Tanma Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 I'm kind of satisfied with Atramor's roleplaying recently. It might be a little cliche, but I figured after the last few quests he was going Good too quickly. I think he's back in the running for Most Disliked Hero Alive. We have a really varied roster (as Volcanic pointed out) especially in terms of alignment: Lawful Good, Neutral Good, Lawful Neutral, Chaotic Neutral, and what's turning out to be Chaotic Evil. I hope the Quest 29 party sticks around, at that point you have a whole mess of personalities and such. You do have quite the varied party, any thoughts on De'kra's alignment? Quote

I'm afraid I'm not too good on D&D alignments, so forgive me when I ask, whose who? Quote
LEGOman273 Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 The Ji Pei have an airship; do any of the other Houses have them? Quote
Tanma Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 The Ji Pei have an airship; do any of the other Houses have them? No, just the Ji Pei. Their whole thing is technology, like how Shadeaux and Hinckwell are traders. Quote
Chromeknight Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 Watching quest 30 heroes bicker, I'm wondering is the Q29 party simply more functional, just 'nicer' or plain old boring? We really haven't had the name calling and disagreements that seem to be standard on the other quests... Perhaps its that Wren is less interested in us? Quote
CMP Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 Perhaps its that Wren is less interested in us? No. You just don't have enough Rogues. Quote
Tanma Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 No. You just don't have enough Rogues. And even worse, one of those Rogues is De'kra. But seriously, I don't think there is anything wrong with a party that isn't dysfunctional. You can still have interaction and character development without your party hating each other. Quote
Chromeknight Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 No. You just don't have enough Rogues. How is two rogues not enough? Any more and we'd end up like Q34, definitely not a happy group... Quote
Bricksandparts Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 (edited) Drake soon got bored of what was happening, so he escaped from the hidden cave and sneaked over to the blue dragon. He slowly and quietly climbed onto it and he ordered it to go to the hall in the most quiet way possible, in a quiet voice. And it started. A journey Drake would never forget. Drake gripped onto the dragon as it twirled and twisted and turned in the fluffy, white clouds. Drake even got to touch one. Eventually, he arrived at the hall, told the dragon to fly back to Johon and Sorrow and Drake watched as the dragon sped off at a tremendous speed towards the sky. Drake then entered the hall and when up to the saloon for some beer. Xxlrocka, please stop doing this. It might be ok (Very strange though) to stalk other heroes, but taking someone's RP NPC and making it do something that it wasn't necessarily supposed to do isn't right. Since others have Role-played it out, this time I'll let it slide. Edited June 8, 2012 by Bricksandparts Quote
Tanma Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 How is two rogues not enough? Any more and we'd end up like Q34, definitely not a happy group... De'kra doesn't count, he isn't roguishly enough. You can probably find paladins who would make better rogues than him. Quote
Chromeknight Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 De'kra doesn't count, he isn't roguishly enough. You can probably find paladins who would make better rogues than him. But if he doesn't count as a rogue, what does he count as? Unless he's secretly a ... A rouge! Quote
Tanma Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 But if he doesn't count as a rogue, what does he count as? Unless he's secretly a ... A rouge! ...no. But this does raise an interesting question, though I am not sure whether or not to put it here in in the theatre section. Well, I might as ask it here for quoting sake. Simply put, if your character was not their class, what class do you think they would default to? Like if De'kra had not been started as a Rogue, what class would you see him as? Quote
Flipz Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 EDIT: Argh, I'm sorry, that sounds really cutting doesn't it? I mean no offence at all, sorry if that was a bit rude. No, not rude at all. It was all specific, constructive, and VERY helpful. I'll address the rest in the Theatre topic. Oh, and yes, this one WILL be indexed as well...as soon as I decide on formatting. Quote
LEGOman273 Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 QM Note: No! You already are getting enough XP! There is no such thing! Quote
Zepher Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 I apologize profusely for my spotty QMing today. I had two major life-events back-to-back. The quests will be back on track tomorrow, sorry that all my copy and pasting confused folks. I wanted to let people go ahead with things. I'm also afraid that the players feel a little lost right now. We pinky promise to clear up your next objective as soon as all this wonderful roleplaying ends! Quote
xxlrocka Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 I have an idea that will end the dragon stealing conversation in the hall. Quote

JimBee Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 In light of the new Expert Classes, someone should definitely host a Ji Pei quest. And a Guild of Invision one. We've hardly had any of those and I really want to see Chi Monks and Alchemists. On another note, I just noticed that Szalinski of Quest #28 is the same scientist as in Quest #12 (WBD and Jeb QM'd, respectively). I never realized this, but what a cool crossover. He's not in the NPC index yet, though... Quote

Yeah, Szalinski was one of the things that made me want to sign for this quest, alonside the fact that WBD is an awesome QM. I hope we will see more of the gnome later. It would be a shame if he just stayed in hospital. Edited June 8, 2012 by Scorpiox Quote
posades Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Reading back what I said to De'kra, I'm getting a Mufasa Lion King vibe from it. And yeah I was kind of wondering about all your nicknames. Quote
Tanma Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 (edited) Reading what I said to De'kra, I'm getting a Mufasa Lion King vibe from it. And yeah I was kind of wondering about all your nicknames. Ah Lion King, that is so funny for reasons no one but me gets right now. Basically De'kra nicknames people based on who they remind him of in his past. He was one for Xander, but I on on the fence if he should really be able to use it or not. Still, he could probably come up with it on his own. And yes, De'kra just recount the story of the Empire. Rumble Strike Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 So De'kra is comparing Tarn to a despotic ruler whose lust for power and control drove an entire empire to it's knees? Overreact much, small clicky Rogue? Quote

Tanma Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 (edited) So De'kra is comparing Tarn to a despotic ruler whose lust for power and control drove an entire empire to it's knees? Overreact much, small clicky Rogue? No, right now he sees you as the Nidhiki of the equation. Which is not as bad, because in the main universe of Bionicle Nidhiki sided with Lhikan. (and then tried to betray him in a war later, but that is not here nor there. Still, Nidhiki got what was coming to him) Point is, De'kra is thinking Tarn is corruptable, but not necessarilly evil mastermind material. Edited June 9, 2012 by Tanma Quote
