Masked Builder Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 Maybe add a indy satchel or something. Yeah, I'll see how that looks. Don't flatter yourself. Not in that way you goof. Quote
Endgame Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 I forget to mention it when it was being discussed earlier, but i probably will do a "behind-the-scenes" thing for Quest 36. Rejoice! Quote
Rumble Strike Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 Hey Endgame, now you know the number one QM rule: No Quest survives contact with the players! Quote
Endgame Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 (edited) Hey Endgame, now you know the number one QM rule: No Quest survives contact with the players! I'm still kind of groggy and brain dead from waking up, but... What does this mean? Edited June 26, 2012 by Endgame Quote

Scubacarrot Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 Allow me to illustrate: Link Hmm Yes, Quests aren't as open as the Darths and Droids campaign, if someone comes up with the plan, hey, the answer is in Salmanda, there will be few Questmasters that will allow you to do that, but still. If there is any sort of choice in the quest, it's best to be ready, and have it balanced, for all occasions, because players are unpredictable. I found it a massive help in my Quest as well that I had all sets build and photographed BEFORE the quest started, you never know how long or how short something is going to take. Quote
Endgame Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 (edited) Believe it or not? You guys have not completely messed up my outline! The most outline-busting thing so far was the fact that Erik and Mizuki both had incredibly powerful weapons for their level (says the guy who now has a WP:12 fan at level 5!). I had to use SP for that reason so Erik and Mizuki couldn't shred everything to bite-sized pieces. Holy helvetia though you guys are zooming through everything fast. Tachyon Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 I never knew we could get a second character at level 50........ Quote
Palathadric Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 I never knew we could get a second character at level 50........ Well, Sandy just made that rule not too long ago. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Are soma and nostrum made from alcahol ? Soma. Exact ingredients unknown. Nostrum is patent medicine, so it would probably have some sort of drug in it. Quote
Flipz Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 I know we've already discussed who should play our characters if Heroica were made into a movie/TV show, but we completely forgot NPCs! I, personally, favor Idina Menzel as Wren for some reason; does anyone else agree? Quote

K-Nut Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Eric Bauersfeld as all of the Teuthisal. Jim Carrey as Daffyd the Bunny Burglar anyone? Quote

Endgame Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 (edited) What do you guys think of the Sporeshrooms? I wanted a support enemy to go along with the big target (Artillery Progg). They're proving to be a lot easier to calculate then anticipated. EDIT: Also, on an unrelated note, don't I become a Knight or something in a few more posts? Edited June 27, 2012 by Endgame Quote

the leading man Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 hi everyone! I'm checking all of your topics since several day ( a lot of quest are just amasing to read ) nad i think i'm totaly corrupted by the system, and me and some friend are looking for trying it in "real" ( we have map, minifigure etc..) BUT i' have an issue, nad i admit i maybe blind, but I cannot find the rule where it says how many dammage the monster give to heroes. You're all playing for a while so i agree, i'm blind, but please, can u help me: how can u know the dammage of a monster ?? thank you ! ps: congratulations to Sandy for the rules! Quote
Sandy Posted June 28, 2012 Author Posted June 28, 2012 BUT i' have an issue, nad i admit i maybe blind, but I cannot find the rule where it says how many dammage the monster give to heroes. Hi, and thanks for the compliments! It's great to hear that even people not playing this game are fans. The simple answer to your question is that the monster's level determines the amount of damage it does. So an attack from a level 10 monster does 10 damage (ie. takes away 10 health) to a hero that stands in the front row and has no Shield Points. Have fun making this game work in the real world! Quote

If I ever make it to a brick convention (i.e. Brickworld or one of the other conventions), I think it would be a lot of fun to run a Quest live at the convention (a video record could be uploaded to YouTube and posted here for posterity). Bricksandparts Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Speaking of which, we should make rules fro a board game. It would use the Heroica game-board type maps, but we can make it more fun! I want to do this, but I'm sure it would probably end up too complex. If I get enough people, I'll start a thread so we don't clog up this thread. Quote
