Sandy Posted June 12, 2012 Author Posted June 12, 2012 So Sandy, we could take a remedy to remove the Jinxed effect? Why don't you try it instead of asking? Quote
posades Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 "These are forbidden lands, and you are trespassing. Turn back now." How will the party respond? I wonder what would happen if we just turned back like they said. Another twist in the story perhaps? Quote
JimBee Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 A remedy removes any negative effect, so yeah... I'm also curious if taking a Nostrum would counteract the jinxed-effect, and if taking another would make the user lucky. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 (edited) OoC: Where did you get that idea? You get +7 health and +1 ether right away when you change into a druid, so you should have 30/30 health and 20/20 ether. I don't know. Thanks for catching that! Nice save! I changed my stats to accommodate the changes bonuses. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Reason for Edit: I redundantly worded things redundantly. Edited June 12, 2012 by Dannylonglegs Quote
UsernameMDM Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Well played DannyLL/Sylph. Nice way to re-enter the quest! Quote
CMP Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Drops: Cat-o´-Nine-Tails (WP:9, damages all enemies, suitable to rogues) Need. Need, so, so bad. Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 I know CMP; imagine a mug with that weapon! Quote
CMP Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 I know CMP; imagine a mug with that weapon! Shut up, JimBee could buy that thing 20 times over. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Need. Need, so, so bad. It should become a running gag for every QM to drop one weapon that Pie would really love to have. *scribble scribble* Quote
JimBee Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Shut up, JimBee could buy that thing 20 times over. Gimmie! ...Except it wouldn't get me any more gold as an Assassin. In the hands of a Rogue or Raider, though... Quote
Scubacarrot Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Gimmie! ...Except it wouldn't get me any more gold as an Assassin. In the hands of a Rogue or Raider, though... Indeed, GimME Quote
CMP Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 You already have your damage-the-entire-enemy-party weapon. Give us a chance. It should become a running gag for every QM to drop one weapon that Pie would really love to have. *scribble scribble* That is cruel. At least make sure there's a unique scroll per quest to go along with it. Quote
Endgame Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 I've been throwing science ideas at the wall for herocia to see what sticks (You're not the only one who plays portal, Flipz!) and I have a suggestion: Perhaps a new, rare and sought after item called a Mythril Shard could be introduced to the game? Collecting 7 and taking them to Smokebeard will forge them into a full fledged Mythril Crystal. They would be hard to find, but not impossible or incredibly expensive like a normal mythril crystal (How many mythrils have been found total?) Striking a balance between the rarity of each shard and the rarity needed for Mythril to remain mythical would be hard, but I'm interested in what you guys think. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 That is cruel. At least make sure there's a unique scroll per quest to go along with it. That won't work for me; Flipz in in my quest. Quote
CMP Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 That'd be very interesting. I've been thinking about other things that could be forged by Anwyl (I think I mentioned once some sort of effect-bearing crystal that, while very useful, would be expensive to fuse with a weapon) and bits of Mythril like that would make it, at some point or another, obtainable. They're showing up in quests, but with nearly no possible way to actually get them, unless it's at a questionable discount. That won't work for me; Flipz in in my quest. You said every QM. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 You said every QM. Right, and "every QM" refers to a group that includes me. If it doesn't work for me, then it no longer works for every QM; it only works for every QM except for one. Now, if I had said, "every other QM"... Solution: Make sure that Pie and Flipz are never the Party Leaders, and make sure they're always in a quest with someone who might want the item just as much as they are, and bribe the Party Leaders. Yay, problem solved! Quote
Sandy Posted June 12, 2012 Author Posted June 12, 2012 I know CMP; imagine a mug with that weapon! Damn, didn't think of that. Sorry, now I've got to nerf the item so that it doesn't apply to mug. Professor Flitwick Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Damn, didn't think of that. Sorry, now I've got to nerf the item so that it doesn't apply to mug. Okay, I want it less now. Quote

CMP Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Okay, I want it less now. Screw the gold, I just want a mass deadly poisoning. Quote
Endgame Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Great minds think alike... That mean it's going to be used? I was going to PM you today asking if i could introduce them in my quest, but I wanted other's take on it first. Speaiing of which, I nearly have another batch of info fresh out of the oven for the Voracious Vault. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Something I've been wondering... Not sure if this is the best place for it or the QM's lounge, but anyway: If you have reputation with a faction, it means you are favoured, which means so much that you will have a better chance for getting into the faction's quest, and if it's the opposing faction, a worse chance? How is this done? Should the QM always first choose the players with the best reputation, or is it subjective? Quote
Sandy Posted June 12, 2012 Author Posted June 12, 2012 How is this done? Should the QM always first choose the players with the best reputation, or is it subjective? It is subjective, something that QMs should consider when choosing players, but not be restricted by it. Quote
