Scheherazade? What's she doing there? Shouldn't she be serving drinks? Now can I say who I think the new Character is? I'm probably wrong, but he/she looks so suspicious. We must know! :sing:

Scheherazade also has days off, and in the meanwhile the saloon is run by her identical twin sister Schmeherescheremeschermeharazade. And she absolutely hates it when people get her name wrong.

Just joking, of course... Anyway, do tell who you suspect to be an important character in the crowd. I'm interested to hear your theories.

Not sure if it's an important character, but it does look like you have Captain Greenhair in drag in there.

I think it might be the one next to the shark, with Red skin, and wearing all white.

Why? They just look too cool to be a background character!

That is her, but we're looking for the (as of yet) unknown important person in the crowd, who is to be introduced in a future quest.

In that case, I'm hoping for the Orc wearing the fez. Why? Because it's an Orc...with a fez! :sweet:

I'm thinking Sham has green skin, unless you're spotting something I didn't, though I agree that the character with the scout trooper helmet does seem to stick out.

On another note, if I upgrade my hunter's crossbow from WP 4 to 5 does that mean its effectiveness against beasts also upgrades from WP 8 to 9?

Yes, that power grows as well.

Oops, I meant the fourth pic- if you lok closely, he has a green arm.

Hmm, as Jebediahs kindly pointed out:

I just started reading Quest #4 again. That first battle you attacked from back row so should have received half damage. There's no way you should have been knocked out.

He's right, isn't he? I shouldn't have taken five damage when on the back row and been knocked out.

Oops.

I adjusted the last posting of the party's stats accordingly. It shouldn't be that big of a difference in stats to affect the other battles.

Thanks. I shouldn't think so, but at least I've caught up with the others now. :classic:

cralegoboy, how are you deciding which Special Crozen uses? All past enemies with secondary Specials have them to prevent the Party from being overwhelmed with reinforcing enemies.

Just wondering, why were (Life) Potions changed from red (in the board game) to green (here)? Also, why were the Luck, Strength and Speed Potions omitted? They seem like they could have easily been adapted into the RPG, i.e. the Luck Potion giving you Lucky status for the duration of the battle (like En Sabah Nur's Lucky Dice, but temporary), the Strength Potion might double your Power for 1 battle, and the Speed Potion might make it so you always went first.

I'll be rolling twice and taking the better of the two for which one Crozen uses. Reinforcements will be quite sparse. Also, consider that this is the boss fight, and someone's dagger does upwards to 32 damage a critical...

I can't speak for Sandy, but I would assume that just because they haven't appeared yet doesn't mean a QM can't add them.

Oh, no, I have nothing against more powerful enemies. :devil_laugh:

Still, a triple digit health Undead foe who can summon Undead reinforcements is not to be sniffed at!

This will be tough, but interesting to see how the battle goes especially as not everyone in the party can damage her.

Good luck healing this battle, Ellaria!

Holy hell, cralegoboy! Holy hell!

When creating this game, I did not follow the rules of the boardgame, just adapted and incorporated some of them and made up the rest on my own. I didn't even own any of the Heroica boardgames until a few days ago (I now have Nathuz and Waldurk, so I still need to buy the other two).

I did not really change the color of the potions, I've just grown accustomed to green being the color for health while playing RPG videogames.

And I did not omit those potions on purpose, and it's not hard to include them into the game. In fact, there are three "positive effects" that correspond to those potions, so each of them could give one of these following effects:

Encouraged
– The target inflicts double damage for the next turn.

Hastened
– The target can act twice in the next round.

Lucky
– In the next turn, the target rolls the battle die twice and gets the better result of the two.

As per your suggestion, I'll see that they are included in the near future.
