The Legonater Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 The one with sign-ups already up!! If you look at the characters who have already been on a Wren Quest, there is more than you' think. Cronk, Thothwick, Eric, Hybros, Docken, Jess, Henry, Daggerfall, Tesni, Haldor, Rone, Skrall, Hoke, Atramor, Nyx, Tarn, and William. That's 17 already. I'm probably going to bring 4 returning questers on the newest quest, and a 5th new one. That gives me 18 heroes to pick from, assuming that they all sign up for the final quest. I've thought out all the combinations, and they are all awesome. It will be very very tough. I've got to say, I'm really excited. Did you say it was this Winter? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 No Wardens with level 15 shields allowed. Hey, my Arena record is 0-1, and you were the one that beat me. How about an SP: 16 shield? Quote
CMP Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 No Wardens with level 15 shields allowed. Don't worry, the Cursed and Badly Posioned effects completely disregard SP. And deal an ominous 13 damage per round to boot. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Hey, my Arena record is 0-1, and you were the one that beat me. How about an SP: 16 shield? I guess since we have 8 spots, a Warden and Hunter combo would make a pretty sweet team. Powerful offense and defense in one mix. Throw in a super lucky stunning sorcerer and we'll be all set. Quote
CMP Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 My intended strategy after the Dastan quests end and I get back to the hall, combat-wise, I feel might be a bit game-breaking. But it's too awesome not to use at the same time. Quote
Zepher Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Cursed doesn't work that way, CMP. It takes 3 away from total health, it doesn't deal 3 every round. Quote
Adam Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 (edited) Alright, one more question. Is there a limit to how sexy my character can be? Edit: Zepher, just saw your post. Perchance consider me for that duty spot? I'll have my character info up in like an hour. Edited July 26, 2012 by Adam Quote
CMP Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Cursed doesn't work that way, CMP. It takes 3 away from total health, it doesn't deal 3 every round. It does the latter as a result of the former, I think. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Alright, one more question. Is there a limit to how sexy my character can be? Not that I know of. If there is, I'm pretty sure Shadows' character ignores it. It does the latter as a result of the former, I think. Only if the max Health and current Health are the same. (since the current HP can't exceed the max HP, unless you rolled Aura) If the enemy's current Health is low enough that decreasing the max Health by 3 doesn't cause the current Health to exceed the max Health (like, for example, if the enemy was Badly Poisoned), then the max Health would simply decrease by 3 without affecting the current Health. Zepher Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 If it's any consolation, until we saw it in action during Badger, I thought it worked the way you thought it worked. Quote
CMP Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 I'd say it's a shame that enemies don't heal, which would make it more useful, but someone might get the wrong idea. Quote
Zepher Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Many enemies have the healing ability. The next Wren quest will feature an enemy that can heal. The Chimera Guards can heal. Quote
Flipz Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 8 players (all of whom must have been on a Wren Quest), 4 returning villain NPCs (well, 5 in a sort...), 12 returning friendly NPCs (8 of whom can die during the quest). I have the outline written up in its entirety already. I'm really really really excited. Would the Dastan Questies who have met Wren count as having been on a Wren Quest, or only those from Quest 30 specifically? Quote
CMP Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 (edited) Many enemies have the healing ability. The next Wren quest will feature an enemy that can heal. The Chimera Guards can heal. Well, I meant on the scale that heroes do. The effect is a lot more useful as anti-hero than anti-enemy. Edited July 26, 2012 by CallMePie Quote

You've got some reading to do. I assume you'll finish it by the end of the evening. Q 30 only, but you may be able to hop on Q38... maybe I should expand it to 6 players. EDIT: Ella looks so lonely. Brickdoctor Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Welcome back, Flipz! I'd say it's a shame that enemies don't heal, which would make it more useful, but someone might get the wrong idea. I've had enemies that could heal and enemies that could bring other enemies back to life. Got slaughtered anyways, but that was my fault. Me and my overpowered Horses. Quote

Q 30 only, but you may be able to hop on Q38... maybe I should expand it to 6 players. EDIT: Ella looks so lonely. I'm mostly finished, I kinda glossed over the trebuchet battle, I'll pick that up later. Definitely expand that to 6 players, though, I REALLY want a crack at Wren. I can fix that for you. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 I didn't want to break your game by having Tarn beat up everything in his way to get to Ella and then rescue her. In one turn That would be a hell of a bolded action! Quote
Sandy Posted July 26, 2012 Author Posted July 26, 2012 Adam, I wholeheartedly welcome you to join the game! New players seem to come in waves, so perhaps your joining will lure a few lurkers in as well. And Flipz, good to have you back. What would've we done without your in-depth analyses? I know, he's not going for another quest or 2, but I don't think I'm going to go all the way to level 50. Like Pie said ealier, that'll take approximately 3-4 years and I'd rather not wait that long before trying out a new character. It won't take even nearly that long, not with the new unlimited quest introduced next month. You'll all be in for a HUGE surprise with that one! Quote
Peppermint_M Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Oh Zepher!! Tesni must once more meet Wren on the field of battle!!! Tesni will just have to charm her way into a quest soon enough! Quote

Scorpiox Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 I am very excited to see how quest 38 pans out, all this talk of Wren is making me eager to see what will happen. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 (edited) Thanks for adding in the enemy locations, makes it a lot easier for everyone, hopefully! It's taking a long time for me to wrap my head around the whole concept, I'll admit, but it has been fun so far, a bit cat and mouse. Edited July 26, 2012 by Rumble Strike Quote
posades Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Welcome back, Flipz! I've had enemies that could heal and enemies that could bring other enemies back to life. Got slaughtered anyways, but that was my fault. Me and my overpowered Horses. My horse can roam the hallways of the palace right? Too bad I haven't had to move much yet (and it looks like I won't for the foreseeable future). Quote
