Sandy Posted August 4, 2012 Author Posted August 4, 2012 Now those are some cool-looking classes. Thanks! And as a potentially interesting tidbit, I can tell you that the two prophets are followers of Danab and Centurus, respectively. Quote
Palathadric Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Suddenly I don't want to be a prophet anymore. People will be associating me with a bull-man. I really like the pictures, though, Sandy. Especially the Paragons. If a hero is hastened and they attack once from the front row and once from the back and receive a free hit, is the free hit taken from the back row or the front? Welcome to Heroica, Raven Brickroft! It's grand seeing more new faces. Quote
K-Nut Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 After that, in a few days the Training Room will be updated with the finalized Expert and Master job classes. Here's a few new pictures to whet your appetite: Prophet = Quote
Masked Builder Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Wow, yeah Sandy, those class pictures look great! I've already got an outfit in mind. Quote
Endgame Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Those Master classes look awesome, Sandy. A paragon's life is for me! Also, please enjoy your nightmare fuel, 36ers... Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Ok, let's get this started questers! BTW Sandy, those classes are amazing. Quote
Endgame Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Am I allowed to chuck Fantome Croise out the window when he is dead? Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Am I allowed to chuck Fantome Croise out the window when he is dead? The window isn't big enough to throw the Phantom Crusader out of. Though I bet you and Lycan will make him fit. Quote
Sandy Posted August 4, 2012 Author Posted August 4, 2012 If a hero is hastened and they attack once from the front row and once from the back and receive a free hit, is the free hit taken from the back row or the front? Since the hero last attacked from the back row, the Free Hit will be taken from that row. The hero has not had a chance to move in between. Quote
Wedge09 Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 I'm new and I have some questions: 1. I have created my character (see below), how do I put the photo and the text in my signature?? (If I try, tells me I have exceeded the number of rows) Alexander Vandangant, Level 1 Ranger 99 years old human Power: 6 Health: 6 Gold: 10 Inventory: Smoke Bomb (WP: 3), Potion I have also the introduction: After defeating many enemies in the border regions, Alexander Vandangant decided to go to Eubric Freeport to seek new challenges in the Heroica. I need to put it in the Heroica Hall, right? 2. How do I join a Quest? 3. How long are the Quest?? 4. I'm Level 1, I must start for Quest 1? Thank you Quote
Palathadric Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 (edited) Welcome, Wedge09! It's always great to have new players. 1. You will probably have to add the picture next to the one already on your signature as opposed to below it. You should then be able to fit all the text easily. If not, you may need to resize the pictures to around 100x100, which is advisable anyway for your Heroica character's picture. Also the health should be written 6/6. 2. The new quests are posted on the first page of the Heroica Hall topic. When new quests are posted, Sandy notifies us in the Heroica Hall thread, so then you just need to check the first page and sign up for one you are eligible for and wish to go on. 3. The quests length is different for each quest. For the most part I would say they go from 1-3 months or so. It's not too time-consuming though if you don't want it to be. 4. No. You can sign up for any quest that is still on the sign-up board in Heroica Hall. Hope you have a great time playing, and I hope I answered your questions satisfactorily. Endgame Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 A few other things, Wedge: A smoke bomb is an item that is used to flee battles, not an actual weapon. Your power is your Weapons WP + level, so your power should be 4. I believe Rangers can choose to wield Crossbows, Bows, throwing weapons or hand cannons as their starting weapon. Besides that, good luck and enjoy the game! Quote
Wedge09 Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 What different there are between crossbows, Bows, throwing weapons or hand cannons?? Quote
Endgame Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 What different there are between crossbows, Bows, throwing weapons or hand cannons?? As far as I understand, crossbows, bows, and handcannons all equate to the same thing, just with different names. Throwing weapons (a.k.a. a throwing knife) are ranged weapons that must be retrieved to use again. I'd recommend starting out with a bow, though - it is a ranged weapon that doesn't need to be retrieved. Quote
Sandy Posted August 4, 2012 Author Posted August 4, 2012 I'm new and I have some questions: Hi, and welcome to the game! Endgame and Palathadric have answered your questions correctly. You just need to pick yourself a weapon in order to get chosen into quests. Also, is your character really a 99-year old human? He certainly doesn't look like one... An elf of that age would be more plausible. Quote
Wedge09 Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 (edited) Added a bow, Thank you It takes young, ok a elf is more probable Excuse me, the last question: I see the two new quest in the hall; I think to partecipate in the Quest #40: The Strivvian Job. How do I sign up? Edited August 4, 2012 by Wedge09 Quote
Endgame Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Added a bow, Thank you Sorry to be a bother but one last issue: The bow is WP3, the smoke bomb is just a one-use item (Thus, it has no WP). Just move the (WP3) tag in front of the Bow and you'll be all set to explore the world of Heroica! Hope you enjoy your time here, Wedge. Quote
Sandy Posted August 4, 2012 Author Posted August 4, 2012 It takes young, ok a elf is more probable I'm sorry, I don't understand what you mean... Excuse me, the last question:I see the two new quest in the hall; I think to partecipate in the Quest #40: The Strivvian Job. How do I sign up? Just make a post where your character signs into the quest by writing the names of the desired quests in bold. If you are still unsure, just see how others have done it. It's always good to read old quests and other topics so that you better understand the game. Links to all related topics can be found in the Heroica RPG Index. Quote
Wedge09 Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 The post in the Heroica Hall, right? So: Alexander Vandangant saw a poster for a Quest: Quest #40: The Strivvian Job. He think: It's a good idea to partecipate. Then he go to sign up for the quest. Quote

CMP Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 (edited) Unlimited Quest: Fields of Glory Reward: “The more you fight, the more Glory Points (GP) you gain. GP can be exchanged for special prizes. Additionally, you can keep whatever you find in the fields.” So...in other words...fortune and glory? Looks like an interesting quest. Is there any chance you'd consider accepting a pre-formed party like that of Quest 39? Just curious, it seems like a party would last a lot longer if they were all agreed on how long to be on the quest for, and knowing what everyone was going to be doing, ie, the main healer and such. That's a good idea. If a team already has a designated healer and would like a fiesty, element wielding Battle Mage with a tendency to want to stab enemies in the eye with the heel of her stilettos accompanied by the worlds most un-terrifying pet spider, then Nyx would be up for it. Endgame Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 That unlimited quest... Now that Ellaria is (both fortunately and unfortunately) back in hero duty, how do you quest, Sandy? I'd assume you'd know about most, if not all, the plot twists by that point, as well as the battles. Quote
