Scubacarrot Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 I am surprised that Wren doesn't live in Eubric. So much Chaos. . . Maybe she does... Quote
Endgame Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 So. Much. Loot. And you haven't even truly gotten started! Quote

Endgame Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 Now I'll stop. This could be seen as spam. Please keep in mind that I'm counter balancing with challenging battles, however. The one you were just in was the tip of the iceberg. Quote

RPGer Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 QM Note: "Crossbows, defend that hill! Don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes!" Wonderful reference. Quote
Flipz Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Hey folks, I'm contemplating what I should do with my Zoot's Cookie. I know I could just turn it to gold, but that seems wasteful to me, unless it was to buy something REALLY good. What do you all think would be more useful in the long run, more extra Health, extra Ether, or extra Power? Quote

I know I could just turn it to gold, but that seems wasteful to me, unless it was to buy something REALLY good. CMP Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 As a scroll mage, both health and power should be nearly worthless to you. Get the ether, or the gold if you really need it. Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Gold or health. Yo can never have enough of either. Power seems like a waste with such a powerful item. Quote
K-Nut Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Hey folks, I'm contemplating what I should do with my Zoot's Cookie. I know I could just turn it to gold, but that seems wasteful to me, unless it was to buy something REALLY good. What do you all think would be more useful in the long run, more extra Health, extra Ether, or extra Power? From what I've heard what your plan is for Arthur, I'd suggest Health or Power. I'd suggest Health more, since +1 Power may not be that useful in the long run. Quote
Zepher Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 The Jo-No Seed gives you the hastened effect in your next battle (just like a smelling salts) and adds the other two items to your inventory. It would be ill advised to use it at the end of a quest, as I think the hastened effect would go to waste. Quote
Endgame Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 I thought this would interest some of you: On Heroica's site, the relic section shows a 5th relic despite there only being 4 released board games: twin daggers called the "Blades of Bounty." The relic for Heroica Illrion, maybe? Quote
LEGOman273 Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Does anyone here speak French? If so, please PM me. If Sandy OK's it, I will be working on a Quest in Charis, and I want the characters to speak French. I am using Google Translate, but if someone could proofread everything before I post it (so that I don't say anything stupid), that would be great. Here is a sample: J'ai besoin d'une équipe de trois héros, à proximité de niveau 15. La récompense est de 150 d'or et une de niveau de l'expérience à chaque héros. I require a Party of three Heroes, close to Level 15. The reward is 150 Gold and one Level of Experience to each Hero. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 I think that having your NPCs speak French will just be a hassle for PCs trying to respond. Just have them use a French accent. Quote

And it also requires around 3 heroes. I'm not sure if Sandy will allow 2 so similar quests. Also, my characters won't be speaking French. (Except things like "Bonjour!") EDIT: I can understand a little bit of the sample. I need 3 heroes around level 15. The reward is 150 gold (?) and a level of experience. Edited June 24, 2012 by Capt.JohnPaul Quote

LEGOman273 Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 You can do what Sandy did, speak with a French accent with a few French words here and there. True. I simply thought that the Shadeaux had learned "English", and that those who still live in Charis would not have. Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 True. I simply thought that the Shadeaux had learned "English", and that those who still live in Charis would not have. Perhaps Heroica could be more like medieval times. (I don't want to get back in the discussion of medieval vs. Fantasy. ) Where they used Latin, the common language of the Church. So in Heroica, English is "common." Quote
LEGOman273 Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 No, a bit more than that. Good. I was getting worried. Perhaps Heroica could be more like medieval times. Endgame Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 I was originally going to have dialogue prepared in case you questioned how the Proggs speak English, but it seems unnecessary now. Quote
