Zepher Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 Yeah. I am actually hosting 2 very short smaller quests in July. 1 will be Wren, and one will introduce the NPC crowd you'll all get to hang out with when the Wren Quests have ended. Both will be 4 player, so if you want to Quest with me but are tired of Wren, the other quest will be for you! Sadly, if you want to quest with Wren and not me, that opportunity may not be open. CMP Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 Well, Quest 23 actually succeeded... Well, I'm pretty sure it ended trying to extort more gold from the town guard after sleeping through an attack on the barracks. (Though that was more or less an accident. ) I like Patricia as well. At first glance she's the usual gruff get-shit-done kind of captain, but she really does seem one of the few non-heroes to see the scum lining Eubric. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 Well, I'm pretty sure it ended trying to extort more gold from the town guard after sleeping through an attack on the barracks. (Though that was more or less an accident. ) I was cracking up when you decided to sleep, made the story so much better . Yes, I will be hosting in July, It will be a 4 players quest once again, and will feature Patricia, glad to hear you guys seem to like her, although Sandy has not talked to me about how she was going to be played, I think a wonderful job was made, very cool to see other people use your characters! (Hint: Use my characters, it makes me happy:tongue:) Quote
Zepher Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 See that's the difference between me and you. My characters are mine, NPC or not. I would be angry if people hijacked one of my characters (not directing this at anyone, no one has done it yet) without contacting me and asking express permission... though even then you'd be hard pressed to be released the rights. One more thing, Sandy. You consistently make inventive battles that stay within the game perimeters. Perhaps you have a slight leg-up since you made the mechanics to start with, but even so, it is so cool how you keep new battles rolling in while sticking to those rules you made at the beginning. For the record, I did ask Scuba's permission to use Patricia, and said that she would only act in the background without getting harmed in any way. I didn't feel the need to negotiate how to roleplay her, though, since I got a pretty good picture from Scuba's earlier quest. One more thing, Sandy. Perhaps you have a slight leg-up since you made the mechanics to start with, but even so, it is so cool how you keep new battles rolling in while sticking to those rules you made at the beginning. I have it easy, since I'm the only person I need to consult about it. Quote

I WOULD appreciate it if people consult me if they ever decide they want to use any of my npc's though, you never know if someone has major plans for certain characters, but know that I am very flattered if you do. Rumble Strike Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 The thing I am tinkering with is something a bit different and I'm sure I will need a lot of consultation with Sandy before it is approved. Quote
Endgame Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 The thing I am tinkering with is something a bit different and I'm sure I will need a lot of consultation with Sandy before it is approved. I like the sound of that qust already, Rumble. On the subject of consultation for quest approval, my process wasn't too long at all (I think?), mostly because it didn't attempt anything earth shatteringly revolutionary. I can guarantee it isn't going to mundane though! Quote
Scorpiox Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 (edited) Guts runs in circles for 68 rounds. 68 rounds of intense staring later, Count Shadeaux succumbs to the effects of the poisoning and falls unconscious to the ground. THE BATTLE IS VICTORIOUS! That my friends is how you win a battle. Edited June 21, 2012 by Scorpiox Quote
Flipz Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 Wowza, plenty of opportunity I see. I want to go on a Wren quest. A Flipz quest couldn't be bad either. Point one: agreed! (Especially after K-Nut's pep talk/ideas session! ) Point two: My big problem is sets; I never seem to have the parts I need for what I want to build. Hopefully once I pick up the Vampyre Castle I'll have enough parts to build the set I have in mind. Quote
K-Nut Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 (edited) Point one: agreed! (Especially after K-Nut's pep talk/ideas session! ) I am quite the motivator. Yeah, wasn't I supposed to do something with those? Edited June 21, 2012 by K-Nut Quote
Flipz Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 I am quite the motivator. Yeah, wasn't I supposed to do something with those? That was for a different idea, and I don't think either of us actually started any of the relevant work. Say...you DO have the Vampyre Castle, right...? Stand by for PM. Quote
K-Nut Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 Say...you DO have the Vampyre Castle, right...? Stand by for PM. Possibly. I do have it if it can stay together. if I have to take it apart, then I don't have it. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 Wasted role playing Guts! You could have talked trash, flexed your muscles, and performed sleights of hand for all of those rounds! Quote
Palathadric Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 There's actually several of them coming up before I leave for my trip. At least Scubacarrot, Capt.JohnPaul and Zepher will all be hosting in July. Adding to that, Rumble Strike, Flipz, Darth Nihilus, LEGOman and the Legonater are all planning for future quests, although none of their pitches have been officially approved yet. That's one of my upcoming quests, although there's several others pegged before that. Sounds exciting. July will be a busy month it seems for quests it seems. I guess it will need to be with the Dastan quests having, probably, come to an end already by then. Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 Wasted role playing Guts! You could have talked trash, flexed your muscles, and performed sleights of hand for all of those rounds! I just went to read that. 68 rounds!? That's the most hilarious battle ever in Heroica history! Sounds exciting. July will be a busy month it seems for quests it seems. If your excited, stay around for Princess Panic, Monk Pretzel seems the perfect type to save a damsel in a tower. Quote

That mission was just made for him, wasn't it? Make sure it doesn't start before I am back, assuming that I am chosen for the current quest. Consider me having "excellent reputation with the Capt.JohnPaul faction." Quote

LEGOman273 Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 How does the Town Watch feel about the Orc uprising? Do other groups support the Orcs? Quote

LEGOman273 Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 I think there was a bit about in Quest 23. The uprising began in #33, though. I'll check. Have "The Chosen One(s)" been announced for #36? Quote
