Endgame Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Sandy only plays in Quests QMed by others. I know, but they all have to go through Sandy. Sandy would know most of the battles before the quest even begins, I'd think. Quote
Darkdragon Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 I know, but they all have to go through Sandy. Sandy would know most of the battles before the quest even begins, I'd think. No not really. Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 I know, but they all have to go through Sandy. Sandy would know most of the battles before the quest even begins, I'd think. No. I've been doing 3 quests, (including 37) and I've never had to give information about the battles. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 That's a good idea. If a team already has a designated healer and would like a fiesty, element wielding Battle Mage with a tendency to want to stab enemies in the eye with the heel of her stilettos accompanied by the worlds most un-terrifying pet spider, then Nyx would be up for it. I thought Nyx was going to kick megablocks with the town watch . Quote
JimBee Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Hmm, do we have an earlier ruling about this? I don't think so, but looking back on old quests it seems that I personally have kept effects on people who have been knocked out... However, the simplest solution would be that once the player is knocked out, all other effects vanish (unless they're permanent). Does the jury agree with this? That's the way I've always done it, and as far as i can remember, you have, too. I agree with this. Sorry I didn't catch these weaknesses before... I don't blame you, I think we will have corrections for ECs and MCs sometime in the distant future, too. It really depends on how the game has changed since then, and also the fact that we've seen the classes in action. However, I've been pondering on the option of changing the "random element" ruling of the SHIELD-skills of Mages, Battle Mages, Sages and Mystic Knights so that IF they have chosen to use an elemental spell in the turn that they roll a SHIELD, the chosen element is used. If they have chosen to use another action, the element would be random. Would this fix the inherent problem with all these skills, without having to change them any further? What say you? This would make sense. Quote
CMP Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 QM Note: Not necessarily. And correct, a hexed opponent attacks an ally instead of an enemy. If you roll damage, the Commander will attack the first enemy listed (that's in the room). Actually, I think it's a random enemy, including itself. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 So do heroes in the Unlimited Quest get 'GP' and XP, or just the Glory Points? It takes guts, strength and cooperation to survive in the fields, but the rewards are worth the effort. I guess that means Tammo gets first crack at it. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 I guess that means Tammo gets first crack at it. No, it just meant that no one succeeds unless Guts is there Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Ok questers, your tests are over. Preparations are almost done for the boss battle. You 3 have so much skill, I pretty much doubled the Fantome Croise's health, along with all his guards. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 No, it just meant that no one succeeds unless Guts is there No, you are named Guts, but no one has as much guts as Tammo does. Quote
Masked Builder Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 No, you are named Guts, but no one has as much guts as Tammo does. I could have sworn he lost some of those... Quote
Scorpiox Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Ellaria may be in a bad situation, but at least she is surrounded by plenty of concerned friends. It might be time for the return of Docken's Famous Expanding table, which is built for five persons, but can easily hold in excess of 15. Quote

Flipz Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 OK, I hate to do this, but my Internet access will be really spotty starting Monday and continuing for about a week, so I need to make some preparations in advance just in case I'm not able to get online. First, should the need arise, Zepher may determine Arthur's role-playing actions, particularly if Wren is involved. As far as battle actions go, Arthur will follow the other Heroes' advice in this order: Atramor, then Cronk, then Skrall. Second: If the Dastan Quest ends, please consider Arthur to be signed up for Quest 38. Third: If the Dastan Quest ends, Arthur will immediately settle as many of his debts as possible. This means: The_Customizer, Erdathcath may take 75 Gold from Arthur, if you are still willing to sell him your Scroll of Weakening. Bricksandparts, Alf is authorized to claim 124 gold, as previously agreed, for the purchase of the Healing Staff and for the purchase of the Scroll of Luck. Fourth: If Arthur wins a Scroll from the lottery that he already has (this includes the Scroll of Weakening if Erdathcath says she's still willing to sell it), he will attempt to negotiate a trade for a Scroll of Frailty. If he wins anything else, he will hold on to it. Fifth: If Arthur has any leftover money, he will attempt to purchase a Robe of Archmagi, or, if he does not have enough money for this, a pair of Spellbound Gloves. He will make no other purchases. Lastly: To the Party Leaders of the Dastan Quests (Skrall, Thothwick, Sarick): Arthur will seek the Topaz from Lord Blackenord, as well as as much Gold as he can convince you to let him have. He will not seek the Zoot's Plaything, though he will ask to touch it for just a moment, to give it to whoever ultimately recieves it. I hate to have to put this in such a cold, mechanical manner, but I want to be prepared in case Idaho has no wi-fi. Quote

Capt.JohnPaul Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 I think I scared myself the Death Progg's final enemy mugshot... Aw really? Seriously, put it in Spoliers. You're gonna give someone nightmares. Quote
CMP Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 (edited) Zepher, I don't think anyone rolled Special Damage in the Great Hunt fight, why is Pillus healing himself, and why isn't it costing him ether? Even our enemies aren't that hellishly difficult. Edited August 4, 2012 by CallMePie Quote
Zepher Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Round 2, Pillus got special damage, though I may have forgotten to subtract the ether. Quote
CMP Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Nevermind, I got confused, I thought he did so during Round 3 as well. Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Nevermind, I got confused, I thought he did so during Round 3 as well. He did get healed in rounds 2 and 3, but lost no ether. Also, for my next idea, it would involve some freaky accident involving my planned second character ( his death ) but could I use a frog as my character? He could talk normal language as a gift from Ennoc, and would probably be a cleric. He would be related to Lycan as an adopted brother. I'm just asking as it would be the first frog hero. Quote
