within the Hall, but the only major faction to reach out to him is the Shadeaux. Granted, it was towards their own ends, but he doesn't really recognize that. He's not used to big-city politics and he would be inclined to believe that, despite how it looks, the Shadeaux aren't just using him as a tool. As it stands, he'll likely continue to help out the Shadeaux, right up until it bites him (no pun intended) in the rear. It's entirely possible that he could have his eyes opened, so to speak, once some of the current questers return and start sharing stories about the damage that has been wrought using his actions as a framework, but even then, I don't think he'll be too quick to abandon the Shadeaux. Not until they really sell him out. Edit: Read your question wrong. Totally thought you were talking to the questers from 4. Whoops! Edited June 6, 2012 by swils Quote
Scorpiox Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 And that is the first time Boomingham has ever "surprised" me. He surprised me too. Hopefully Barty might come back. I'm sorry that I single handedly caused that fight, made you kill Barty, made Nur run off, and lose us a source of valuable information. Quote
Sisco Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 I'm sorry that I single handedly caused that fight, made you kill Barty, made Nur run off, and lose us a source of valuable information. Don't forget about upsetting Jess. Quote
Flipz Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Bleaahh and this is why you figure out all of your backstory BEFORE major plot elements come up for it. Zeph, WBD, Doc, and all involved, I apologize for my subpar roleplay these last few posts, I failed to work out the consequences of Arthur's backstory with his sudden turn away from darkness. It's kind of messy right now, but when I get back from my graduation ceremony tomorrow, I'll see about straghtening things up with him a bit. Also, the Quest 28 roleplay is EPIC. Quote
Scorpiox Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Don't forget about upsetting Jess. And that... Quote
Rumble Strike Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Yeah you guys in Quest#28 are making it a rivitting read, great stuff! Quote

Tanma Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 I guess Zepher got the friction between Haldor and Jess that he always wanted... Quest 28: The Breakthrough-up Also, thank you so much Tarn for using the bomb (assuming you survive the first round) Quote
Zepher Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 I'm personally excited to see how the bomb situation works out. And why couldn't you two have this friction with Wren around?! Quote

posades Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 Didn't get Sandy's response to my follow up question yet, but the more I think about it the less likely my plan would work anyways. Ah well, on to Plan B... Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 I'm personally excited to see how the bomb situation works out. I'm not particularly excited about how you worded that, Zepher. Where exactly did they get these bombs? Quote
Zepher Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 I'm not particularly excited about how you worded that, Zepher. Where exactly did they get these bombs? Hehe, don't worry, Wren has been hiding mostly in the background, the bombs do what they advertise! I just wanted to know what Sandy said to Xander. I'll update tomorrow, I have to take pictures, sorry everyone. Quote
Flipz Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 I'm personally excited to see how the bomb situation works out. And why couldn't you two have this friction with Wren around?! You want Wren around while there's intra-party friction? That can be arranged... Quote
Tanma Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 I'm personally excited to see how the bomb situation works out. And why couldn't you two have this friction with Wren around?! Agreed, the Roleplaying elements that come from such a destructive weapon are limitless I already have De'kra's reaction planned, if the bomb works of course and nothing major changes. Quote
posades Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 Why did you change your action CallMePie? Now I have to change mine... Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 QM Note: No! You already are getting enough XP! Awww. But I'm greedy! Anyway, the puzzles are fun enough as they are! I just hope I didn't hinder anyone else's attempts to solve them. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Tanma Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 (edited) Why did you change your action CallMePie? Now I have to change mine... Not necessarily, all Atramor affected was round two, you could still maime him to death in round one, if I understand the system right. Atramor's actions will just give him back health for round two if you didn't manage to kill him in your attack in round one. Either way, it all comes down to Tarn and Xander now... Rumble Strike Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 I fear this is the issue with having the battle order and chosen targets for two rounds available to see. It does affect strategy. Quote

Well round 2 you guys go first so pretty much this battle is a one rounder. And now that I think about we should have just all targeted Tarn then William. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 Right, but under what justification? You shouldn't know in-character what we are planning to do. Quote
