Here is, in my opinion, where we should say "No." It's in interesting idea, but Steampunk just isn't my thing. Then it wouldn't be Heroica anymore. But if we keep it fantasy, I'm okay.

Here's an interesting thought, one of the heroes is so lucky and has nostrums and loaded die and everything, that in the final battle, he doesn't get KO'd. :look:

I'm sorry, I'm just spit-balling. You're right, maybe steam-punk wouldn't be fun for everyone. I'm a Steam-Punk addict, but I do understand. Still, I'd want to see the landscape changed in SOME real way. Again, year and years away, real time.

And yes! That would be the idea. I wouldn't want all the heroes to die. Just if you got KO'd, that would be it. It would add a real challenge to that final quest, and would let those who wanted to go out in a blaze of glory. When your character is playing for real permanent stakes... that changes the game. Boomingham would be way more likely to revive a friend if the consequence was them gone as opposed to not gaining half a level. And you'd also play the game differently. I always like seeing who comes out at the end of an epic fight in movies. The rag-tag gang is always more fun to see than everyone. Maybe one character would lose all their friends, and maybe Althior and Alexis would come through totally fine. It would be the ultimate final Role-Playing experience for the heroes to deal with real death, while still a majority of them surviving. Think Serenity or Game of Thrones.

I still want to go on a Wren quest Zeph.:grin:

There are four spots.

Landscape changing- I totally agree!!! The world could be turned into a wasteland or something, or at the very end, a wizard makes us go back in time. Oh a better idea! :oh::classic: Then when back in time, it is during the orc wars, and are new/old heroes were soldiers who fought against the orcs.

My only problem is, I'd like to keep my old character. :cry_sad: He wouldn't have to have the same name or level, but just his story be almost exactly alike.

Everyone buy lots and lots of Phoenix essences!:sing:

Yeah, I got the hint, it's too bad, would have loved to have you around. You best come back for the final Wren Quest though!

I definitely plan to! Quest 19 was the most fun I've had on a quest so far, and I wouldn't pass up on a chance for Dyric to come face-to-face with his arch-nemesis again! default_satisfied.gif

Zepher, I absolutely love Boomingham.

Hehe, I do too! He's a lot of fun to play, and I actually know him at this point, which is really fun. I want to be a writer, and I've never spent a year with a character before, so it's been quite an exercise and experience.

Zepher, please can we have some better dice?

Pwease? :cry_happy:

We'll see what Orang and Amphibiannoc have in store for you.

Speaking of writing, that's another way we end with a bang whenever Heroica ends in a very long time. Each quest is a different book. :classic: We had this discussion awhile back, it would be pretty cool. Or maybe each character has their own book?

I think Sandy has a lot of plans for the main Houses that we are yet to see. They post a lot about 'storylines' so I think the main narrative thread will continue for a while yet.

Plus there are the great QMs with their ideas, and I have an idea I am working on, and I am also currently trying to brainstorm ideas for the conclusion of the Sorona/Haroka situation as I want to have a very solid idea of where I want it to go. Can't really wing an ending!

I've been bugging K-Nut for days trying to get him to post.

:innocent:

I have the whole post written, I'm just too lazy to copy and paste it.

And you wonder why your relationship is failing. :hmpf:

:innocent::tongue:

Please, that's an in game relationship. This is just me torturing Masked and enjoying it. :snicker:

I'll have you know my depiction of the sun is the most accurate one ever created! It is a gorgeous work of art and should be treated as such! :damn:

...okay, I drew it with the circle and line tool and didn't bother fixing it...

And didn't you use 1's and /'s and stuff for the spokes? That actually is pretty clever.:blush:

Is the damage dealt by the poisoned and badly poisoned effects affected by SP & row? If you're poisoned in the front row can you step back the next round to half the damage?

That would not make any logical sense.

From my understanding, poison is always 1 damage and deadly poison is always 10 damage. SP and row are not taken into effect. This kind of makes sense due to the fact that position and armor wouldn't help you against something that is attacking you from one's blood stream.

Hey, does anyone know what happened to LEGOman? His PMs, avatar, and signature are disabled. Plus, his status says "Mommy busted me and I can't play LEGO Mafia and Roleplay games anymore."

Can anyone shed light on this? I'd hate to have to get a new player in 36 so close to the end and when Daxus was so active and contributive. :frown:

*oh2* I knew it! I knew it! We all should've believed Monk Pretzel when he said bad things will happen to thieves.:grin:

Honestly, I don't know. What would he get "busted" for?

I have no idea. he was just on, but he just searched something for a little bit, then logged off immediately after. :sceptic:

Now his status is gone. Strange.

At this point, I may have to make Daxus as an NPC. Brining a hero in the aptly named "Penultimate battle" would be silly... :sceptic:
