RPGer Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 So basically you're just making up more rules which you know you aren't supposed to? It's a weapon ability, not a right. Just deal with it. Quote

Zepher Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 The Dastan Trilogy is so apocolyptic it is amazing. That's the fun of it. How epic of a battle can there be in a one QM quest? A pretty epic battle, probably. But once you throw in three QMs, 15 players, and a ton of NPCs... then war can really happen. Quote

Zepher Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Luckily those players are spread out and engaged in different battles... for the time being. Quote
Endgame Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Luckily those players are spread out and engaged in different battles... for the time being. I'll probbaly have hiccups with 4 questies while you guys juggle atleast 6-8 or so! Quote
Scubacarrot Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 You may want the Heroica logo on there, to have it fit with the other banners, maybe? Quote
Bricksandparts Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Can anyone give me critique on tis banner? It's nice, but a picture or a cooler background would make it better. Quote
Scorpiox Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 (edited) My point is how can it do elemental damage without having an elemental gem? That is a core mechanic of the game. You are saying the weapon can do elemental damage without an elemental gem. That would be changing a core mechanic of the game. Can't you let it go? I don't know, maybe it shakes the earth when hitting or something, but adding such a weapon is hardly changing core mechanics. You're saying that adding a small added effect is against the core rules? What about weapons such as the Lifestealer with its health drain? Or Haldor's claws with their SP? It's no-way near that much of a groundbreaking item, or are you covertly trying to blag a garnet? -------------------------------------------------- Oh and I'm really excited for the epic Dastan climax! Zeph, Doc and JimB, three of my favourite QMs working toward a very interesting goal. The suspense is killing me. (Thankfully it isn't figurative! ) Edited June 20, 2012 by Scorpiox Quote

You're saying that adding a small added effect is against the core rules? What about weapons such as the Lifestealer with its health drain? Or Haldor's claws with their SP? Those examples don't deal elemental damage which is a core mechanic. You sound like you're getting upset about this. B&P brought it up again and I just answered him. I'm past it. It's no-way near that much of a groundbreaking item, or are you covertly trying to blag a garnet? It's exactly the opposite of groundbreaking although apparently that is exactly what it was designed to do. It's restricted to an advanced class and deals 1 earth elemental damage bonus on a critical hit. I wouldn't have been interested in it at all if It would gave been made clear it didn't contain a garnet. Quote
Flipz Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 I'll be off and on today, if the plot needs to move forward, Zeph or Doc or JimB can dictate Arthur and Knyghton's actions. Quote

Here's my jurisdiction: This specific weapon does not contain a garnet, but in the future it is forbidden to create weapons with ubiquous elemental effects like that. Either the weapon is elemental (ie. it contains a gem) or it isn't. Case closed! Quote

Endgame Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 If I was on Quest 34, I'd just do nothing for 89 rounds while Noctus withers away. Quote

Scorpiox Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Tut tut, Count. Your guards are really lacking something. Tell you what, if you survive this, I can direct you to a very good trainer. We'll talk about the fee later. Yes! Rone returns! Quote

This weapon would stay elemental, as removing the gem would remove the blade. Quote

LEGOman273 Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 (edited) I forbid you to even think of any complex items like that! I already did. It is called the "Amethyst Blade". It also has a "hollow blade" - actually a vile in the hilt. It is WP 10, and can be upgraded. Edited June 20, 2012 by LEGOman273 Quote

What they should do though, is Guts and Dak sit back while Mr. Rone teaches Mr. Shadeaux the art of swordplay...or whatever. I can see it now. "Shadeaux look at your guards, then look at me," ad infinitum! Quote

Flipz Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Does it say something bad about me that I've found new motivation for my character through his decision to snap an innocent guard's neck? Quote
