TheBoyWonder Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 No, rather to rip open his guts Then stuff it with poisoned cow. Quote
posades Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Does anyone else think getting items and experience after each round of the unlimited quest is a bit much? Or will items only be distributed every x-amount of rounds? I say this because without any significant roleplaying or story to push, heroes in active-posting groups will grow really quickly. Perhaps people on that quest could gain half experience instead? Just wondering because if it's loot and exp. someone is after, they may disregard other quests and just stick with the neverending forever. Quote

No. You get experience every battle in normal quests, and you get the dropped items. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Oops, sorry Zeph, stuff gets clogged in that thar hall. Quote
Sandy Posted August 7, 2012 Author Posted August 7, 2012 Once an item has been Mythrilized can it be de-Mythrilized and then, later on re-Mythrilized? Just wondering. No, and why would you want to do something like that, anyway? You can only mythrilize a specific weapon or shield once, and that weapon has to be renamed to "Mythril [whatever]". Simple as that. All will be clear once the "Fields of Glory"-topic is posted. I've made the system so that it cannot be endlessly abused. Quote

I've made the system so that it cannot be endlessly abused. I wasn't criticizing, I was just asking questions to clarify and suggesting alternatives to the way the quest operates; and it's nice to know you've put in safe-guards to deter people from abusing the system, though there was no way to read your mind and know that before I posted. I thought you were always looking for ways to improve the game, but with hostile responses like this I guess I'll keep my mouth shut in the future. Quote
Sandy Posted August 7, 2012 Author Posted August 7, 2012 Here are the four updated advanced job classes, as promised. The only thing changed in them are the Shield-skills, but I ask everyone to pay attention. The changes I made are as follows: - The Witch's "Hex" was clarified in the circumstance that the Witch chose to heal instead of attack. In that case the strongest remaining enemy will be hexed. - The Battle Mage, Sage and Mystic Knight now cause chosen elemental damage with their shield-skills, instead of random. If no element was chosen (ie. the hero chose to attack physically or heal), only then the element will be randomly selected from those available to the hero. - The Battle Mage and Mystic Knight got a boost in their shield-skill power. The "Spellblade" now deals damage equal to three times the weapon power added to level, plus elemental damage with the same power. The "Spellspin" now deals 2-12 chosen elemental hits, whereas it used to be 1-6 random elemental hits. Hope you like and approve these changes! I apologize, I wasn't trying to be hostile, but you did give suggestions and make assumptions over something you haven't even seen in action yet. I'm more than grateful for any feedback about the Unlimited Quest, as there might be gaping holes in it that I failed to even take into consideration, but please wait until you see the system I've made for it. Are we cool? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 No, and why would you want to do something like that, anyway? To pay less for a WP/SP upgrade. For example, right now, if I wanted to upgrade my Mythril Shield to SP: 18, it would cost me 160+170+180=510 Gold. If I de-Mythrilized it first, it would cost me 100+60+70+80+100=410 Gold. Quote

Sandy Posted August 7, 2012 Author Posted August 7, 2012 To pay less for a WP/SP upgrade. Ah, I see. But it makes no sense that metal could be extracted from a forged weapon, so it's still a no. Quote

TheBoyWonder Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 I've already put a bid in for the staff. I need that for my Planned post 50 second character. Being a cleric, with a frog, he needs that. Quote
Zepher Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Staff of the Frog Paladin, it's obviously the staff Atramor touched in a certain basement. I apologize if I've unintentionally high-jacked loot. I don't recall things as well as others. I guess great minds think alike? Of course, for Quest 39, I intentionally high-jacked loot. I agree not everyone should have every ability in the game, but with all this great loot out there, I think QMs put TOO MUCH thought into creating new unique items. I think we ought to reuse some of the cool items that have already been thought up! It would be game breaking, if we ALL had books of a thousand creatures (even though Edgar hasn't popped out his head forever) but there being two of them out there certainly wouldn';t be bad. I used a Frozen Sabre on purpose, just in case anyone was angry about their unique item having a replica. now they can't complain, because I robbed Boomingham of his uniqueness as well. Finally, Q39ers, I'd like to put the Quest on hold for a day or two, until I can get back to my camera. You're already about half of a way through, and I don't want to continue before I get to take the next pictures. If you really want to power onward, I'll edit them in later, but if you don't mind a pause, that's my preference! Quote

Zepher Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 I want a hollow blade so very badly. Go read my conversations with Gurnam in Q28. See what I ask for. Over and over again. Quote

Zepher Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 That is quite literally the set-up item I have ready to be pictured at home. Apparently the Antiquarian or a friend of his has had a run-in with a Frog Paladin, and kidnapped their staff. Quote

JimBee Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 I'm fine with the quest delay, Zeph. I also had a question about glass weapons, but I forgot it as i was typing this... Do smelling salts count as a liquid? And what are the rules concerning hollow weapons? If you want to use an item in your weapon during battle, does that mean you have to attack with that weapon? And do you have to use the item before you attack, or can it be after? Quote

I agree, some of the nicer gadgets and weapons, like Lifestealer and Mercutio's Dagger of Mugging, are begging to be re-released for the newer playersto grab their own special weapons. Just so long as no-one else gets a Heavy Metal Rod... Quote
