Bricksandparts Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 (edited) I would like to adapt it in a sci-fi world to. Flipz is working on that, and is planning to run it after the Heroica RPG settles down. I have some ideas that I'd like to contribute to the game while it is still open to ideas. there was brickquest, but i don't know if the game is still alive But that takes too many legos for most people, and it doesn't really have the 3D feel I want to incorporate into A heroica board game. I'll get back to you when I have more of it planned out. Edited June 28, 2012 by Bricksandparts Quote
Bricksandparts Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 I'm almost finished with the build for the character stats. It can be built multiple ways, but I'm trying to make it look cool & functional with not many pieces. Quote

As i said, it's hard to mix fun et easy rules but still complex. I agree with you, BQ takes too many parts, even for 1 tiny room. I use Heroclix map for my session ( fit perfectly with a 4x4 plates ^^) Quote
RPGer Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 If I ever make it to a brick convention (i.e. Brickworld or one of the other conventions), I think it would be a lot of fun to run a Quest live at the convention (a video record could be uploaded to YouTube and posted here for posterity). Ooh! That would be epic! Quote

Capt.JohnPaul Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Speaking of which, we should make rules fro a board game. It would use the Heroica game-board type maps, but we can make it more fun! I want to do this, but I'm sure it would probably end up too complex. If I get enough people, I'll start a thread so we don't clog up this thread. I don't think we need this. I'm fine with it, but why couldn't we just play Heroica RPG EB version on a board? Or use the normal LEGO one? It's a cool idea, but I'm not convinced until I see some rules or a game that's different. I feel it will be to much like Sandy's, but I at the same time, don't want to be too different. You know what I'm saying? Maybe this belongs in your new topic, just respond to this in your new thread. Quote

I agree. that's why i'll made my own rules for my rpg+board game, and just adapt sandy's rules ( fun and easy to understand for people who don't use to play this kind of game ) in sci fi ^^ for me and friends . but if Sandy's agree, and if i suceed i'll post them in the forum. so many players play the her/his ( sorry ) rules, the sucess/credits belong to her/his ^^ Quote
CMP Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 (edited) Galen attacks the Chimera with the Sword of Bashing (extra effective against Icy monsters) from the back row. Unless I'm mistaken, it's actually ineffective against ice because it's been enchanted with an opal...doesn't bode much well for that battle. Edited June 28, 2012 by CallMePie Quote

But with the creature being a beast as well, wouldn't the super effective cancel out the ineffective to make it deal normal damage? Quote
Sandy Posted June 29, 2012 Author Posted June 29, 2012 IMPORTANT NOTICE!!! I will leave on my three week vacation this Sunday, so if I've discussed about a quest pitch with you previously, and you want to host that quest in July, contact me today or tomorrow and I'll see if your pitch is ready to be put up. This concerns people like Zepher, Capt.JohnPaul and Scubacarrot. It's too late to send in any new quest pitches, I simply don't have time to go through them anymore. Quote

Has Sloop gotten back to you about Quest 37? At first I didn't want to be on a quest while hosting, but now that I've nearly gotten QMing down to a science, I'd actually be interested. Quote
LEGOman273 Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 A question about Level: In Quest #24, I recieved Levels even when I had been KO'ed. In Quest #37, I did not recieve a Level when KO'ed. I checked the rules, and according to them, Endgame (QM of #37) is right. Was this different in the past? What can be done about this (i.e. must I lose Levels)? Additionally, Random Question of the Time-Period: How do you/do you organize your inventories? I put in Weapons in decreasing order of WP, then tools, then more common items (Potions, Venoms), then less common items (Mead, Smelling Salts), then Bombs. Quote

Hey, atleast get the quest number you're on right! Anyway, on a more serious note, I wouldn't nerf you down, but that type of thing is Sandy's jurisdiction (Who I belive is on vacation right now.). Masked Builder Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 Nope, you don't level up when you get KO'd. Quote
Endgame Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 Nope, you don't level up when you get KO'd. Would I/Should I nerf Daxus down a level, though? He's been playing with a flse level for a while - I imagine this would effect the outcome of a few 24 battles and 36 battles. Quote

I never remember giving you levels, unless you forgot and added them in yourself. Or maybe you got revived? Quote
Masked Builder Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 Yes you should. Though I wouldn't go back and do any battles over. Quote

Capt.JohnPaul Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 Checking now before I am nerfed. I just checked the battle you were KO'd in, you remained the same level in the stats after the battle. So I don't know what you are talking about. Quote

Endgame Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 Sorry about that. I simply misremembered. @Endgame: Please don't nerf me! Don't worry, I went checking myself. Yep, all your stats look in check. However, I WILL throw increasingly difficult battles at you (I'd say the past 3 have been difficult already. ). Always be prepared! Quote
Zepher Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 I'd say that the enemy my party is battling right now is one of the heavier hitters that we've had in Heroica... though this party is hitting pretty hard too. Quote

Can't wait to see the Chimera, Zepher. I think 32 damage is the highest in single-target damae, though I may be wrong. Am I the only one that finds it funny that the enemy with the most HP is a Bear Rug? Edited June 30, 2012 by Endgame Quote
