Flipz Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 QM Note: This bomb situation is a unique, I think. I'll halve the damage to 4, and that'll be reflected on Pretzel's HP next round. I'll keep the damage the same though, since it is a ranged weapon (I think?) The bombs' damage should not be halved for row, but the damage done from Free Hits should be. I think this has come up once or twice before, but I can't remember for sure. Quote

What do you think of the quest so far? I've seen you reading it a couple times. I'm worried my narration is coming off as flat. Quote
CMP Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 (edited) Noted Xarxan had not posted. And figured that was what we were waiting on. I'm keen to keep this quest rolling, not least because it's linked with the others and making them have more filler battles would be impolite. If I've overstepped propriety by posting a battle order, I'm sorry. Some people call them 'filler battles'....all I see is 'extra EXP'. I'm really excited to see everything coming together. To the bomb thing, I'm pretty sure it's established that when people use items, it's, by default, from the back row, bombs being no exception. And if it doesn't go like that, this miniquest just got fifty times harder. Edited June 24, 2012 by CallMePie Quote

Don't worry, Chromeknight, given my bumbling Party Leadership, you guys won't have to rush so long as you continue to hold WBD hostage. That said, I am REALLY enjoying the 1-on-1 RP with Alexandre, hopefully Arthur can get some 1-on-1 with each of the other non-NPCs as well. Quote
LEGOman273 Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 I was originally going to have dialogue prepared in case you questioned how the Proggs speak English, but it seems unnecessary now. I was wondering about this. I just thought that it was the TARDIS vault translation device. Quote

For awhile, I didn't notice, then suddenly I thought, "Wait, it's just me and Flipz!" Hopefully Skrall and Isabella don't come back, we get to split the loot between only us! CMP Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Yeah, the 1-on-1 RP with Rumble Strike is fun (especially given recent events in Quest 30). Not to mention our current enemy has some interesting loot. Quote

Capt.JohnPaul Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Wait, you're split off from your main party, too? PARTY TIME! OMG. PARTY! After the battle, what kind of party should Arthur and Alexandre have? Hmmm.... TP Roland's wing of the palace... what a jerk. Quote
Zepher Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 After this update, I will be away getting oriented for college for two days, so all quests under my banner will be on hold. Sorry folks. That being said, this is the final round of my two weeks of hell (final show of High School, Graduation Rehearsals, Prom, Graduation, College Junk, etc.) so, for the rest of the summer, my effort can be poured into Heroica. Thanks for bearing with me! Quote

Thanks for bearing with me! I know the feeling. I'm lucky that my new college's orientation isn't until mid-July; graduating from community college has more complications attached to it, but they're spread out over a month and a half of hell, and it comes a little eariler in the year. I devote waaaaay too much energy to Eurobricks anyways, though, so you probably wouldn't notice that much of a dip even when I am insanely busy. Quote

Waterbrick Down Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 True. I simply thought that the Shadeaux had learned "English", and that those who still live in Charis would not have. I think we should remember that English is only being used out of convenience for the players, and not because Eubric belongs to an English speaking country in RL, thus their is no reason to expect that any other RL languages should exist in Heroica, the Shadeaux are based off of the French, they are not actually French. So Count Shadeaux isn't French French, he's Space Fantasy French? I can understand that. Obligatory Link Quote
Sandy Posted June 25, 2012 Author Posted June 25, 2012 So Count Shadeaux isn't French French, he's Space Fantasy French? I can understand that. Exactly. The people of Charis don't speak French anymore than than the folks in Eubric speak English. The real-world languages are just used to show the difference between the languages of those countries (and give the Shadeaux that extra flair). Don't overthink it, please. EDIT: Phew, both of my quests are done now! Hope you had fun in them! Quote
Endgame Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Just read the ending to 34 - hooray for undead civil rights! Quote

Not to mention our current enemy has some interesting loot. Extra XP? Interesting loot? What are these things of which you speak? This is not a complaint, I've been really enjoying the path I've taken through Dastan, and the people I'm with (now with bonus Nyx!) but we've been light on in the loot front. And the XP front, this is only our fourth battle, (not counting the Constance battle which didn't generate XP). Maybe we missed a side quest somewhere... Quote
