Palathadric Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Sandy, is Elphaba (I think that was her name) coming back to town? I don't know if she comes in and leaves regularly or what the exact arrangement is with her. Quote
Flipz Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 (edited) Sandy, is Elphaba (I think that was her name) coming back to town? I don't know if she comes in and leaves regularly or what the exact arrangement is with her. Without even a word of goodbye, Elphaba left the smith's house. Soon the horseless magic wagon was seen driving out of the Marketplace. It would be another half an year before it would be seen again. ~Elphaba's Magic Wagon has left the Marketplace.~ There you go. EDIT: A thought just occurred to me. Since (as far as I recall) no Ether-using character has had access to Zoot's Cookies, can they increase maximum Ether as well, so long as the character has access to it already? Never mind. I wasn't sure if this was half a year in our time or half a year in Heroica's time. Unless they are indeed the same. I believe there was a discussion about this a while back. Quote

Tanma Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Dee's beard and mustache fluttered as she expelled air in a huff. "Bah! It took me too many masks in trade to buy those scrolls! If I ever see the swindler who I traded with again, I'm going to give him a swift kick in the tenders! I plan on selling them for at least 200 gold once I make my way to Eubric. There's bound to be a desperate mage to exploit. The price is the price." I wonder which Mage he might be referring too? Quote
swils Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 I wonder which Mage he might be referring too? I was just about to quote the same, with identical sentiments. Well played, Jeb! Quote
Flipz Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 I was just about to quote the same, with identical sentiments. Well played, Jeb! Well, that answers my question from before about why all these new scrolls are so expensive and rare. The QMs are delibarately trolling me. Quote
Tanma Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 By Vakama's eyebrow! I was just looking up Arthur's stats, I had no clue he was that much in debt! Maybe this is why he has been reacting badly towards Rogues, jealousy that they need not worry about money as much! He has sufficient reason to become a sorcerer now, just have the heroes he owes money too come to collect! ...this is not meant offensively, I am just surprised at the number. Quote
Flipz Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 By Vakama's eyebrow! What an...interesting choice of words. Yeah, but Arthur's kind of an aas anyways, so it all evens out. I have figured out what I've done wrong with him, but unfortunately I'm not sure I can fix him; it turns out, I made SEVERAL bad choices with him, and I don't now how to undo those. As to the debts, do remember that a lot of those deals are from OOC trades (that reminds me, I need to add his latest debt in ), so IC it wouldn't shouldn't affect him (even though it probably does ). And speaking of gold...throw some Money Spiders and Pinata Enemies at us! Quote

Time to reroll another character. But seriously, I'm actually considering finishing up with Skrall in another 2 quests or so, he's been fun to play, but there are so many other characters out there that I would love to flesh out. I've been thinking about doing the same, and I certainly will at some point, but I'd like Atramor to hit at least expert classes first. Maybe you could wait and there'll be a fresh wave of newbies? Tanma Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 What an...interesting choice of words. : ...Mask of Light still burns in my mind, though I blotted it out enough to forget if it was a unibrow or not. Hopefully if Skrall is retired he will still get to be a recurring NPC, instead of just put on a bus. Quote

CorneliusMurdock Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Zepher, I'll be away at Brickworld until late Sunday. The party leader can choose my actions until then if the quest gets moving. Quote
Sandy Posted June 13, 2012 Author Posted June 13, 2012 I've been thinking about doing the same, and I certainly will at some point, but I'd like Atramor to hit at least expert classes first. I'm actually thinking about giving players that hit Level 50 a second character to play as. I'm still contemplating whether to allow the two characters to join the same quests or not. Any thoughts on this? Does anyone know when Sloop's quest will be up and running? He hasn't logged in since over a week's time. I don't know, either. He hasn't replied to my PMs or anything. And here I thought he was such a promising QM... Hope he is alright, and will rejoin us soon! Quote
Masked Builder Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 That sounds good to me! There have been a few times I've wanted to change class, but I've come so far with Alexis. Quote

It allows players to have a second character, without forcing them to retire their original one. I, also, have wondered what is going on with Sloop. Quote

You can't really go much farther after 50, so you should be able to do it over again. (But without losing your character.) The roleplaying aspect could be better now that you can talk to more people. (And deciding how the character responds. Though that may not be true RP.) It's worth a try. EDIT: They should be able to go on quests together, if they're on different quests, it's hard to control two different people in different quests. (Especially a Dastan one.) Scubacarrot Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 I love the idea of being able to have a second character, but I don't think having them on the same quest would be a good idea, I think it would just be confusing, and weird. Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Not to mention it might create problems for the QM, having to create fights suitable for a level 1 and a level 50 3/5. Quote

Tanma Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 The only danger I see is that one could have their level fifty character give tons of cool items to their pre-quest level one character. I don't think that will be a problem, but it is so ething to consider. Quote
